Method that Forms Pattern on Fabric Member and Fixes Pattern on Trim
A method can be used to attach a fabric member to a trim while forming a pattern in the fabric member. A trim has trim grooves formed in one side of the trim and a fabric member has a foam formed in one side of a skin material of the fabric member. A bonding member is coated to an outer surface of the foam and the fabric member is heated where the bonding member is coated. The heated fabric member is placed on the side of the trim where the trim grooves are formed. The fabric member is fixed to the trim by inserting edges of the fabric member into the trim grooves using insertion blades while pattern protrusions formed in a compression jig form a pattern by pressing the skin material of the fabric member.
METHOD OF MAKING INTERLOCKING JOINT FOR PILE ENCAPSULATION JACKETS
Embodiments provide a method for forming a groove on a pile encapsulation jacket to form an interlocking joint on the pile encapsulation jacket. A spacer may be used to form the groove. First, a pile jacket laminate is formed on a mandrel surface. The pile jacket laminate may be partially cured to have a solid but sticky surface. The spacer may be placed on the pile jacket laminate. An additional layer of laminate may be formed on at least a portion of the pile jacket laminate and at least a portion of the spacer. The entire structure may be cured and the spacer may be removed. A groove is formed between the pile jacket laminate and the additional layer of laminate at a space previously occupied by the spacer. The groove has the same width as the portion of the spacer that was covered with the additional layer of laminate.

A method for laminating a component by means of a laminating tool with a laminating element, wherein the component has a groove, wherein the component has a first surface and second surface, wherein the first surface and the second surface border on one another in the groove, wherein the method comprises the following steps: masking the first surface with a mask, wherein the mask has a resilient lip, pressing the resilient lip into the groove by means of the laminating tool, wherein the resilient lip is designed, after having being pressed into the groove, to mask within the groove a partial area of exclusively the first surface, laminating the second surface with the laminating element, wherein, due to the lamination, parts of the laminating element cover the mask, removing the parts of the laminating element which cover the mask.

The present disclosure provides a method of applying a protective film on at least one portion of a wind turbine blade, a wind turbine blade, and an apparatus for forming a groove on a surface of at least one portion of a wind turbine blade. The method of applying a protective film on at least one portion of a wind turbine blade comprises providing the at least one portion of the wind turbine blade; forming a groove on a surface of the at least one portion of the wind turbine blade, thereby delimiting a first region of the surface of the at least one portion of the wind turbine blade from a second region of the surface of the at least one portion of the wind turbine blade, wherein the first region of the surface of the at least one portion of the wind turbine blade includes the groove; covering the first region of the surface of the at least one portion of the wind turbine blade with a protective film; and pressing an edge region of the protective film in the groove, thereby inserting the edge region of the protective film in the groove.
