Slope mower with automatic leveling suspension and system for maintaining vertical orientation of mower body
A slope mower includes a mower body, drive wheels, left and right mower decks and left and right support wheels mounted on support arms pivotally mounted to the mower body with hydraulic actuators acting on the left and right support arms to maintain the mower body vertical. An inclinometer measures the tilt angle of the mower body and a controller reads the angle and controls a leveling valve to supply hydraulic fluid from a supply line to the leveling actuator toward which the inclinometer indicates the mower body is leaning to move the mower body back to vertical. The system can be programmed to actuate a leveling actuator only when the detected tilt angle exceeds a minimum angle. Lockout valves can be actuated by the controller to block the flow of hydraulic fluid to or from both actuators if a maximum allowed tilt angle is exceeded.
Landscape trimming tool attachment device
A landscape trimming tool attachment device for creating circular and uniform tree wells is made up of a curved tree collar, a substantially linear extension section, and an attachment means for attaching the attachment device to a landscape trimming tool.
Slope mower with safety features
Mowing systems include a mower and, optionally, a remote control unit such as a handheld unit, between which may be provided 1- or 2-way communications. Components and features are included in the mower, the remote control unit, or both to enhance the safety, functionality, or user experience of the system's user/operator. One aspect relates to monitoring a tilt angle of the mower, and defining or executing different system responses as a function of different first and second conditions that relate to the tilt angle. Another aspect relates to automatic adjustment of a speed setting of the mower's drive system as a function of a power takeoff (PTO) unit of the mower.

Mower for mowing around fence and railing posts
A mower assembly is provided for cutting around a post. A support structure supports the mower assembly in cantilever fashion. The mower assembly includes a plurality of mower units with each mower unit having a rotary blade. Two or more mower units cooperate to engage and cut around a post and, during the process, the entire mower assembly rotates about an axis enabling the mower units to encircle and efficiently cut grass and other vegetation about the post.
WALK BEHIND MOWER
In a walk behind mower (10) including a clutch (23) provided in a power transmission path between an electric motor (35) and driven wheels (13), a clutch actuating mechanism (24) interposed between the electric motor and the clutch for selectively engaging the clutch, and a control unit (140) for selectively supplying electric power from a power source to the electric motor according to a command from an operation switch (30), the clutch actuating mechanism includes a cam mechanism for engaging the clutch by using a force transmitted to an input end (23a) of the clutch in the power transmission path when the electric motor is being driven in a normal rotational direction, and the control unit is configured to drive the electric motor in a reverse rotational direction for a prescribed period of time before stopping supplying electric power to the electric motor when a command to stop supplying electric power to the electric motor is received from the operation switch.
WALK BEHIND MOWER
In a walk behind mower (10), a clutch actuating mechanism (24) and a dog clutch (23) is included in the power transmission path for the driven wheels (13). The dog clutch includes an input end (23a) provided with teeth (231), an output end (23b) provided with teeth (232) configured to selectively mesh with the teeth of the first clutch half, and a spring member (26) interposed between the first clutch half and the second clutch half to normally urge the two clutch halves away from each other. The clutch actuating mechanism is configured to displace the two clutch halves toward each other against a biasing force of the spring member by using a drive force transmitted from the power source to the clutch actuating mechanism.
Mower quick height of cut adjustment
A mower comprising a vehicle, a plurality of cutting assemblies, and an automatic height of cut control system is described. In some aspects, the automatic height of cut control system is configured to automatically change the height of cut for the plurality of cutting assemblies while maintaining the attitude of each cutting blade as the blade moves from a first height of cut to a second height of cut. In some aspects, the cutting assemblies include a variable-length member linked to a four-bar linkage configured to cause a change in the height of cut in response to a change in length of the variable-length member.
Turf Trimming System and Integrated Control System
A motorized turf trimming system and method with integrated control for a carrier vehicle and rotary trimming attachments is disclosed. The system can be configured for automatically trimming around stationary objects such as trees, signposts, guard rail posts, barrier posts, light bases, etc.
MOWER DECK HILLSIDE ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM
A mower deck hillside adjustment system includes an angle sensor such as an inertial measurement unit mounted to the mower deck for measuring the angle of the mower deck on the roll axis. The angle from the sensor is used to command a left actuator and a right actuator to raise or lower the left side or right side of the mower deck respectively so each side of the mower deck is at the same height to compensate for tire squat and eliminate step cuts.
