MODIFIED POLYTETRAFLUOROETHYLENE FINE POWDER AND METHOD FOR ITS PRODUCTION, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING TUBE OR HOSE
To provide a modified polytetrafluoroethylene which is excellent in the moldability by paste extrusion and the mechanical property of the molded article.
A modified polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder which is a fine powder of a non-melt-moldable modified polytetrafluoroethylene, characterized in that the modified polytetrafluoroethylene comprises units derived from tetrafluoroethylene, units derived from a perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether represented by CF.sub.2CFOC.sub.nF.sub.2n+1 (wherein n is an integer of from 1 to 6), and units derived from a perfluoroalkylethylene represented by CH.sub.2CHC.sub.mF.sub.2m+1 (wherein m is an integer of from 3 to 6), and that the content of the units derived from the perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether is from 0.1 to 0.25 mass % and the content of the units derived from a perfluoroalkylethylene is from 0.001 to 0.1 mass %, based on all monomer units in the modified polytetrafluoroethylene.
COTTONSEED OIL BASED LIQUID COLOR COMPOSITION AND PLASTICS COLORING METHOD USING THE SAME
A method of fabricating plastic products having a preselected color, comprising preparing a dispersion of pigment of the preselected color in cottonseed oil; supplying a preselected plastic resin for the product to be fabricated to a process machine having a rotating screw; furnishing the dispersion to the process machine at a position adjacent to threaded portion of the rotating screw; and blending the dispersion and the resin by rotating the screw.
COTTONSEED OIL BASED ADDITIVE COMPOSITIONS FOR PLASTICS MOLDING AND EXTRUSION
A method of fabricating plastic products having a preselected characteristic, comprising preparing a dispersion of at least one additive contributes the preselected characteristic in cottonseed oil; supplying a preselected plastic resin for the product to be fabricated to a process machine having a rotating screw; furnishing the dispersion to the process machine at a position adjacent to threaded portion of the rotating screw; and blending the dispersion and the resin by rotating the screw.
High-strength multi-component suture
A method for making an expanded, and optionally multi-component and/or colored PTFE monofilament is disclosed. The method includes forming a first paste by mixing a PTFE powder with a hydrocarbon solvent; forming an extrusion preform by pressing the first paste into a form; curing the extrusion preform by exposing the extrusion preform to a first temperature for a first time duration; forming a green monofilament by extruding the first paste through a die; expanding the green monofilament by exposing the green monofilament to a second temperature for a second time duration, the second time duration occurring after the first time duration; stretching the green monofilament substantially along a longitudinal axis of the green monofilament, the stretching the green monofilament occurring after the expanding the green monofilament; and sintering the green monofilament after the stretching the green monofilament. The method may include doing all or some of the expanding, stretching and sintering steps simultaneously.
STRAW AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to the technical field of polymer material manufacturing, and in particular to a biodegradable material and preparation method thereof. The biodegradable material is prepared by using a resin comprising only PHA, and further incorporating suitable fillers and/or auxiliary agents. The biodegradable material of the present invention exhibits excellent performance in that it can swiftly and thoroughly degrade in natural environments, ensuring complete environmental friendliness throughout its life cycle. As a result, it facilitates the reduction of white environmental pollution caused by disposable plastic products and the lowering of petroleum consumption.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF TUBULAR FILMS FOR PROTECTION OF MEDICAL DEVICES
The present invention provides a continuous process comprising, extruding two or more layers of a thermoplastic polyurethane film, welding the two or more layers of film at a first edge in a machine direction and simultaneously slitting the welded film with an angular section of an anvil blade and winding the welded, slitted thermoplastic polyurethane film onto a roller. The resultant thermoplastic polyurethane film in tubular form may find use in medical applications such as coverings on robotic arms used for performing surgery (by proxy).
Method For Producing Hollow Articles In The Blow Molding Process With Reduced Cycle Time
Provided is a method for producing hollow articles in a blow molding process with reduced cycle time and using a nucleation agent to foam a thermoplastic plastic with gas bubbles prior to blow forming. A nucleation agent is provided, which has substances that emit gas bubbles when a decomposition temperature is exceeded. When a mixture of thermoplastic plastic and the nucleation agent are heated, the decomposition temperature is exceeded. A supercritical fluid state of the gas bubbles emitted from the substances is maintained by having supercritical pressure values elevated relative to ambient pressure while continuously heating the mixture. Blow molding of a hollow article is carried out in a blow molding apparatus at the supercritical pressure values of the thermoplastic plastic pre-foamed with homogeneously distributed gas bubbles, at a softening or melting temperature of the thermoplastic plastic below a plastic-specific softening or melting temperature of the thermoplastic plastic.
