MOLD AND METHOD FOR FORMING A PRESSURIZED FLUID CHAMBER
A fluid chamber for a shoe may be formed using pressure channels in a forming mold, eliminating the need to insert a nozzle or needles into the chamber for inflation. A fluid chamber so formed may have a smaller seal area than a chamber formed using an inflation needle, making the chamber more visually pleasing. Apparatus and methods for forming a fluid chamber in this fashion are also disclosed.

THERMOFORMED MASK
Respiratory masks made of thermoformed EVA foam are provided. A mask can include a seal that contacts a user's face in use and a housing permanently joined to the seal. Both the seal and housing can be made of EVA foam. The seal and housing can be made of EVA foam having different densities. The mask can further include a frame removably or permanently coupled the housing. Headgear can be coupled to the frame and can couple the mask to the user's face in use.
Method of forming a three-dimensional object
A method of forming a three-dimensional object 38 with a shape determined by model data defining a model 10 of the object, characterized by the steps of: a) splitting the model 10 into a high elevation/low resolution base part 18 and a low elevation/high resolution cover part 20′; b) forming a base body 30 with a shape as determined by the base part 18 of the model; c) employing a 3D printing technique for printing a sheet-like cover body 34 with a shape as determined by the cover part 20′ of the model; and d) matching the cover body 34 to the base body 30 by vacuum forming.

SELECTIVE THERMOFORMING OF INJECTION MOLDED PARTS
A method for manufacturing an object is disclosed. The method includes the step of obtaining a preform of the object, with the preform having a first panel having a planar portion and at least one second panel. The second panel has an orientation which is different from that of the first panel. The planar portion of the first panel of the preform is thermoformed so as to have a protruding element. The thermoforming is done in a selective manner such that the at least one second panel is not thermoformed. The invention is also directed to a thermoforming device for performing the thermoforming.

Method for molding composite material and jig for molding composite material
A method for molding a composite material in which a curved corner is formed between two planes by using a molding jig includes: shaping a laminated body in such a manner that a thickness of the laminated body is decreased from an outer side toward an inner side of the corner, by using the molding jig in which the angle formed by the two planes is a first bending angle, the laminated body including fiber sheets laminated so as to have the corner curved at the first bending angle; and shaping the laminated body in such a manner that the thickness is decreased from the outer side toward the inner side by curving the corner so as to form a second bending angle, by using the molding jig in which the angle formed by the two planes is the second bending angle smaller than the first bending angle.
