SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PAINT-ROLLER MANUFACTURING WITH INTEGRATED FINAL CUTTING ONLINE AND FOR CONDITIONING PAINT-ROLLER COVER FABRIC
A paint roller manufacturing system and method are described. In an embodiment, an inner strip of material and an outer strip of material are wound about a mandrel in offset relation. The inner strip of material and the outer strip of material each comprise material that results in a final paint roller which shrinks by less than 2.5 percent of the final paint roller axial length, or which has shrinkage that varies by less +/−0.1%, upon hardening and setting. An adhesive is applied to at least a portion of the outer strip as it is wound about the mandrel. A length of fabric is wound about at least the outer strip to form a paint roller tube, and compression is applied to the paint roller tube while advancing the paint roller tube in a direction parallel to the mandrel.
Filament winding device
A filament winding device includes: a supporting unit that supports a mandrel on which a plurality of fiber bundles impregnated with a resin are wound, the supporting unit movable in the axial direction of the mandrel; and a helical unit having a plurality of fiber bundle guide units arranged radially in the circumferential direction of the mandrel and guide the corresponding plurality of fiber bundles to the mandrel, the helical unit supplying the plurality of fiber bundles to the mandrel through the fiber bundle guide units. Each of the fiber bundle guide units has a pressing roller for pressing a fiber bundle supplied to the mandrel, against the circumferential surface moving in the axial direction. The pressing roller can come into the contact with the circumferential surface of the mandrel and be rotationally driven about a roller axis extending in a roller axis direction perpendicular to the axial direction.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING A PIPE SHELL FROM AN INSULATING MATERIAL
The invention relates to a method and a device for manufacturing a pipe shell from an insulating material by means of which the cycle times can be further reduced while the quality of the pipe shell is simultaneously improved, by at least one web (29) of the insulating material which is provided with a binding agent being wound around a core (19) by means of at least two opposing belts (12, 13) which wrap around the core (19) partially. The method steps are characterized in that the at least one wound-up web (32) of insulating material is removed in a radial direction of the core (19) which is, however, not opposite to the direction in which the at least one web (29) of insulating material was fed by the one belt (12), especially by the wound-up web (32) being discharged through the same belt (12).
FILAMENT WINDING DEVICE
A filament winding device includes a fiber bundle retainer that temporarily retains fiber bundles. The fiber bundle retainer includes: a reel member including an outer peripheral portion having pins movable in the axial direction relative to the fiber bundles supplied through fiber bundle guides and rotatable about the axis of the liner, the reel member capable of winding the fiber bundles onto the outer peripheral portion; a first cutting unit configured to cut a part of each of the fiber bundles in the circumferential direction, the part being between a part of the fiber bundle wound on the outer peripheral portion and a part of the fiber bundle wound on the liner; and a second cutting unit different from the first cutting unit and configured to cut a part of each of the fiber bundles in the axial direction, the part being wound on the outer peripheral portion.

A filament winding device includes a supporter configured to support a liner in a rotatable manner; a yarn supplying unit configured to support bobbins; a helical winding head configured to helical-wind a fiber bundles onto the liner; and a standard thread guiding mechanism configured to form a standard thread guide channel that guides a standard thread from the bobbins to the liner, the standard thread being different from the fiber bundles and being connected to leading ends of the fiber bundles, the standard thread guiding mechanism including nozzles configured to blow the standard thread with a compressed gas, and guide tubes configured to guide the standard thread blown by the nozzles, and the nozzles and the guide tubes being disposed along a fiber bundle guide channel, and capable of taking up the standard thread from the standard thread guide channel to the fiber bundle guide channel.

A tank production method for preventing generation of non-uniform stacked portions in a sheet layer while securing the strength of the tank, the method including a winding step of winding resin-impregnated fiber sheets to form a sheet layer with a predetermined thickness. The winding step includes divided winding steps of winding divided fiber sheets obtained by dividing a fiber sheet into a plurality of divided fiber sheets having a length shorter than the length required to form the sheet layer with the predetermined thickness. The second divided winding step or each of the second and following divided winding step satisfies an Inequality: X>(σ.Math.t.Math.L)/(A.Math.W), where an overlapped length of the start end of a new divided fiber sheet stacked on the terminal end of the divided fiber sheet wound in the preceding divided winding step is X, the tensile stress applied to the tank in the circumferential direction thereof is σ, the thickness and width of each divided fiber sheet are t and W, respectively, the length of a cylindrical portion of the tank is L, and the shearing strength of the resin is A.
WINDING DEVICE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF WINDING BODY
According to the embodiments, a winding device is a device for manufacturing a winding body obtained by winding a plurality of band bodies including a first band body and a second band body. The winding device includes a core and an adjuster. The core winds a plurality of band bodies thereonto by rotating. The adjuster varies the size of an area of a region between a first position and a second position on an outer circumferential surface of the core, in which the first position is a position at which the first band body starts contacting a member on an inner side thereof, and the second position is a position at which the second band body starts contacting the first band body.

A filament winding apparatus includes a working area in which an operator performs an operation to at least one bobbin and/or liner on a conveyance path, an operation area in which a winder is driven, a buffer area between the working area and the operation area in a conveyance direction on the conveyance path, and an outside area that is neither the working area, the operation area, nor the buffer area being provided; and first fixed fences provided at borders between (i) the operation area and the buffer area and (ii) the working area and at the borders between (I) the operation area and the buffer area and (II) the outside area; and a first door provided at a border between the working area and the buffer area, and wherein the buffer area includes an accumulator portion capable of accumulating the at least one bobbin and the liner.
