SCREW MACHINE AND METHOD FOR THE PROCESSING OF MATERIAL TO BE PROCESSED
A screw machine includes an inductive heating device for the processing of material to be processed. The inductive heating device is used to heat the material in a heating zone. In the heating zone, at least one housing portion is made of an electromagnetically transparent material at least partly, the material being non-magnetic and electrically non-conductive, whereas at least one treatment element shaft is made of an electrically conductive material at least partly. During the processing of the material, the inductive heating device generates an alternating magnetic field that produces eddy current losses in the at least one treatment element shaft, the eddy current losses leading to a temperature increase of the at least one treatment element shaft. The material is heated on the at least one heated treatment element shaft, in particular until it melts. The screw machine allows a simple and efficient melting of the material, with the result that a mechanical energy input and a resulting wear of the screw machine can be reduced significantly.
Extruder for Feed- and Foodstuffs
An extruder for making meat analogue products, where the extruder comprises a product outlet (22), and a longitudinal barrel (8) comprising an inner surface (14) and an outer surface, and where the extruder further comprises heating means for heating at least a part of said inner surface, where said barrel (8) interconnects with said product inlet (5) and outlet (22), where the extruder further comprises a rotor (16) arranged coaxially inside said barrel (8), where said rotor (16) comprises drive means (19) for rotating said rotor (16) in relation to the barrel (8).
LINER-TYPE BARREL
A barrel main body, a sleeve, and a fixing mechanism (a fastening hole and a fastening device) are provided. The barrel main body includes a barrel hole having a cylindrical shape and a slit dividing an inner circumferential surface of the barrel hole. The sleeve having a hollow cylindrical shape is removably incorporated into the barrel hole. The slit includes two cutout surfaces facing each other with a space between. The fixing mechanism brings the inner circumferential surface of the barrel hole into close contact with the sleeve without any gap by narrowing the space between the cutout surfaces and deforming the barrel main body.
Installation for producing a polymer melt and use of such an installation for producing a polymer melt for a porous film
An installation for producing a polymer melt for a porous film, in particular for a membrane film, comprises a planetary roller extruder. Said extruder is used to produce a flowable polymer melt from thermoplastics. The planetary roller extruder has a filling opening and a discharge side for delivering the polymer melt. A melt pump is further provided. The discharge side of the planetary roller extruder is connected to a downstream inlet side of the melt pump for further conveying the polymer melt. The connection is in the form of a pressure channel shielded from the ambient atmosphere or a pressure line shielded from the ambient atmosphere. The planetary roller extruder and the melt pump are designed and/or can be driven in such a manner that the polymer melt is applied or can be transferred under pressure at the melt pump on the inlet side.
Single and twin screw extruders with ultrasound horns for decrosslinking and devulcanization
Processes for decrosslinking crosslinked plastic and devulcanizing vulcanized rubber include advancing such materials through single screw or twin screw extruders including special ultrasonic treatment zones wherein threadless shaft (single screw) or shafts (twin screw) rotate under an ultrasonic horn having a distal end aligned with the shaft or shafts and being shaped complimentary thereto. Special arcuate (single screw) or double-arcuate ultrasonic treatment flow paths confine the materials to flow under the horn where the material is subjected to ultrasonic waves to decrosslink the material, in the case of crosslinked plastic, or devulcanize the material, in the case of vulcanized rubber, with the extrudate leaving the die as a continuous stream or rope as is typical of virgin plastic or rubber.
TEMPERATURE PROBE, PARTICULARLY FOR THERMOPLASTIC MIX EXTRUSION MACHINES
A temperature probe, particularly for thermoplastic mix extrusion machines, which comprises at least one casing, which is adapted to be inserted in an extrusion cylinder substantially at right angles to the extrusion direction with one end thereof facing into the internal cavity of the extrusion cylinder so that it is in direct contact with the extrusion material contained in the internal cavity, and at least one thermocouple, which is accommodated in the casing and is adapted to detect the temperature of the extrusion material by thermal conduction through the casing, the temperature probe comprising thermally insulating elements which are interposed at least partially between the casing and the extrusion cylinder so as to reduce the thermal influence of the extrusion cylinder on the measurement made by the thermocouple.
