Method for Bubble-Free Gas-Enrichment of a Flowing Liquid within a Conduit
20230022647 · 2023-01-26 ·

The present invention provides a system for enriching a flowing liquid with a dissolved gas inside a conduit. The system comprises two or more capillaries, each capillary delivering a stream of a gas-enriched liquid to the flowing liquid. The first ends of the capillaries are positioned to form an intersecting angle with respect to the effluent streams such that these streams of gas-enriched liquid collide with each other upon exit from the first ends of the capillaries, effecting localized convective mixing within the larger liquid conduit before these gas-enriched streams are able to come into close contact with the boundary surfaces of the conduit, whereby the gas-enriched liquid mixes with the flowing liquid to form a gas-enriched flowing liquid. In the preferred embodiment, no observable bubbles are formed in the gas-enriched flowing liquid. Methods of making and using such system are also provided.

COIL CATHETER, METHOD OF USE, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
20230010429 · 2023-01-12 ·

A catheter device and manufacturing process for manufacturing the catheter device, wherein the catheter device has a halo-shaped coiled portion extending away from a perpendicular stem portion through a swan neck portion. Eyelets on the halo coil portion and swan neck portion facilitate flow out of the bladder through the catheter device vertical to the catheter, rather than perpendicularly as is the case with existing catheters. The catheter device is formed by using a straight catheter tube, heating and cooling it within a formed mold to have the halo coil and swan neck, such that it can be straightened using a pusher and stylet, inserted into the body while straightened, and thereafter return to its coiled shape when the stylet is removed.

TUBE ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF FORMING SAME

A method of manufacturing a tube assembly includes surrounding an outer surface of a cured rubber hose with a thermoplastic layer, the cured rubber hose extending along a length between a first end and a second end and having a first shape along its length, the thermoplastic layer surrounding the cured rubber hose along at least a portion of the length. The cured rubber hose surrounded with the thermoplastic layer is molded into a second shape different than the first shape. The cured rubber hose is retained in the second shape by the thermoplastic layer. A tube assembly includes a cured rubber hose and thermoplastic layer surrounding the rubber hose along at least a portion of the length of the cured rubber hose. The cured rubber hose has been cured in a first shape along its length and the thermoplastic layer retains the cured rubber hose in a second shape.

MACHINE AND PROCESS FOR BENDING THERMOPLASTIC TUBE

A machine and a process for bending filiform thermoplastic material, such as a tube, by using a machine for bending tubes provided with a heating apparatus governed by a programmable control unit with a core body positionable inside the portion of the tube to be bent, suitable for being heated in a sector-by-sector basis, said sectors being independent of each other and heatable independently of each other.

Preformed thermoplastic tube including at least one bend

A method for making a preformed thermoplastic tube having a tube wall and including at least one bend formed by thermoforming, characterized in that on an inner curve of the bend the tube wall is provided with a pattern of corrugations with minimal dimensions in terms of number of and heights of corrugations such that a wall length reduction resulting from the corrugations along the inner curve is kept at a minimal value necessary to absorb overlength on the inner curve resulting from forming the bend, and in that on an outer curve of the bend the tube wall is smooth and free of corrugations.

HEAT EXCHANGE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLY

A method of constructing a coil wound heat exchange module and transporting and installing the coil wound heat exchange module at a plant site, such as an natural gas liquefaction plant. A module frame is constructed and attached to a heat exchanger shell prior to telescoping of a coil wound mandrel into the shell. The module frame includes a lug and two saddles that remain attached to the shell throughout the process and when the heat exchanger is operated. The lug and saddles are constructed and located to stabilize the shell during construction, telescoping and transport (when in a horizontal orientation), and when the shell is installed at the plant site (in a vertical orientation). The lugs and saddles are adapted to allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the shell when it is transitioned from ambient to operating temperature and vice versa.

THERMOPLASTIC TUBE BENDING METHOD

An object is to provide a thermoplastic tube bending method that suppresses springback after the processing by a highly safe and short bending step. The thermoplastic tube bending method includes a step S1 of preheating the thermoplastic tube, a step S2 of bending the preheated thermoplastic tube by using a forming mold, and a step S3 of forming the bent thermoplastic tube by temperature control of an electric heater provided to the forming mold.
