Mower unit

Provided are blades 22R, 22C, 22L rotatably driven about rotational axes XL, XC, XR to be able to cut grass on the ground surface, a housing covering the blades 22R, 22C, 22L and having a lower face thereof opened, a water feeding section provided outside the housing, a water discharging section 54 provided inside the housing for discharging cleaning water fed to the water feeding section, and a water feeding pipe 55 connected to/between the water feeding section and the water discharging section 54. The water discharging section 54 discharges water toward an inner wall face of the housing.

Lawn mower deck cleaning apparatus and method
11937536 · 2024-03-26 ·

A lawn mower deck cleaning apparatus and method are disclosed. The cleaning apparatus has a gravity-fed dispenser assembly that delivers ice discretely through an aperture in the lawn mower deck. The ice impacts the lawn mower blade and a plurality of slingers, which pulverize the ice, causing it to ricochet against the interior surfaces of the lawn mower deck, thereby removing debris.

Apparatus for treating a lawn surface
10492362 · 2019-12-03 · ·

An apparatus for surface treatment and collection of undesirable debris from lawns. During a cutting operation, rotating blades ripe surface material from soil up onto a filtering screen and along this further to a collecting box so that only stones and debris of e.g. at least 1 cm enter the box whereas smaller particles/soil escape through the filter screen and are thereby returned to the lawn surface, which significantly increases the nutrient level in the upper layers of the lawn.

IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO LAWNMOWERS AND IN PARTICULAR ROBOTIC LAWNMOWERS

Aspects of a lawnmower and in particular a robotic lawnmower are disclosed herein. Specifically, the lawnmower may include a passive cleaning assembly for removing detritus from the housing, the passive cleaning assembly being moveably mounted on said housing. Movement of the lawnmower with respect to the ground may cause a cleaning portion of the passive cleaning assembly to move with respect to the housing and thereby remove detritus from the housing. In one aspect, the lawnmower may be configured such that, during use, the cleaning assembly is moved with respect to the housing thereby causing a scraping edge of a cleaning portion of the cleaning assembly to move with respect to the housing and thereby scrape detritus off the housing. In another aspect the lawnmower may comprise a sliding member having a ground-engaging surface that is positioned so as to face towards and to slide over the ground during such movement of the lawnmower over the lawn. In another aspect the lawnmower may comprise a ground contact footprint being defined by a polygon bounding a plurality of ground contact regions. In addition, at least part of one or more of the cutting areas swept out by the grass cutting blades may be positioned beyond the perimeter of the ground contact footprint, at the front of the lawnmower with respect to its forwards direction of movement.

AUTONOMOUS MOWER
20190141886 · 2019-05-16 ·

An autonomous mower including a housing; a mowing module, a traveling module, an information collection device, an energy module, a control module and the control module includes an identification unit, and an alarm module. The autonomous mower has a security patrol working mode in which the identification unit analyzes and judges whether an abnormal object exists in the working area according to the information collected by the information collection device; if the abnormal object exists, the control module controls the alarm module to send an alarm signal to the outside. Therefore, the autonomous mower can achieve a security patrol function in addition to having a function of trimming the lawn. The autonomous mower has multiple uses, so as to save the cost.

Mower deck cleaning system and method
10285327 · 2019-05-14 ·

A lawn mower deck cleaning system and method is provided for cleaning mower decks and other interior surfaces that become layered with debris over time. The cleaning system comprises an elongated conduit affixed to the mower deck that provides a solid material from a hopper directly into the mower deck interior. The upper end of the conduit includes a hopper with upstanding sidewalls and an interior configured to support solid ice material therein. The lower end of the conduit terminates at a junction along the mower deck surface, whereby solid ice moves through the conduit, through the junction and into the mower deck interior to be jettisoned against the walls of the mower deck and ultimately pulverized by the spinning mower blade.
