The invention relates to a method for producing a container from thermoplastic material having a connection element (5) passing through the wall thereof. The method comprises making available at least one plate-shaped or shell-shaped or tube-shaped preform (3) made of plasticized thermoplastic material, introducing the preform (3) into a multipart molding tool (1) having cavities defining at least one molding recess, molding and final shaping of the preform (3) within the molding tool (1) using differential pressure, piercing of the still warm-plastic preform (3) from the tool side by means of a mandrel (9) in order to produce an opening (6) in the preform (3), insertion from the molding recess side of a connection element (5) into the opening (6) produced by the mandrel (9), and connection of the connection element (5) to the preform (3).
METHOD FOR MAKING A CONTAINMENT ELEMENT AND APPARATUS FOR HEAT-SEALING A COVERING FILM TO AN ANNULAR BAND OF A CONTAINMENT ELEMENT
A method for making a containment element that has a bottom wall (3), a lateral wall (4) connected at the bottom to the bottom wall (3) and a shaped perimetric flange that extends outwards from an upper part of the lateral wall (4), wherein the method comprises a thermoforming operating step in which a flat sheet is thermoformed and the bottom wall (3), the lateral wall (4) and an annular band (2) that projects outwards from the upper part of the lateral wall (4) are created and, subsequently, a hot bending operating step for bending the annular band (2), dividing the annular band (2) into a first annular portion (6) and a second annular portion (7) which are concentric and are not coplanar, after the hot bending the annular band (2) constituting the shaped perimetric flange. An apparatus and a machine able to implement all or part of that method are also claimed.
METHOD FOR THE EXTRUSION BLOW MOULDING OF A CONTAINER OF THERMOPLASTIC MATERIAL AND EXTRUSION BLOW-MOULDED CONTAINER
The invention relates to a method for extrusion blow-molding a container from a thermoplastics material, having at least one conduit through a wall of the container, wherein the method comprises providing an insert part from a thermoplastics material, said insert part having a conduit; incorporating a preform from a thermoplastics material into a blow-molding tool having a mold cavity which defines the contour of the container; molding the preform within the mold cavity, wherein the preform on the mold cavity side encloses the insert part and is welded to the insert part; removing the container from the blow-molding tool; and producing an opening in the wall of the container by means of a tool which is guided from the outside through the conduit of the insert part. The invention furthermore relates to an extrusion blow-molded container from a thermoplastics material.

Removable drape fashion system
A fashion system including a shaped garment comprising a base material and a removable drape is provided herein. The removable drape may be attached to the base material such that corresponding shapes of the base material and the removable drape cooperate to hold the removable drape in place. The base material may be formed using a geometric cutting technique and the removable drape may be formed using a thermoforming technique to create a complementary drape system.

Suture with trim formed tip
The present invention discloses methods for producing a surgical suture having a reduced cross-sectional area portion from monofilaments fibers of various polymeric and metallic materials. Also disclosed are novel sutures having novel tips. Novel suture tipping apparatuses are also disclosed. The monofilament is subjected to the application of thermal treatment coupled with application of mechanical shaping of the fiber element to produce a deformed cross sectional portion of the suture body. The deformed suture body region is subsequently subjected to a trimming operation within a punching/stamping die. The reduced section of the suture body region and is severed to form a suture having a reduced-cross sectional area end portion. Preferably, each reduced region is severed approximately in the center of the trimmed reduced cross sectional area portion to form a suture having both ends of a reduced cross-sectional area.
