LAMINATED FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A laminated film having a resin layer laminated on at least one surface of a base film. The laminated film is characterized by: the base film being a semi-aromatic polyamide film that has been at least uniaxially stretched; the resin layer having a thickness of 0.03 to 0.5 μm; and the close adhesion between the base film and the resin layer, according to the cross-cut method described in JIS K 5600, being 95% or more.
METHODS FOR PLASTICIZING POLY(ETHYLENE FURANOATE) FILMS BY WATER SORPTION
This disclosure provides an investigation of the kinetic uptake properties of water in amorphous PEF and PET across the entire water activity interval at various temperatures, and also investigates the corresponding equilibrium uptake properties at the same conditions. Uptake data were measured using three independent and complementary methodologies, and excellent agreement was observed among all three methodologies. Accordingly, this disclosure provides for methods of plasticizing poly(ethylene furanoate) film by cold water sorption, and provides a plasticized poly(ethylene furanoate) (PEF) film made according to the disclosed methods. Methods for making thin films of PEF are also provided.
COMPOSITE RESIN MOLDED BODY, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND CASING MEMBER USING SAME
A composite resin molded body includes a base compound resin and a molten-kneaded mixture which contains an organic fibrous filler, and a dispersing agent. In the composite resin molded body, a content of the organic fibrous filler is at least 5 mass % and at most 70 mass %, and a proportion T of the organic fibrous filler carbonized in the composite resin molded body is equal to or less than 0.1.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AN ORIENTED FILM COMPRISING POLY(ETHYLENE-2,5-FURANDICARBOXYLATE)
An oriented film including poly(ethylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate) is produced in a process by preparing a sheet from a poly(ethylene-2,5-furandicarboxylate) resin by heat processing, which sheet has a thickness of at most 2.5 mm; allowing the sheet to cool; and stretching the cooled sheet in at least one direction with a stretch ratio of at least 4/1 at a temperature in the range of 90 to 130° C., yielding an oriented film. The oriented film has a thickness of 1 to 400 μm and a tensile strength at break of at least 100 MPa.
POLYETHYLENE-BASED THERMALLY-SHRINKABLE MULTILAYER FILM FOR PACKAGING, AND PACKAGE AND PACKAGING METHOD THEREFOR
A polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable film for pack-in box packaging, in which: a product is not damaged due to breakage or looseness of a film during packaging and transportation of the product; because of the low-temperature shrink characteristic, the product is not exposed to excessively high heat during shrink wrapping and power consumption in a shrink tunnel can be reduced; and because of a small thickness of the film, garbage and other wastes can be reduced. The film is a polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable multilayer film for pack-in box packaging obtained by biaxial orientation in MD and TD and stretching in MD only further after biaxial orientation. Preferably, the film is a polyethylene-based thermally-shrinkable multilayer film for pack-in box packaging in which the film as a whole has a thickness of 25 μm or less.
POLYMERIC PIEZOELECTRIC FILM
Provided is a polymeric piezoelectric film including a helical chiral polymer having a weight average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 1,000,000 and having optical activity, in which a crystallinity of the film measured by a DSC method is from 20% to 80%, a product of a standardized molecular orientation MORc measured by a microwave transmission-type molecular orientation meter based on a reference thickness of 50 μm and the crystallinity is from 40 to 700, and, when a refractive index in a slow axis direction in the film surface is n.sub.x, a refractive index in a fast axis direction in the film surface is n.sub.y, a refractive index in a thickness direction of the film is n.sub.z, and an Nz coefficient=(n.sub.x−n.sub.z)/(n.sub.x−n.sub.y), the Nz coefficient is from 1.108 to 1.140.
High-Energy Density Nancomposite Capacitor
