Method for forming three-dimensional object, three-dimensional-object forming apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable medium storing program for three-dimensional-object forming apparatus
A method for forming a three-dimensional object by extruding ink droplets from ink-jet heads includes forming an inner build region of the object. A colored region is formed outside of the inner build region so as to color the object. A support region is formed outside of the colored region so as to support the object while the object is being formed. An intermediate region is formed between the inner build region and the colored region. The intermediate region is formed in such a manner that affinity between the intermediate region and the inner build region and affinity between the intermediate region and the colored region are higher than affinity between the colored region and the support region.
Apparatus and methods for fabricating components
An additive manufacturing method for fabricating a component having a surface substantially free of imperfections may include providing a mold having a configuration corresponding to the component, and depositing a material on at least one surface of the mold to fabricate the component having the surface substantially free of imperfections.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR COMPRESSING MATERIAL DURING ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
An additive manufacturing device and method for delivering a flowable material from a nozzle of a programmable computer numeric control (CNC) machine, and compressing the flowable material with a compression roller. In one embodiment, the device includes a nozzle configured to deposit a flowable material on a surface; and a roller configured to compress the deposited flowable material, wherein the roller comprises: a flat center portion having a constant diameter; and opposed end portions, wherein each end portion extends outwardly from the flat center portion, and wherein a radially outermost surface of each end portion is angled relative a rotational axis of the roller.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NEGATIVE 3D PRINTING MACHINE AT HIGH RESOLUTION
Methods and apparatus for the fabrication of solid three-dimensional objects from liquid polymerizable materials at high resolution. A material is coated on a film non-digitally, excess material is removed digitally, by laser, leaving an image of a layer to be printed, and the image is then engaged with existing portions of an object being fabricated and exposed to a non-digital UV curing light source. Since the only part of the process that is digital is the material removal, and this part is done by laser, the speed of printing and the robustness of the manufacturing process is improved significantly over conventional additive or 3D fabrication techniques.
