BLOW MOLDED PART INCLUDING COMPRESSION MOLDED ELEMENT
In one example, a method includes positioning a tool in a mold, forming a parison of melted plastic, closing the mold around the parison and tool such that part of the tool is positioned between a portion of the mold and the parison, creating a blow molded structure by inflating the parison so that the melted plastic comes into contact with an interior portion of the mold and into contact with the tool, and after the mold is closed, operating the tool to form an integral compression molded element within the mold, and a parting line formed by the mold in the blow molded structure forms no part of the integral compression molded element.
Method of handling a plastic container having a moveable base
Method for processing hot-filled plastic containers are provided. In some embodiments, the method may include hot-filling a plastic container, sealing the container, and conveying the sealed container, each with an inner annular wall and a push-up portion in a first position. In some embodiments, the method may further include creating a vacuum pressure in the hot-filled and sealed container and repositioning the push-up portion from the first position to a second position under a mechanical force.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR DOUBLE WALLED CONTAINER
A manufacturing method of double walled container comprises preparing a parison having a rigid outer layer and a flexible inner layer, enclosing the parison within a mold including split mold halves, thereby forming a molded parison including a pre-blow cylindrical section, a pre-blow conical bottom section, a pre-blow bottom projection, and a lower parison excessive burr, blowing gas into an inside of the molded parison, thereby forming a blown parison including a cylindrical section and a bottom section, the bottom section including a bottom projection, and removing the lower parison excessive burr from the blown parison, wherein the flexible inner layer is fixed to the rigid outer layer in the bottom projection.
Blow mold
A blow mold includes: a pair of movable molds for forming engagement grooves of a container body; and advancing/retreating mechanism units for advancing and retreating the movable molds between a standby position and a molding position. The advancing/retreating mechanism units are equipped with drive shafts to which the movable molds are fixed and which are rotatably supported with respect to a cavity mold; actuator devices which each have a linear-motion shaft capable of advancing and retreating in a direction orthogonal to the drive shaft and which are each swingably provided with respect to the cavity mold; and link members each having an end side fixed to the drive shaft outside the cavity mold and an opposite end side coupled to the linear-motion shaft.
Double-layered container and method for production of the same
Provided is a method for producing a double-layered container which can be easily produced using molding equipment that is not much different from conventionally used equipment and which comprises: a rigid outer layer container part; and a flexible inner layer container part of which the capacity can be changed inside the rigid outer layer container part, wherein, when a pair of partial molds are brought close to each other in order to be combined to form a split mold, at least parts of the joining faces of the pair of partial molds pinch a small outer diameter portion of a parison so as to form a gap burr, and, when a cap is screwed on, a gap for introducing external air in the interlayer of the double-layered container is formed at the small outer diameter portion from which the gap burr has been removed.
MOLDED PLASTIC STRUCTURES
A structure, such as a tabletop, may be constructed from blow-molded plastic. The tabletop may include an upper surface, a lower surface, and a hollow interior portion disposed between the upper surface and the lower surface. A lip may extend downwardly relative to the lower surface of the tabletop, and the lip including an outer surface and an inner surface. One or more supports may be disposed in the inner surface of the lip, and one or more joints may be disposed in the inner surface of the lip. A joint may be disposed between adjacent supports, and a distal portion of the lip may include a compression edge. A lower portion of the supports may contact the compression edge, and/or a lower portion of the joints may contact the compression edge.
STRETCH-BLOWN PLASTIC CONTAINER WITH A HANDLE REGION MADE INTEGRAL AND METHOD OF PRODUCTION FOR THE PLASTIC CONTAINER
A stretch-blown plastic container, includes a container body which encloses a filling volume with a container bottom; a container neck which adjoins an opposite end of the container body, having a container opening and an integrated handle region, the handle region being hollow and joined to the filling volume which is enclosed by the container body; and between the handle region and the container body, a through opening recessed and bordered over its entire periphery by wall parts of the container body and of the handle region which have been welded to one another.
MOLD FOR CONTAINER, COMPRISING A MOLD BASE PROVIDED WITH A CENTRAL WELL, AND A STRETCHING ROD WITH A HEMISPHERICAL END
The invention relates to a mold for a container that includes a mold base. The mold base includes a peripheral face, a central dome, and a central well formed in the dome and extending along a frustoconical sidewall from a top edge of the dome having a top diameter, to a bottom having a bottom diameter smaller than the top diameter. The mold also includes a stretching rod that ends with a hemispherical distal end having a radius, the value of which is between that of the bottom radius and that of the top radius of the central well. When the rod is in the bottom position, it is separated from the sidewall of the central well by a distance smaller than the distance that separates it from the bottom of the well.
MOLD BASE PROVIDED WITH A CENTRAL MOVABLE INSERT
A method for producing a container provided with a base, in a mold that includes a base with a base block with a raised molding face and a central opening, and an insert mounted in the central opening. The insert has an end face with the imprint of a central area of the base of the container, movable between: a retracted position with the end face extending in the extension of the molding face, thus completing therewith the imprint of the base of the container; a protruding position with the insert protruding relative to the central opening. A step of boxing the central area of the base of the container includes moving the insert to the protruding position to exert pressure against the central area of the base and increase the clearance of the central area relative to the clearance at the end of the blowing.
Molding unit equipped with a movable boxing insert ventilated by a fluid circuit tapped from the boxing fluid circuit
A Molding unit for the forming of a container includes: a mold provided with a side wall defining a cavity bearing the impression of a portion of the container; an insert having a frontal surface bearing the impression of a local portion of the container, movable between a retracted position and a deployed position, with this insert being penetrated by ducts; a pierced piston to which the insert is attached and which ensures the mobility of the latter between its retracted position and its deployed position; and at least one pierced screw by which the insert is attached to the piston.
