Center knife drive for an agricultural harvester
A header for an agricultural harvester comprising a frame and an epicyclical drive operatively connected to the frame. The epicyclical drive includes a first rotatable wheel having a first central rotational axis and a first flange. The first flange includes a first eccentric axis rotatable about the first central rotational axis, and a first output shaft spaced from the first eccentric axis. The epicyclical drive further includes a second rotatable wheel having a second central rotational axis and a second flange. The second flange includes a second eccentric axis rotatable about the second central rotational axis, and a second output shaft spaced from the second eccentric axis. The header further includes a first cutter bar directly connected to the first output shaft and a second cutter bar directly connected to the second output shaft. Operation of the epicyclical drive results in substantially linear oscillating motion of the cutter bars.

APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR REVITALIZING ARTIFICIAL TURF FIELDS
Apparatus and methods for revitalizing artificial turf fields are disclosed. In one exemplary apparatus, the apparatus may comprise a support frame, a plurality of shearing machines installed on the support frame, and a plurality of wheels installed on the support frame. The support frame may be configured to position the shearing machines parallel to each other to tilt the shearing machines with respect a surface of the artificial turf field, and to position the shearing machines above a surface of the field at a distance such that the shearing machines cut fibers to produce trimmed fibers that have a length that can extend above infill or topmost layer of the artificial turf field. Methods for revitalizing artificial turf fields using the same are also disclosed.

Elongate sickle knife
A header for an agricultural vehicle. The header includes a header frame and an elongate sickle knife mounted along a leading edge of the header. The header further includes an actuator for reciprocally moving the elongate sickle knife in its longitudinal direction relative to the header frame between a first position and a second position over an intermediate position. At least one accumulator extends between the header frame and the elongate sickle knife to accumulate energy during a first movement of the elongate sickle knife from the intermediate position towards at least one of the first position and the second position, and to release accumulated energy during a second movement of the elongate sickle knife opposite to the first movement.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PERFORMING CUTTING OPERATIONS USING AN ULTRASONIC CUTTING MEMBER OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
A system and method for performing cutting operations with an agricultural implement includes a cutting member capable of cutting plant material supported on the agricultural implement. A vibration source is operatively coupled to the cutting member. The vibration source is configured to generate a vibrational output at an ultrasonic frequency which is transmitted to the cutting member. The vibrational output is propagated through at least a portion of the cutting member to vibrate the cutting member as the plant material is being severed during the performance of the cutting operation.
TOOL HEAD FOR A HAND-GUIDED IMPLEMENT AND IMPLEMENT HAVING A TOOL HEAD
A tool head for a hand-guided implement possesses two rotatably mounted tools, wherein a first tool is drivable via a first linkage and a second tool is drivable via a second linkage. The tools are drivable so that they rotate back and forth in opposite directions about a common rotational axis. The first linkage possesses a first drive member coupled to a first coupling member pivotably about a first link axis. The first coupling member is coupled to the first tool pivotably about a second link axis. The second linkage possesses a second drive member coupled to a second coupling member pivotably about a third link axis. The second coupling member is coupled to the second tool pivotably about a fourth link axis. The rotational axis of the tools and the coupling drive axis span a center plane, which runs between the second link axis and the fourth link axis.
