METHODS FOR PROVIDING HEAT TO ARTICLES USING HEATED FORMABLE MEDIA
Systems and methods for providing heat to a three-dimensional article are disclosed. The method can include inserting at least a portion of the article over a form. The method can further include inserting the form and article at least partially within an article container and moving the form and article into engagement with a flexible membrane where the membrane and the article container form an airtight chamber. The method can further include exposing the airtight chamber to a pressure less than atmospheric pressure to pull the membrane against at least a portion of the article and exposing the membrane to a heated deformable media.
Thermoforming Machine and Method
A thermoforming machine is provided having at least one frame member and a thermal regulator. The thermal regulator is provided in heat transfer relation with one of the at least one frame member configured to control temperature of the one frame member to mitigate thermal deformation of the frame member. A method is also provided.
PTP sheet for drug packaging
A PTP sheet for pharmaceutical drug packaging from which a solid pharmaceutical drug is easily taken out and in which a pocket portion is hard to be accidentally damaged. A PTP sheet has a first sheet from which a pocket portion capable of housing a solid pharmaceutical drug protrudes to the side of an upper surface and a second sheet which is stuck to a lower surface of the first sheet and which closes an opening of the pocket portion. The pocket portion has a peripheral wall portion having a peripheral surface continuous with the upper surface and a top portion having a top surface continuous with the peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion. A wall thickness of the peripheral wall portion is smaller than a wall thickness of the top portion.
SHAPED OPTICAL FILMS AND METHODS OF SHAPING OPTICAL FILMS
An optical film includes a plurality of polymeric layers shaped along orthogonal first and second directions. A first curve being an intersection of the optical film with a first plane orthogonal to the second direction and to a reference plane has a best-fit first circular arc subtending a first angle at a center of curvature of the first circular arc of greater than 180 degrees where the optical film has a maximum projected area in the reference plane. A second curve being an intersection of the optical film with a second plane orthogonal to the first direction and to the reference plane has a best-fit second circular arc subtending a second angle at a center of curvature of the second circular arc of at least 30 degrees. Reflectance and transmittance of the optical film are described.

A curved surface resin structure includes a support, and a laminate section within a plane of the support, where at least a conductive layer and an electronic material layer are laminated in the laminate section. A surface curvature radius rA1 (mm) of end of the laminate section, a surface curvature radius rA2 (mm) of another end of the laminate section facing the one end with a center region of the laminate section present at a middle point, and an average curvature a radius rB (mm) of a surface of the laminate section satisfy Inequality (1): rA1, rA2<rB, or Inequality (2): rA1, rA2>rB.

The present invention is generally directed to methods and systems for making thermoformed structural elements and composites, including the use of composites, dissimilar or variable processing materials. METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING THREE-DIMENSIONAL CURVED SURFACE ON LAMINATED SUBSTRATE, AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL CURVED LAMINATED SUBSTRATE
A method for forming a three-dimensional curved surface on a laminated substrate is provided. In the method, the laminated substrate is brought into close contact with an elastic sheet. Here, the laminated substrate comprises a support substrate and a conductive layer on the support substrate, and the support substrate comprises a resin substrate comprising a thermoplastic resin. The elastic sheet is deformed while the laminated substrate is in close contact with the elastic sheet. The laminated substrate is brought into close contact with a temperature-controlled mold to soften the resin substrate.
THERMOFORMING MACHINE AND METHOD
A thermoforming device is described. It relates to a mold assembly including a first and second mold, and to a mold that can be used in a thermoforming device. It also relates to a method for thermoforming a product. The thermoforming device is characterized in that the thermoforming device comprises a second pre-stretcher, in addition to a first pre-stretcher and a calibration element (19, 20), and that the second pre-stretcher is at least partially and moveably arranged in a second mold body (12, 43). A movement relative to the second mold body (12, 43) and towards the same forming cavity of the first pre-stretcher, the second pre-stretcher, and the calibration element (19, 20), can be individually controlled, arid the second pre-stretcher at least partially surrounds the first pre-stretcher and the calibration element (19, 20).
Mineral-filled polymer articles and methods of forming same
Mineral-filled polymer compositions and methods of forming such polymer compositions into a thermally stable article are provided. Methods of forming a polymeric article include providing a polymer composition comprising a crystallizable polymer, a mineral filler in an amount of more than about 15 wt-% based on the total weight of the polymer composition, and an impact modifier, wherein the polymer composition is at a temperature less than a crystallization temperature of the crystallizable polymer. The methods further include disposing the polymer composition in a mold, forming the polymer composition into an article within the mold, and releasing the article from the mold. The methods can include thermoforming the polymer composition in a mold, or injection molding the polymer composition in a molten form in a mold.
