A rapid shaping and aseptically filling device has an extrusion mold head, two mold mechanisms, and at least one filling needle. The extrusion mold head has an annular outlet, a needle passing through hole, and a shaping area defined below the annular outlet. The annular outlet forms a plastic blank. The two mold mechanisms are respectively located in two sides of the shaping area. Each of the two mold mechanisms is annular and has multiple molds. The molds are capable of moving circularly and sequentially passing the shaping area to engage with each other and tightly clamp the plastic blank. The at least one filling needle is mounted in the needle passing through hole and is located in a center of the plastic blank. A bottom end of the at least one filling needle is located above top two of the molds which engage with each other.

An inspection system and method for scanning and recording defects in the surface of the smooth inner wall of dual wall corrugated plastic pipe during manufacture utilizing automated laser technology, in order to minimize potential disruptions in the manufacturing extrusion process and alleviate concerns as to improper formation of the inner wall. The inspection system includes conical laser pattern generator that passes through the dual wall corrugated pipe during the manufacturing process to complete 360 degree scan coverage of the surface of the inner smooth wall of the pipe. The inspection system further includes a set of cameras properly aligned to record comprehensive three dimensional coverage of the scanned image of the inner wall of the dual wall corrugated pipe. This inspection system and method has particular benefits in the manufacture of coilable dual wall corrugated plastic pipe, where the material make-up of the polymer melt used for the inner wall has been altered.

An electric wire protective tube is configured such that a straight tube section in a shape of a straight tube and a bendable tube section that is bendable are provided along a longitudinal direction, and is configured to have a shape of a tube that allows an electric wire to be arranged therein. The electric wire protective tube has a tubular inner shield portion made of an electrically conductive material and forming an inner surface of the tube, and an exterior portion made of resin and forming an outer surface of the tube. The inner shield portion is provided such that it is firmly attached to an inner surface of the exterior portion in the straight tube section, and such that it is separable from an inner surface of the exterior portion in the bendable tube section.

Coilable dual wall corrugated pipe and related method

High flow capacity corrugated coilable dual wall plastic pipe having improved longitudinal flexibility and a bend radius sufficient to permit coiling and plowing of such pipe into the ground using automated installation equipment. The coilable dual wall pipe has an outer corrugated wall formed of a thermoplastic material such as high density polyethylene, and an inner smooth wall formed of a different more flexible and resilient thermo-bondable material that has an enhanced strain capacity and lower modulus of elasticity. The inner wall material also has enhanced mechanical properties which generally improve processing and help prevent excessive drag and tearing of the liner material during the manufacturing process. Suitable material blends for the inner wall incorporating a thermoplastic elastomer additive in combination with a thermoplastic material have proven suitable in providing the required longitudinal flexibility and pipe bend radius to permit the desired pipe coiling and plow installation without failure.

Plastic Corrugated Tube for Surrounding Pipes and Method for Producing Such a Corrugated Tube
20170141553 · 2017-05-18 ·

A plastic corrugated tube for surrounding pipes, having corrugations distributed over its length and a longitudinal slit running along a lateral longitudinal line is provided. The corrugated tube can be converted into an open position by opening the longitudinal slit and into a closed position in which edge regions of the corrugated tube overlap, wherein the corrugated tube is elastically prestressed toward its dosed position. The corrugations on the edge region of the corrugated tube, which in the closed position lies radially below the other edge region of the corrugated tube, are offset radially inwards within a predefined circumferential region with respect to the corrugations outside this circumferential region and are designed such that, in the closed position, they are in engagement with the radial underside of the corrugations of the other edge region, which corrugations engage over them such that they are mutually displaceable in the circumferential direction.

Injection head for an apparatus for the production of a twin-wall pipe

An injection head for an apparatus for the production of twin-wall pipes has an external melt channel leading to an external nozzle and an internal melt channel leading to an internal nozzle. From the internal melt channel, a conically expanding internal nozzle channel leads to an internal nozzle outlet of the internal nozzle. In the region of the internal nozzle channel, an internal nozzle adjustment device is arranged by means of which the gap cross-section of the internal nozzle channel is displaceable and adjustable up to the internal nozzle outlet by radial displacement.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING THERMAL EXPANSION ISSUES IN A CORRUGATOR

Pipe corrugators having opposed series of pushed mold blocks forming a moving mold tunnel are subject to significant thermal expansion and are designed with a thermal expansion gap. The present invention provides a method and apparatus for measuring changes in this expansion gap and preferably recognizing potential thermal issues before serious problems occur. A sensor is provided adjacent a mold block drive that preferably detects a time duration between sensing a trailing portion of a lead mold block and a leading edge of a following mold block separated from the lead mold block by the thermal expansion gap. This time duration in combination with a speed of the pushed mold blocks is used to calculate the size of the thermal expansion gap.

Medical tubes and methods of manufacture

This invention relates to a medical tube comprises an elongate conduit having a first opening, a second opening, a longitudinal axis, a lumen extending between the first opening and the second opening along the longitudinal axis, and a corrugated wall, formed from an extruded material, extending between the first opening and the second opening and surrounding the lumen. The wall is stiffer in a first length of the conduit adjacent the first opening than in a second length of the conduit adjacent the second opening. The variable stiffness of the tube wall can improve the thermal profile of the tube as well as improve drain-back of condensation into a humidifier providing humidified gas to the tube.
