A device and method for designing lightweight, strong, material efficient, extruded and pultruded profiles, profile segments and surfaces produced in profile production with rotating dies creating superior resistance to compression, bending and buckling, higher energy absorption and right strength in the right place, by: varying the thickness along and across the direction of extrusion, making reinforcing patterns varying the profile thickness, and in some cases varying angles and patterns which increases the profile segments/surface resistance against compression, bending and buckling relative to the amount of material used and resulting in the manufacturing of optimized beams and surfaces that have superior properties in terms of strength/weight, stiffness/weight ratio, mechanical energy absorption/weight unit, deformation and natural frequency, thermal transfer capacity, the breaking of the laminar flow, increased/optimized surface for chemical and/or electrochemical reaction etc.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane fiber and a method for producing the same. A thermoplastic polyurethane material is firstly provided and subjected to a molten extruding process to form a fiber material. Next, an extension process is performed to the fiber material to obtain the thermoplastic polyurethane fiber of the present invention. The thermoplastic polyurethane fiber has a lower thermal shrinking property, thereby meeting requirements of the application.
THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE FIBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane fiber and a method for producing the same. A thermoplastic polyurethane material is firstly provided and subjected to a molten extruding process to form a fiber material. Next, an extension process is performed to the fiber material to obtain the thermoplastic polyurethane fiber of the present invention. The thermoplastic polyurethane fiber has a lower thermal shrinking property, thereby meeting requirements of the application.
METHOD FOR CO-EXTRUDING COMPLEX RUBBER PROFILE FOR MANUFACTURING A TIRE
A method is provided for the co-extrusion of a complex rubber profiled element. The method makes it possible to co-extrude a sublayer in a first material and a tread in a second material with at least one insert in a third material inserted in a discontinuity in the sublayer and in the tread. The method includes: a) discontinuous extrusion of the first material, b) discontinuous first profiling of the first material, c) discontinuous extrusion of the second material onto the first material, d) discontinuous profiling of the first and second materials and extrusion of the third material into each discontinuity, and e) final profiling of the first, second and third materials with a longitudinal groove in the profiled element next to each insert of the third material.
METHOD FOR CO-EXTRUDING COMPLEX RUBBER PROFILE FOR MANUFACTURING A TIRE
A method is provided for the co-extrusion of a complex rubber profiled element. The method makes it possible to co-extrude a sublayer in a first material and a tread in a second material with at least one insert in a third material inserted in a discontinuity in the sublayer and in the tread. The method includes: a) discontinuous extrusion of the first material, b) discontinuous first profiling of the first material, c) discontinuous extrusion of the second material onto the first material, d) discontinuous profiling of the first and second materials and extrusion of the third material into each discontinuity, and e) final profiling of the first, second and third materials with a longitudinal groove in the profiled element next to each insert of the third material.
Dual stage flex lip for an extrusion die
A die includes an upper body member and an adjustment system. The upper body member has a upper surface, a gap surface, a gap edge positioned between the upper surface and the gap surface, and a gap flange. The adjustment system includes an adjustment body that defines a plurality of channels, and a plurality of adjusters. Each of the plurality of adjusters is slideably positioned within a respective one of the plurality of channels. Each of the plurality of adjusters is configured to couple to the gap flange of the upper body member. When the plurality of adjusters are coupled to the gap flange movement of the plurality of adjusters causes a change in a position of the gap edge.
Dual stage flex lip for an extrusion die
A die includes an upper body member and an adjustment system. The upper body member has a upper surface, a gap surface, a gap edge positioned between the upper surface and the gap surface, and a gap flange. The adjustment system includes an adjustment body that defines a plurality of channels, and a plurality of adjusters. Each of the plurality of adjusters is slideably positioned within a respective one of the plurality of channels. Each of the plurality of adjusters is configured to couple to the gap flange of the upper body member. When the plurality of adjusters are coupled to the gap flange movement of the plurality of adjusters causes a change in a position of the gap edge.
SCREW-TYPE EXTRUDER
A screw extruder for extruding a kneaded material, includes: a pair of screws; a casing that houses the pair of screws and includes a supply port; and a roller-die. Each of the screws includes a shaft portion, and a spiral flight portion. The flight portion is formed into a shape in which a radial distance between the surface of the shaft portion and a tip of the flight portion decreases gradually toward a downstream end in an extrusion direction of a kneaded material. The casing has a tapered shape. Within a range between a downstream end of the supply port and a downstream end of the flight portion, a clearance between a top portion of the flight portion and an inner wall surface of the casing at the downstream end of the supply port is larger than a clearance at any other part.
Apparatus for producing films stretched in-line
The invention relates to an apparatus for producing tubular films stretched in-line by blow molding with an extruder, a film blowing line, a lay-flat unit, an oscillating haul-off unit, and a stretching line for monoaxially stretching the film laid flat in machine direction. According to the invention, the stretching line is arranged above the extruder between the lay-flat unit and the oscillating haul-off unit.
