Methods and system for mixing and dispensing viscous materials for the creation of additive structures
Various methods and systems are provided for mixing and dispensing viscous materials for the creation of additive structures. As one example, during a mixing and dispensing operation with a mixing and dispensing head of a multi-dimensional printing apparatus, linear movement of a mixing rod positioned within a mixing chamber of the mixing and dispensing head, at least along a central axis of the mixing chamber, is adjusted based on an operating condition of the printing apparatus and dispensing of mixed liquids from the mixing and dispensing head is stopped by stopping one or more pumps fluidly coupled to the mixing chamber and linearly moving the mixing rod upward and away from a dispensing nozzle of the mixing and dispensing head.
Extrusion device
In an embodiment, the present invention provides an extrusion device for producing a profile from plasticizable material, including at least one extruder head, in which the plasticized material can be supplied to a gap which is delimited by at least one roller and at least one bar that bears against a bearing surface in a predefined position via a fixing element in an operating position of the extrusion device. The fixing element includes a flat pressure-transmitting element which, in the operating position, can be placed against a pressure surface of the bar that is opposite the bearing surface, the pressure-transmitting element including a double-armed lever, which is pivotable about at least one axis, in order to compensate for a possible deviation from the predefined parallel orientation of the pressure-transmitting element with respect to the pressure surface of the bar.
Nozzle and a tundish arrangement for the granulation of molten material
A nozzle, a tundish arrangement used for the production of granulated material, and a method and apparatus for the production of a granulated material with an improved size distribution are provided. The grain size and grain size distribution is controlled by a nozzle having a specific design. The nozzle comprises an upper inlet opening, sidewalls forming a channel, a bottom and at least one outlet opening or at least one row of outlet openings at the lower end of the channel. The outlet opening(s) in the channel have a size of at least 5 mm in the smallest dimension. A cross sectional area of the channel at the inlet A.sub.C is at least 3 times bigger than the total area of the outlet openings A.sub.T.
Nozzle for extruding a preform tube
An extrusion nozzle for making tubular preforms has a mandrel extending along a vertical axis, an annular and stationary nozzle body spacedly radially surrounding the mandrel, and a holding ring having an upper end axially slidable in the nozzle body, braced axially downwardly against the nozzle body, and having a lower end spaced radially inward from shiftable limitedly radially relative to the nozzle body. A nozzle ring has an upper end axially slidable in the holding ring, is braced axially downwardly against the nozzle body, and has a radially deflectable lower end forming an annular extrusion gap with the mandrel. A first positioner engages the lower end of nozzle ring and is operable to radially deflect this lower end. A second positioner engages radially with the lower end of the holding ring or with the nozzle ring for radially deflecting same.
Liquefier tube for an additive manufacturing system
A liquefier tube for an additive manufacturing system, including a body provided with a feed channel including a feeding portion having a first diameter, an outlet portion having a second diameter, the first diameter being larger than the second diameter, and a transitional portion interconnecting the feeding portion and the outlet portion. The transitional portion has a decreasing third diameter from the first diameter to the second diameter, and an inner surface of the transitional portion is provided with a plurality of ribs. Methods of manufacturing the liquefier tube.
Nozzle for manufacturing flavor capsule of tobacco
A method for manufacturing a flavor capsule of tobacco according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise: a membrane manufacturing step for manufacturing a membrane of a flavor capsule by a membrane manufacturing part that manufactures a membrane; a capsule manufacturing step for manufacturing the flavor capsule using an apparatus for manufacturing a capsule with the membrane manufactured during the membrane manufacturing step and a flavored liquid to be held in the membrane; and a hardening step for hardening the flavor capsule.
Die Plate For Hot Die Face Granulation of Melts and Method for the Production Thereof
A hot die face granulation of melt-type materials, such as polymer melts, which pass through the melt channels of a die plate and are divided into granulate while still hot on the outlet surface. The die plate includes a die plate body having melt channels, which pass through the die plate body and feed onto an outlet surface distributed in ring-shaped formations, on which outlet surface the exiting melt strands are divided by a rotating blade, a granulation head comprising a die plate of this type, as well as an underwater or water ring granulator comprising a granulation head of this type. The invention also relates to a method for producing a die plate of this type.
EXTRUSION EQUIPMENT COMPRISING AN IMPROVED EXTRUSION HEAD
An installation for producing a profiled band based on several mixtures of elastomers of a different composition by means of coextrusion. The installation includes at least two extruders for supplying a mixture of elastomers to an extrusion head. The extrusion head comprises an assembly of at least two plates which are arranged side by side. Each plate having at least one cavity which enables the mixture from an extruder to be chaneled towards an outlet hole. The plates are arranged substantially transversely relative to the output direction of the mixture flows of the extruders in order to produce a discharge at approximately 90 of the mixture flow at the outlet of the screw of each extruder.
EXTRUSION FACILITY COMPRISING AN IMPROVED EXTRUSION HEAD
The facility for manufacturing a profile strip made from several elastomer mixtures with different compositions by coextrusion includes at least two extruders which feed elastomer mixtures to an extrusion head. The extruders discharge directly into the extrusion head, which is interchangeable and groups together all of the dimensional tooling.
Variable Land Extrusion Assembly
An extrusion assembly may include an extrusion die and an extrusion tip at least partially positioned within the die. The extrusion tip may include a base portion having a tapered end and an opening positioned approximately at an apex of the tapered end. An insert may be adjustably positioned within the base portion and configured to extend through the opening to form a land. A length of the land may be variable as the position of the insert within the base portion is adjusted. Additionally, a length of an end portion of the extrusion die may be adjusted.
