The method includes depositing a hard-setting material mix to create a construction component, controlling a movable unit to manipulate a surface of the construction component with a first profile tool arranged on the movable unit based on surface design data before the hard-setting material mix sets, and controlling the movable unit or at least one other movable unit to manipulate the surface of the construction component with a second profile tool arranged on the movable unit or the at least one other movable unit based on the surface design data before the hard-setting material mix sets, wherein the second profile tool comprises a blade edge and a trowel edge.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL MOLDING APPARATUS, THREE-DIMENSIONAL MOLDING METHOD, AND MOLDING MATERIAL
A three-dimensional molding apparatus repeatedly discharges a first molding material, which configures the surface layer of a three-dimensional molding and comprises a mechanoluminescent material that emits light upon being subjected to an external force, and a second molding material, which configures internal areas located on the inside of the surface layer of the three-dimensional molding, onto a molding stage to form a molding material layer, and molds the three-dimensional molding by layering multiple molding material layers.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL SHAPED OBJECT
There is provided a manufacturing method of the three-dimensional shaped object, the method being capable of reducing an undesirable phenomenon associated with the contamination of the light transmission window with the fume substance. The manufacturing method according to an embodiment of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a three-dimensional shaped object by alternate repetition of a powder-layer forming and a solidified-layer forming, wherein the irradiation with light beam for the solidified-layer forming is performed by directing the light beam into the chamber through a light transmission window of the chamber, and wherein a gas blow is supplied to the light transmission window by use of a movable gas supply device, the light transmission window having been contaminated with a fume generated upon the formation of the solidified layer.
Apparatus and process for producing additive manufactured metal matrix composites and article of manufacture thereof
A method, product, apparatus, and article of manufacture for the application of the Composite Based Additive Manufacturing (CBAM) method to produce objects in metal, and in metal fiber hybrids or composites. The approach has many advantages, including the ability to produce more complex geometries than conventional methods such as milling and casting, improved material properties, higher production rates and the elimination of complex fixturing, complex tool paths and tool changes and, for casting, the need for patterns and tools. The approach works by slicing a 3D model, selectively printing a fluid onto a sheet of substrate material for each layer based on the model, flooding onto the substrate a powdered metal to which the fluid adheres in printed areas, clamping and aligning a stack of coated sheets, heating the stacked sheets to melt the powdered metal and fuse the layers of substrate, and removing excess powder and unfused substrate.
