A hook element (14) is arranged on the transport wheel (12) in the region of each receiving recess (18), said hook element being mounted on the transport wheel (12) in a pivotal manner between an open position and a closed position, and in the closed position, the hook element (14) secures a preform (20) to be transported in the respective receiving recess (18) from falling out of the receiving recess (18).
Method for monitoring and controlling an injection molding process using a strain gauge
Methods of monitoring and controlling a molding process using a sensed change in strain provided by a strain gauge are provided. A target strain profile is created for a molding process of a molding apparatus. An upper and lower deviation limit from the target strain profile for the molding process is provided. If a sensed change in strain exceeds a deviation limit, an alarm is activated.

Disclosed is a method for treating containers, wherein the containers are transported along a predetermined transport path by a transport device and are treated in a predetermined manner by a first treatment device, wherein predetermined working parameters are used for the treatment of the container, wherein individual containers being inspected after their treatment and at least one variable characteristic of a quality of this container being determined, wherein that at least one identification information is generated by an inspected container and/or an inspection operation can be uniquely identified.
Detecting lost plastic preforms in the heating module by multiple heating lamp failure detection
Disclosed is an apparatus for heating plastic preforms, having a transport device which transports the plastic preforms along a predetermined transport path, the transport device having a circulating transport and a plurality of holding devices for holding the plastic preforms, having a plurality of heating devices which are arranged stationarily along the transport path, in such a way that the plastic preforms transported along the transport path are heated by these heating devices, the heating devices each having a plurality of heating lamps, and the apparatus having a detection device which is configured to detect a failure of the heating lamps, wherein the apparatus has a control device which is configured to control the apparatus in dependence on a number of heating lamps detected having failed.
System and method for synchronization of a container forming machine and a container processing machine in a container processing plant
A synchronization system for a container-processing plant, including a container-forming machine configured to form a container, the container-forming machine having a first rotating wheel for rotating the container about a first rotation axis; a container-filling machine operatively coupled to the container-forming machine and configured to fill the container, the container-filling machine having a second rotating wheel for rotating the container about a second rotation axis; and at least one electric motor configured to cause the first rotating wheel and the second rotating wheel to rotate, the synchronization system comprising: a position sensor provided in the container-forming machine and configured to detect a rotating position of the first rotating wheel and to generate a position detection signal; at least one control unit configured to: receive information associated with the position detection signal; synchronize the rotation of the second rotating wheel to the rotation of the first rotating wheel based on the information associated with the position detection signal; and synchronize the rotation of the container-forming machine and container-filling machine from a zero speed up to a full operating speed of the container forming machine at which processing operations are designed to be performed.
METHOD FOR INSPECTING A CONTAINER MADE OF PLASTICS MATERIAL AND MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A CONTAINER
The invention relates to a method for inspecting a container (2) made of plastic material obtained by molding, the method comprising: a step of capturing a thermal image of the container (2) on leaving the mold (31); a step of characterization of the container (2), in which a rule for acceptance or rejection of the quality of the container (2) is applied, as a function of the thermal image of the container (2) on leaving the mold (31),
wherein, prior to the characterization step, the method comprises a step of identification, on the thermal image, of at least critical zone corresponding to a structural part of the container (2),
and wherein the acceptance rule is parameterized to consider a container (2) as acceptable if, for each identified critical zone, the temperature of the container is lower than a predetermined threshold temperature.
Energy efficient blow molder control
Blow molder system and associated method optimizes the performance, energy efficiency and/or operating costs of the blow molder. A blow molder controller executes a system model that relates blow molder input parameter changes to the characteristics of containers generated by the blow molder. Equipped with energy and/or operating cost data for operating the blow molder, the blow molder controller can select a set of blow molder input parameter changes for the blow molder that: drives the containers produced by the blow molder toward desired container characteristics, in an efficient amount of time, and in cost effective manner, considering the energy costs involved in implementing the changes.
