EASY MOUNT STALK STOMPER
A row crop harvesting header (24) operable to be advanced along a forward travel direction to harvest a series of plants in a crop row. The row crop harvesting header broadly includes a row crop toolbar (48), a crop-gathering row unit assembly, and a plant stalk stomper (42). The row crop toolbar (48) extends laterally relative to the forward travel direction. The row unit assembly is supported by the toolbar (48) to define a forwardly extending row path, with the row unit assembly being operable to collect the crop row along the row path and sever crop stalks as the header (24) moves forwardly. The row unit housing (54) is attached to the row crop toolbar (48) with forward and aft fasteners (44). The plant stalk stomper (42) is attached to the toolbar (48) with at least one of the fasteners (44).
Device for Harvesting Stalk Material
The invention relates to a device (2) for harvesting stalk material, comprising a feed region, a conveyor device (4), a picking device, and a device which is arranged on a plane below the picking device for cutting stalks and has at least one cutter that rotates in a circulating manner on a horizontal or at least approximately horizontal plane. The aim of the invention is to provide a device with which the vegetable structure of the stubble pieces are damaged in addition to being cut such that bacteria and moisture can more easily penetrate the interior of a stalk piece, in particular stubble standing on the field. This is achieved in that at least one impact element (22) is formed on the cutter (18) which rotates in a circulating manner, said impact element rising over the thickness of the cutter blade.
STALK PULLER
A stalk puller to be used with or without a mower/shredder utilizes a pair of independently mounted discs converging along their lower edge to grasp and pull stalks from the ground as the stalk puller is moved down the row by a prime mover. At least one of the discs is urged against the other by a spring such that the associated disc may allow rocks and debris to pass between the discs without damage. The spring mounting reduces adjustments due to normal wear as well as damage from debris.
MULTIPURPOSE LEAF CROP HARVESTING APPARATUS AND PROCESSING METHOD
The Multipurpose Leaf Crop Harvesting Apparatus and Processing Method will accomplish seven steps in one pass of the combine harvester. This apparatus and processing method harvests leaf crops and is configured to perform multiple processing operations, including fractionation of the leaf crop, leaf maceration, leaf sizing, elevating the leaf fraction to a transport vehicle, and stem conditioning, cutting and windrowing, in a single pass through the crop field. These steps are accomplished using a header unit, an adapter feeder macerator and a forage harvester vehicle, expeditiously removing the leaf fraction from the field. Following leaf fraction harvesting, the leaf fraction is processed by densification into forage feed products. The processed leaf fraction can be combined with other feeds to make up customized feed rations. The stem fraction is also processed. The present invention can also be used to harvest grass crops.
Header for agricultural harvester equipped with dual cutter bar system
A header for a combine harvester has a first cutter bar for cutting crops at a first height so that the cut portions are gathered towards the central area of the header by an auger or draper mechanism, and a second cutter bar configured to cut the remaining stalks of the crops at a second height lower than the first height. The second cutter bar is displaceable with respect to the header body without separating it from the header body, the header body including a header back wall, side walls and floor portion. The second cutter bar is movable to an inactive position. The header is operable with the first cutter bar as a single cutter bar, when the second cutter bar is in the stored position.
Agricultural System For Field Preparation
An agricultural system includes a frame configured for attachment to a leading tow bar of a towing vehicle, and at least one roller device attached to the frame and extending between two adjacent parallel strip positions. The roller device is configured to crush standing residual plant matter in the field. The system further includes a fertilizer opener disk attached to the frame and which is configured to prepare, at least in part, a furrow for receiving a fertilizer. The system also includes a fertilizer injector attached to the frame and which is configured to deposit the fertilizer into the furrow in a trailing position relative to the fertilizer opener disk.
Drive arrangement for direct drive rotor
A direct drive system is provided for supporting and driving a rotor. The drive system includes a support body and a drive hub assembly, which are modularized respectively and assembled together to produce the drive system. The support body has a body wall extending between opposite ends. One of the ends has an interior surface and an exterior surface. The drive hub assembly is mounted onto the exterior surface of the end of the support body. The motor mounts so as to be position primarily in an interior of the support body.
Land roller with chopping blades
A vegetation chopping roller for an agricultural land roller implement including a drum body having an outer periphery which is generally cylindrical about a drum axis of rotation and a plurality of protruding mounting flanges upon which chopping blades are mounted using threaded fasteners. A seating surface is fixedly supported in relation to the drum body in association with each blade which receives the inner edge of the associated blade abutted thereon such that the threaded fasteners are substantially isolated from shear forces by the abutment of the blades with the seating surfaces.
STALK CONDITIONER FOR A HEADER OF AN AGRICULTURAL COMBINE
A header for a combine harvester is provided. The header includes a frame mountable to a forward end of the combine harvester, at least one row unit mounted to the frame to receive and process stalks of corn, a stomping shoe mounted to the frame behind the row unit to flatten stalks of corn, and a stalk splitter mounted to frame behind the row unit to split stalks of corn. The face of the stomping shoe is provided with a plurality of structures to guide each stalk of corn along a predefined path on the face while the stalks of corn are flattened. The stalk splitter includes a disk blade biased against the ground for splitting stalks of corn after they are processed by row units of the corn header.
Swather tractor with a compressor attachment
A swather includes a swath compression panel with a downwardly and rearwardly inclined undersurface for applying a downward compression force on the swath between the front and rear wheels. A mounting assembly includes an actuator operable in response to a speed and/or direction of travel of the tractor for raising the panel to a retracted position under the tractor. A bottom stop halts downward movement of the actuator before the panel engages the ground. The panel includes an upwardly and rearwardly inclined curved rear portion to smoothly release the compressed crop. The panel is mounted on the tractor frame at a position thereon rearward of a transverse beam connected to the front wheels so that the swath is released from the discharge opening of the header and can expand for discharge to the ground before the swath is engaged by the front end of the panel.
