METHODS FOR DISPENSING AND FORMING 3A MOLECULAR SIEVE HOT MELT ENTRAINED POLYMERS ONTO SUBSTRATES
Disclosed are methods for forming and adhering an entrained polymer structure to a substrate. The methods include providing a substrate configured to receive application of a molten entrained polymer. A 3 A molecular sieve entrained polymer in molten form is applied in a predetermined shape, to a surface of the substrate, to form a solidified entrained polymer structure on the substrate. The entrained polymer includes a monolithic material formed of at least a base polymer and 3 A molecular sieve. The surface of the substrate is compatible with the molten entrained polymer so as to thermally bond with it. In this way, the entrained polymer bonds to the substrate and solidifies upon sufficient cooling of the entrained polymer.
Cutting chamber housing for an underwater pelletizer
A cutting chamber housing for an underwater pelletizer having an inlet for cooling fluid and an outlet for cooling fluid with pellets. The cutting chamber housing encloses a cutting device having a rotary drive and a cutting head with rotating cutting knives. An extrusion head having a perforated plate projects into the cutting chamber housing. The cutting chamber housing has a stationary upper housing half and a movable lower housing half along a separation plane arranged at an oblique angle so that the cutting chamber housing can be opened at least downwards along the separation plane. Features such as slide rails, swivel joints, or rotary joints can be added to enable easy opening of the cutting chamber housing.

Polyamide resin composition for extrusion molded products exposed to high-pressure hydrogen, and extrusion molded product
A polyamide resin composition for an extrusion-molded article exposed to high-pressure hydrogen gas contains: 70 to 99 parts by weight of a polyamide 6 resin (A); 1 to 30 parts by weight of an impact modifier (B); and 0.005 to 1 parts by weight of a metal halide (C) with respect to a total of 100 parts by weight of the polyamide 6 resin (A) and the impact modifier (B). The polyamide resin composition has a melt tension of 20 mN or more when measured at 260° C. and a take-up speed at strand break of 30 m/min or more when measured at 260° C.
Devices, Systems, and Processes for Processing Polymers
Embodiments of an invention disclosed herein relate to devices, processes, and systems for processing polymers.
PELLETIZING KNIFE WITH REMOVABLE BLADE
A blade (6) for underwater granulation of an extruded polymer, this blade comprising a plate (60) bounded by a contour including a cutting edge contour (61) having a first end (62) and a second end (63), and an outer contour (64) linking the first end (62) and the second end (63) of the cutting edge contour (61),
characterized in that the outer contour (64) comprises at least a first bearing portion (65) and a second bearing portion (66), the first bearing portion (65) and the second bearing portion (66) diverging while extending away from the cutting edge contour (61) and being configured to be received in a dovetail housing (13).
High-Performance Coated Sealants
Disclosed is a multilayered film that includes a core layer that includes one or more polymers, wherein the core has a first side and a second side and is optionally oriented. Further, the multilayered film includes a sealing layer comprising a primer and a sealing coating, wherein the primer has a primer coating weight from 0.05 to 0.5 g/m.sup.2 and is located between the first side of the core and a first side of the sealing coating, wherein the sealing coating has a sealing coating weight from 0.5 to 20.0 g/m.sup.2, wherein the multilayered film has a seal strength of at least 1 kg/in at 120° C. In various embodiments, the films showed outstanding seal strength, hot tack for both clear and white films over a broad temperature range, seal integrity under the Skye test, low blocking, and other desirable performance metrics.
SPINNERET ASSEMBLY FOR SPINNING POLYMERIC FIBERS
A spinneret assembly for spinning polymeric fibers, including: (a) a cap provided with an inlet port and a flared lower surface that flares outwardly from the inlet port in the direction of flow; (b) a spinneret having numerous spinning flow channels through its thickness; (c) a filter freely resting on the spinneret; and (d) a flow guide with a tapered geometry mounted in a cavity defined by the cap and the spinneret. The flow guide has an apex facing the inlet port, a base facing the filter, and one or more side surfaces tapering up to the apex. A diverging flow passage is defined by the tapering side surface(s) of the flow guide and the cap's flared lower surface. The base of the flow guide is spaced apart from an upper surface of the spinneret, creating a space that is in fluid communication with the divergent flow passage.
Female loop portion having film and filaments anchored by heat-shrinking
