METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CONTAINER
Examples of the present disclosure relate to a method of manufacturing a container for a printing material. The method includes providing a first portion of the container comprising an opening circumscribed by an annular wall. The method then includes providing a second portion comprising an annular cavity, followed by joining the two portions by advancing the annular wall into the annular cavity by applying a compressive force in an axial direction of the opening, and temporarily rotating the first portion and the second portion relative to each other to fuse the first and second portions.
Push To Connect Coupling
A quick coupling system where a conduit can be pushed into the coupling to secure and seal the conduit with the coupling includes a gripping ring and a seal. The seal is located outboard of the gripping ring so that the gripping ring does not damage the outer surface of the conduit engaged by the seal. The coupling system also may include a wiper outboard of the seal to clean the outer surface of the conduit as the conduit is inserted into the coupling system.
Protective cap for a positive crankcase ventilation port and a method to manufacture
A positive crankcase ventilation system for an internal combustion engine routes blowby gases into the intake of the engine. Because the blowby gases have about 12% water vapor, during cold-weather operation, the water vapor may freeze in the PCV valve or in the port that couples the PCV duct with the intake manifold. In situations in which the PCV duct is pointing toward the direction of flow of the intake gases, a hood or cap is placed over the end of the tube according to the present disclosure. It can be as simple as a 90-degree elbow or multiple openings in the cap. A centerline of the openings is perpendicular or at an obtuse angle with respect to the direction of flow in the duct so that the intake gases do not directly access the openings and cause freezing in the openings (or ports).
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
The relates to a method of mechanically securing a first object to a second object and includes the steps of: providing the first object including thermoplastic material in a solid state, providing the second object with a generally flat sheet portion having an edge, positioning the first object relative to the second object and bringing the first object and the second object to a relative movement to each other. The relative movement includes a rotational movement, such that a melting zone including flowable thermoplastic material is formed and such that thermoplastic material of the melting zone flows around the edge to at least partially embed the edge in the thermoplastic material. The invention further concerns a connector that is suitable for being used in a method according to the invention.
Preforms for flair applications
A preform can be made from two different materials that do not bond together by a bi-injection process, using the same mold. First an outer preform can be fashioned, then an inner preform molded through a center hole in the bottom of the outer preform, and the preforms connected. Inner/outer preform materials can be different, e.g., PET/polyolefin or polyamide, or same, e.g., PET/PET. To prevent mutual bonding during molding of the second, a non-stick coating can be sprayed on a surface portion of the first preform prior to molding the second. Manufacturing order can be either outer/inner, or inner/outer, and the non-stick coating sprayed on the inside/outside of the preform first molded.
Method for welding polyamide and poly(meth)acrylate plastics
The invention relates to a method for welding a polyamide plastic and a poly(meth)acrylateparticularly a polymethyl methacrylateplastic using a primer, said primer containing at least one copolymer synthesised from at least one styrene or styrene derivative and at least one maleic anhydride or maleic anhydride derivative. The invention also relates to correspondingly welded products.
VALVE ARRANGEMENT AND DISPENSING APPARATUS
A valve arrangement for dispensing a fluid is proposed. The valve arrangement comprises a valve plate for fixing the valve arrangement to a container, a valve housing and a fixing part for fixing the valve housing to the valve plate. The fixing part is welded with the valve plate. Furthermore, a dispensing apparatus with a container and a valve arrangement as well as a production method are proposed.
MODULAR ROTOR BLADES AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHODS AND SYSTEMS
A system for manufacturing a rotor blade comprises a first tooling, positioned at a factory location and configured to assemble a first blade module, comprising a first-module skin and a first-module spar, each comprising a first thermoplastic polymer and a first reinforcement material. The system also comprises a second tooling, configured to assemble a second blade module, comprising a second-module skin and a second-module spar, each comprising a second thermoplastic polymer and a second reinforcement material. The system further comprises a first support, positioned at a field location and configured to receive the first blade module, and a second support, positioned at the field location and configured to receive the second blade module. The system also comprises a spar welding assembly, positioned at the field location and configured to join the first-module spar with the second-module spar.
Method for connecting components, one of which is made of a fiber-reinforced plastic
A method and a connecting element for joining two components, at least one of which is made of a fiber-reinforced composite, are proposed.
Method for producing polymer tube containing liquid and being sealed at constant intervals and apparatus for producing polymer tube
Provided are a method and an apparatus for extruding into a tube and filling the tube at a high speed and simultaneously sealing the tube. Specifically provided is a method for producing a polymer tube, containing a liquid therein and being sealed at constant intervals, the method including an extrusion step of continuously melt-extruding a polymer material through a die into at least one tube, while feeding a liquid into the tube to obtain at least one liquid-containing tube; and sealing step of discontinuously pressing the at least one liquid-containing tube between a pair of pressurizing members at constant intervals to cause pressure-bonding before the tube solidifies, while continuously taking up the extruded tube.
