Blown film installation, method for producing a blown film strip and film produced therewith
In blown film installations, it is known to provide longitudinal stretching of the produced double layer film strip downstream of the draw-off, more precisely downstream of the reversing unit and upstream of the winder. It is also known to stretch the down-drawn film, wherein the film must then be preheated owing to the long cooling path from the draw-off. According to a first feature, the present invention specifies warming the film above the draw-off and then treating it mechanically. The film can thereby be brought with only little energy from a first level of warmth to a temperature level at which it can easily be worked. According to a second feature, the invention specifies providing a tractive force breakdown brake.

PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING FILLER TUBE AND FILLER TUBE
A filler tube including a cylindrical body and flange is manufactured using a cylindrical workpiece. A material forms an outermost layer in the cylindrical body and flange of the cylindrical workpiece. Dividable molds move at a first speed upon adhering the cylindrical workpiece onto the site for forming the cylindrical body, thereby giving the cylindrical body a predetermined diametrical thickness; and then move at a second speed being slower than the first speed upon adhering the cylindrical workpiece onto the other site for forming the flange, thereby filling up the flange with the material and other materials for forming the flange over a diametrical range to be welded onto the fuel tank while making the diametrical thickness of the flange greater than that of the cylindrical body.

Techniques, systems, and devices are described for implementing a portable and affordable 3D printer. One portable 3D printer includes a material supply system to supply printing material to a print engine. The print engine includes an extrusion system that comprises a heating block, which includes a top portion coupled to the material supply system to receive the printing material, a heating body to heat up the printing material, and a heat break portion positioned between the top portion and the heating body. The printer further includes a movement system to allow a horizontal movement of the extruder carriage, a build platform positioned below the movement system to receive the printing material from the extrusion system, and a printer body positioned to enclose the extrusion system, the movement system, and the build platform.

The present invention is related to a process for bordering a corrugated plastic panel and to a panel obtained through that process. In particular, the invention is related to a process for making a corrugated plastic panel comprising a bordering made in-line or out-line in order to close the openings outwards. The invention is also related to an apparatus for bordering according to that process. The panel is sealed and shock resistant thanks to the laying of thermoplastic elastomeric material.
FIBER-REINFORCEMENT OF BLOWING-AGENT CONTAINING FOAM MATERIALS
The present invention relates to a process for producing a molding made from blowing agent-containing foam comprising at least one fiber (F), wherein the at least one fiber (F) is partially introduced into the blowing agent-containing foam. The two ends of the respective fiber (F) that are not surrounded by the blowing agent-containing foam thus project from one side of the corresponding molding. The present invention also provides the molding as such. The present invention further provides a panel comprising at least one such molding, produced by the process according to the invention, and at least one further layer (S1). This invention relates to a polymeric pipe, and more particularly a polymeric pipe where the pipe comprises a crosslinked polyolefin formed from extruded polyolefin comprising a photoinitiator and a reactive extrusion species. More particularly, this invention relates to the manufacturing of plastic pipes and tubing by utilizing co-rotating twin screw extrusion combined with photo-induced crosslinking, of thermoplastic polymers such as polyethylene, to produce PEX pipes and tubing.
Roof ditch molding process incorporating conformed shaping features in a molding fixture
An assembly for reshaping an elongated plasticized article includes a heated fixture upon which the elongated article is supported in adhering fashion to a contoured upper surface. Following heating, the article is transferred to a cooling fixture exhibiting a further contoured upper surface and, upon subsequent cooling, the article exhibits a final multi-dimensional extending profile matching the contoured upper surface of the cooling fixture. A further variation of the assembly includes an elongated and bowed track supporting a fixed jig at an end thereof. A slidable jig is traversable along the track and actuated by a ram in directions towards and away from the first jig. Upon a first length extending portion of the article being pre-secured to the slidable jig, a first forward feed direction of the article results in an end extending portion communicating within a multi-dimensional cavity establishing a contoured surface withing the fixed jig, subsequent rearward displacement of the slidable jig causes forcible reshaping of the elongated article as it is stretched and drawn against the contoured surface of the fixed jig.
