Thermoformed poly-4-hydroxybutyrate medical implants
Methods to produce thermoforms from P4HB homopolymer and blends thereof have been developed. These thermoforms are produced from films and sheets including P4HB, wherein the intrinsic viscosity of the P4HB is less than 3.5 dl/g, but greater than 0.35 dl/g, and the thermoforms are produced at a temperature equal to or greater than the softening point of P4HB, and more preferably at a temperature higher than the melting point of P4HB. A preferred embodiment includes a P4HB thermoform wherein a film or sheet including a P4HB polymer is thermoformed at a temperature between its melting point and 150 C. In a particularly preferred embodiment the thermoform is a laminate made from a P4HB film and a P4HB mesh.
Method for the production and filling of an application package for a liquid pharmaceutical product
A method for the production and filling of an application package for a liquid pharmaceutical product. A thermoforming film made of thermoplastics laminated together is heated in order to plasticize the thermoforming film at least in partial areas. The plasticized areas are thermoformed in a mold in order to form a chamber for the liquid pharmaceutical product and a tube-shaped application duct opening into this chamber, with the chamber and the application duct being enclosed by a non-thermoformed, essentially flat bonding area of the thermoforming film. The liquid pharmaceutical product is filled into the chamber, and the chamber and the application duct are sealed by covering the thermoformed and filled thermoforming film with an essentially flat covering film. The covering film is directly bonded to the bonding area of the thermoforming film by thermal ring sealing, enclosing the chamber and the application duct.
Vacuum forming method
A vacuum forming method of forming a decorative film in close contact with a surface of an adherend in a forming space, by using a vacuum forming machine having the forming space seal-formed by a lower box and an upper box, includes: a pressure adjusting process of decompressing a lower division of the forming space sealed to have a lower pressure than an upper division of the forming space so as to produce a pressure difference between the divided forming spaces, thereby setting the pressure in the vicinity of the surface of the adherend lower pressure than that of the periphery thereof; a pressure releasing process of releasing the pressure difference after the forming process; and an extracting process of extracting a formed product. A lower end portion of the upper box is provided with a jig which suppresses lifting of the decorative film.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING OF 3D PLASTIC PARTS
Systems and methods for forming 3D plastic parts that are cost effective in low volume, have excellent fit and finish, and use many components from 2D construction are disclosed. The systems and methods involve selecting a design and modelling the design. The design comprises 2D and 3D components of plastic parts. A 3D forming buck corresponding to the 3D component is manufactured. At least one of a 2D part and the 3D forming buck may be heated. The 2D part may be loaded onto the 3D forming buck for a predefined period of time. The 3D part formed after the loading may be separated from the 3D forming buck. The 3D part is the 2D part generally having taken the shape of the 3D forming buck. The 3D part may be cooled to obtain an end product.
Display device and display device manufacturing method
A display device includes a display panel including a main display surface and a first sub-display surface that protrudes from one side of the main display surface, an adhesive layer disposed below the display panel, and a thermoforming film disposed below the adhesive layer, and the first sub-display surface may include a first top surface and a first side surface that defines a predetermined angle with the first top surface.
MOLDED COOLING AND HEATING FACE MASK
A molded face mask for treating a user's face, the molded face mask comprising a rigid, inflexible body molded to the user's face, and a coupling means for coupling the molded face mask to the user's face. The body comprises a top edge, a bottom edge, a left side edge and a right side edge and at least one nostril opening disposed proximate the user's nostrils.
Method of Manufacturing a PTP Sheet for Packaging a Pharmaceutical Drug
A method of manufacturing a PTP sheet for pharmaceutical drug packaging from which a solid pharmaceutical drug is easily taken out and in which a pocket portion is hard to be accidentally damaged. The PTP sheet has a first sheet from which a pocket portion capable of housing a solid pharmaceutical drug protrudes to the side of an upper surface and a second sheet which is stuck to a lower surface of the first sheet and which closes an opening of the pocket portion. The pocket portion has a peripheral wall portion having a peripheral surface continuous with the upper surface and a top portion having a top surface continuous with the peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion. A wall thickness of the peripheral wall portion is smaller than a wall thickness of the top portion.
3D thermoplastic composite pultrusion system and method
A 3D thermoplastic pultrusion system and method based upon a 3D variable die system and including one or more sets of 3D thermoplastic forming machines to continuously produce thermoplastic composite pultrusions with at least one of varying cross-section geometry and constant surface contours, varying cross-section geometry and varying surface contours, and constant cross-section geometry and varying surface contours. The 3D thermoplastic pultrusion system and method including at least one of one or more pairs of shapeable and flexible dual-temperature bands and a rotating assembly that rotates the one or more sets of 3D thermoplastic forming machines to impart a twist to the thermoplastic composite.
The 3D thermoplastic pultrusion system and method including at least one of multiple pairs of shapeable and flexible bands and a rotating assembly that rotates the one or more sets of 3D thermoplastic forming machines to impart a twist to the thermoplastic composite.
THERMOFORMED CUSTOMIZED OBJECT HOLDER FOR DIRECT TO OBJECT PRINTERS
A method for printing on a multi-dimensional object may include creating a customized object holder for the multi-dimensional object via thermoforming. The customized object holder includes at least one datum point for providing registration information corresponding to one or more printable areas of the multi-dimensional object. The method may then include mounting the multi-dimensional object on the customized object holder, attaching the customized object holder to a moving sled of a print system, and controlling the movement of the moving sled relative to a plurality of print heads, and operating the plurality of print heads to eject marking material onto the multi-dimensional object. The movement of the moving sled may be controlled by determining a position of at least one printable area on the multi-dimensional object, and using the determined position to control the movement of the moving sled relative to the plurality of print heads.
