A flow head and a method for use with a blow molding apparatus. The flow head includes a flow head housing with a material flow cavity. The flow head housing includes a movable die pin mechanism which is moveable between an open position and a closed position. A main melt pipe is connected to the material flow cavity. The main melt pipe is maintained at a first temperature. A shot chamber mechanism is connected to the material flow cavity. The shot chamber mechanism is maintained at a second temperature, which is lower than the first temperature. Thermoplastic material is formed into a parison for the blow molding apparatus. As the movable die pin mechanism is positioned in the closed position, the thermoplastic material is moved to the shot chamber to prevent degradation of the thermoplastic material.

At least one valve device has at least one valve piston which is movable with respect to a valve housing between two valve positions, and a check piston which is movable between at least two positions is arranged on this valve piston.
Process for making a bottle of a polymeric material
A process for making a bottle of a polymeric material suitable for being used with carbonated drinks, comprising the steps of: positioning a preform in a mould; and blowing the preform. The process is characterized in that a total draw ratio greater than 16 is used.
APPARATUS FOR TRANSFORMING PLASTIC PREFORMS INTO PLASTIC CONTAINERS HAVING A PROPORTIONAL VALVE
Provided is an apparatus for transforming plastic preforms into plastic containers having at least one transforming station which has a blow molding device, within which the plastic preforms are able to be transformed into the plastic containers by application with a flowable medium, having an application device which applies the flowable medium to the plastic preforms and having a stretching device which has a rod-like body which is able to be introduced into the plastic preforms, in order to stretch the plastic preforms at least temporarily during their transforming process in the longitudinal direction thereof, wherein the stretching device has a drive device for moving the rod-like body as well as a control device for controlling the drive device and wherein the apparatus has a valve arrangement which controls the application of the plastic preforms with the flowable medium with at least two different pressure levels.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A CONTAINER TREATMENT SYSTEM AND CONTAINER TREATMENT SYSTEM WITH OPTIMIZED PARAMETERS
A method of operating a container treatment system, wherein a plurality of parameters of the container treatment system, which are characteristic for the treatment of containers in the container treatment system, are variable and wherein the parameters are each linked to at least one value characteristic of the containers to be treated, wherein for each parameter a plurality of reference parameter values are stored in a storage device, wherein at least one characteristic value of the containers to be treated is entered at a user interface and, on the basis of this entry and the stored reference parameter values, a combination of parameter values for the parameters is calculated.
Synthetic resin container and method for manufacturing the same
A synthetic resin container that is formed in a bottle shape having a mouth and a trunk and that is provided in the trunk with at least one reduced pressure absorbing panel. The trunk has a density of 1.3695 g/cm.sup.3 or more, and a ratio of a crystal orientation in a transverse direction with respect to a total value of a crystal orientation in a machine direction and the crystal orientation in the transverse direction in the trunk is less than 44%.
Method for operating a handling system for handling containers with recipe creation for the control
A method for operating a system for handling containers, wherein said system for handling containers has a first handling device which handles the containers in a first predetermined manner, and at least one second handling device which handles the containers in a second predetermined manner, and a transport device which transports the containers from the first handling device to the second handling device. A control device controls the handling of the containers by at least one of the two handling devices using at least one first physical parameter which is characteristic of environmental conditions at an operating site of the system and/or using at least one second physical parameter which is characteristic of a physical property of the containers to be handled, wherein at least one of these physical parameters is determined and an operating recipe is determined independently of the system and taking this parameter as a basis, which operating recipe is used by the control device to control at least one handling device.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIQUID-CONTAINING CONTAINER
A liquid container manufacturing method includes: a liquid blow molding step of molding a preform into a liquid container; and a headspace formation step of forming a headspace, by discharging, in a state in which a liquid supply path is closed, a liquid out of the liquid container through a discharge port, the discharge accomplished by drawing-in by a liquid drawing source. In the headspace formation step, a pressurized gas is supplied from a pressurized gas supply source into the liquid container through a gas supply port to thereby assist the discharge, by the drawing-in, of the liquid out of the liquid container through the discharge port, and, when a pressure in a discharge path has increased to a set value, the supply of the pressurized gas by the pressurized gas supply source is stopped.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONTAINERS, BY BOXING THAT CAN BE ADJUSTED DEPENDING ON THE BLOWING CURVE
A method for producing a container from a blank, inside a forming unit having a mold and a movable insert controlled by a variable-flow solenoid valve, a control unit linked to the solenoid valve. The method comprises developing a boxing curve characterizing the successive positions of the insert; determining, based on a reference blowing curve, points of inflection; measuring, on the boxing curve, distances actually travelled by the insert between points in time, some of which correspond to these points of inflection; and comparing the values of the measured distances with nominal values. If there is a difference between a measured value and a nominal value, controlling, by the control unit, a modification in the flow rate setpoint of the solenoid valve for the next production cycle.
