On a rotary screen filtering device for medium to high-viscosity fluids, which comprises a rotary screen mounted for rotation in a housing, which screen has at least one screen element through which fluid can flow, the rotary screen, in the region of its sealing faces and the intermediate plates are fabricated or machined together so that they are of identical height. A gap width compensation layer is then inserted between the inlet plate and the intermediate plate and/or between the outlet plate and the intermediate plate. The package of plates is then pretensioned by means of screw bolts in such a manner that all the plates lie firmly against one another up to a maximum permissible operating pressure. Lubrication gaps of defined width are created between the sealing faces and the opposing inner faces of the inlet and outlet plates.

The extrusion head comprises an assembly of at least two plates which are arranged side by side. Each plate having at least one cavity which enables the mixture from an extruder to be chaneled towards an outlet hole. The plates are arranged substantially transversely relative to the output direction of the mixture flows of the extruders in order to produce a discharge at approximately 90 of the mixture flow at the outlet of the screw of each extruder.

An extrusion die is part of a hollow profile extruder. The extrusion die has a die housing. An extrusion annulus is inwardly defined by a mandrel and outwardly defined by a die ring. The mandrel is held and supported by a housing-side mandrel support. The mandrel support is mounted by a tilt joint tiltably relative to the tool ring by two degrees of freedom. Depending on the tilted position of the mandrel support, a distribution of a width of the extrusion annulus can be adjusted. A centering device serves to set the tilted position of the mandrel support. The result is an extrusion die, which ensures manageable adjustment of a wall width of a hollow profile in mass production.

The die plate changing system also includes a movement assembly operably coupled to the frame and that selectively moves the frame between a first position, where the first die plate receives material from the material source, and a second position, where the second die plate receives the material from the material source.

A method for replacing one or more components of a lip adjustment assembly mounted to a die body of an extrusion die is disclosed. Initially, a translating unit of the lip adjustment assembly is accessed through an exposed end of the lip adjustment assembly. Then, an adjustment actuator is removed from a translator of the translating unit. The translator is decoupled from a rod of the translating unit so that the translator is removable from the lip adjustment assembly and with respect to the rod. Next, the translator is removed from the lip adjustment assembly and a first component of the translating unit is replaced with a second component of the translating unit.

A nozzle arrangement for a granulator has a nozzle body with an inlet side as well as an outlet side, a nozzle plate with nozzle holes arranged on the outlet side for forming melt strands, and flow channels formed in the nozzle body and connected to the inlet side and the outlet side in a fluid-conducting manner for supplying a melt flow to a nozzle plate. An annular connection channel connects a plurality of flow channels in a fluid-conducting manner. A method for separating a melt flow into melt strands is also described.

Provided are a locking device for a rubber composite extruder head, a rubber composite extruder head and a locking method for a rubber composite extruder head. The locking device for the rubber composite extruder head includes a lock door, a connecting seat, a connecting plate, and a mobile unit. The lock door includes a through hole, the connecting seat is arranged in the through hole. The mobile unit is installed in an inner cavity of the connecting seat. The connecting plate is located outside the lock door, both ends are respectively connected with the lock door. The mobile unit is connected with the connecting plate; the mobile unit drives the lock door through the connecting plate to move reciprocally. The locking devices are symmetrically installed on two side surfaces of the rubber composite extruder head.

Methods and apparatus for enhancing the flatness of a die by applying adhesive to a shim having a selected flatness, rotating the shim to spread the adhesive to a layer having a uniform thickness, evacuating a chamber to create a vacuum; manipulating a die onto the adhesive layer in the chamber; and reducing a level of the vacuum to pressure the die onto the adhesive layer such that the bow in the die is reduced as the die conforms to the shim.
