Cup lid
A liquid container includes a brim forming a mouth opening into a product receiving chamber formed in a cup. A lid is coupled to the rim to close the mouth of the cup.
Single-point supportive monocoque ambulation aid
Example ambulation aid apparatus and associated methods of manufacture are disclosed and described herein. An example single-point supportive ambulation aid is formed as an integral part. The integral part of the example ambulation aid is formed to integrate: a body portion formed to support a user; a graspable area integrated with the body portion and providing an area to be gripped by a user; and a foot portion integrated with the body portion and providing a single point of contact with a walking surface to facilitate user movement and support in conjunction with the body portion and graspable area through the integral part.
Mouth Appliance Devices, Systems, and Methods
A tray appliance of the present disclosure has a first dissolvable sheet and a first substance formed within a second dissolvable sheet. The first dissolvable sheet is laid on the second dissolvable sheet and is formed into a first dissolvable negative impression of a person's teeth, gingival tissue, or other soft tissue, such that when first dissolvable negative impression is worn by a person, the first dissolvable negative impression dissolves and releases the first substance into the person's saliva, teeth, gingival tissue, or other soft tissue.
Formed Thermoplastic Article Having Smooth Edges
The disclosure relates to forming shaped thermoplastic articles having smooth peripheries. Many thermoplastic articles have sharp edges formed upon molding or cutting the article from a feedstock sheet. Such sharp edges can damage thin plastic films or flesh which they contact, and smoothing the edges is desirable. Described herein are methods of forming a smooth periphery for such sharp-edged articles by rolling over the sharp edge. The smoothing operation is performed by forming a deflectable flange including a bend region separated from the potentially sharp peripheral edge by a spacer, deflecting a portion of the deflectable flange, and softening at least one bent portion of the deflectable flange to yield a smooth periphery upon cooling.
CASKET AND METHOD FOR APPLYING AN OUTER LAYER WITH A CUSTOMIZABLE ARTWORK DESIGN TO FINISH THE CASKET
A casket comprising a casket underbody and an outer covering applied to the casket underbody to produce a finished casket. The casket underbody, i.e. casket lid and casket body, may be fabricated from lower cost wood, metal or plastic materials. The outer covering comprises a thin film and a base layer applied to the outer surface of the casket underbody. According to an embodiment, the outer covering may be customized or personalized according to the wishes or likes of the beloved deceased, or the family thereof, for example, the outer covering may be personalized with an artwork design for a favourite sport's team, or for a pet.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SPORTS PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT, AND SPORT PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME
Disclosed are a method of manufacturing sport protective equipment and sport protective equipment manufactured by the method. A thin casing is manufactured by a thin sheet material in a vacuum forming process; protrusions are formed apart from one another on a surface of the thin casing; a containing space is formed on an inner side of each protrusion for filling a filler; and a substrate is provided to seal the bottom of the thin casing, so that the filler in each of the containing spaces will not fall out, so as to improve the manufacturing efficiency and the product quality. The sport protective equipment manufactured by this method does not require any sewing manufacture or increase thickness, so that the flexibility of wearing and using is improved, and the thin casing and the filler are provided for absorbing shocks to improve the protective effect.
Thermoformed Article Formed from a Porous Polymeric Sheet
A thermoformed article that is formed from a polymeric sheet having a thickness of from about 0.1 to about 100 millimeters is provided. The polymeric sheet contains a thermoplastic composition that includes a continuous phase that includes a matrix polymer. A microinclusion additive and nanoinclusion additive are dispersed within the continuous phase in the form of discrete domains, and a porous network is defined in the composition that includes a plurality of nanopores having an average cross-sectional dimension of about 800 nanometers or less.

Implementations describe systems and methods for manufacturing and performing quality assessment of dental appliances. In one embodiment, a method of manufacturing a dental appliance comprises receiving, at a holder, a feature of the dental appliance, the feature comprising a first surface having a first shape, wherein the holder holds the feature of the dental appliance at a reference position. The method further includes automatically placing an object against the feature at the reference position using a robot arm, wherein the object comprises a second surface having a second shape that mates with the first shape. The method further includes applying pressure to press the object against the feature of the dental appliance and bonding the object to the feature of the dental appliance while applying the pressure.
FILTER AND METHOD
An example filter comprises a pleated filter element and a preformed filter mounting element for direct mounting of the filter to a face piece or respirator. The filter further comprises an air impermeable seal extending around a periphery of the filter, the air impermeable seal including and bonded by melted plastic material of the pleated filter element and melted plastic material of the preformed filter mounting element.
INTRAORAL MONITOR AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A method, for forming an intraoral monitor includes forming a first portion of a retainer corresponding in shape to teeth. The method includes forming a second portion of a retainer corresponding in shape to the teeth and including a pocket for insertion of a sensor. The method includes coupling the first and second portions of the retainer to envelop the sensor in the pocket, the retainer having an opening such that the sensor is exposed to the buccal side of the mouth of a user when the retainer is mounted on the teeth.
