Agricultural Harvester and a Dust Extractor for the Agricultural Harvester
A dust management system for an agricultural harvester includes a perforated tube extending transversely through a feeder housing of the harvester. The perforated tube has exhaust plenums at opposite ends directing any flow towards the ground over which an agricultural harvester operates. A longitudinal drive shaft mounts axial flow fans within the exhaust plenums and a drive shaft is driven through a pulley system so that rotation of the drive shaft induces flow through the perforated tube and out of the exhaust plenum.
Cooling systems and methods for an agricultural harvester
A cooling system for an agricultural vehicle includes a housing configured to support one or more cooling components, a debris conduit extending from the housing of the cooling system, a suction fan configured to rotate to apply negative airflow, and a valve configured to move between an open position in which the debris conduit is fluidly coupled to the suction fan and a closed position in which the debris conduit is isolated from the suction fan.
ASPIRATION SYSTEM FOR A WORK VEHICLE
In one aspect, an aspiration system for a work vehicle may include an exhaust tube extending defining an exhaust passage therein. The exhaust tube may include a venturi portion, with the exhaust tube further defining an aperture within the venturi portion of the exhaust tube. The system may also include an aspiration tube configured to be coupled between the exhaust tube and a separate component of the work vehicle. The aspiration tube may define an aspiration passage extending between the separate component and the exhaust tube. The aperture defined by the exhaust tube may fluidly couple the aspiration passage and the exhaust passage. Furthermore, the system may include a restrictor body positioned within the exhaust passage. As such, the restrictor body and the venturi portion may be configured to adjust a flow parameter of exhaust gases flowing through the exhaust passage.
Airflow for an agricultural harvesting combine
An engine cooling system for an engine carried by a grain harvesting combine having an internal combustion engine and hot exhaust components, and having a front operator cab includes a generally horizontal fan assembly located atop the harvesting combine for drawing in air, a radiator associated with the engine and over which air flows for engine cooling, and charge air coolers for combustion air cooling, and air conditioning and hydraulic coolers, a centrifugal scroll that takes the drawn in air and removes entrained particles to produce a clean exhaust air and dirty exhaust air; and a filter assembly through which the pre-cleaned exhaust air flows for producing filtered air for admittance into the engine for combustion.

A combine including an engine for propelling the combine, a feeder housing for receiving cut crop, a separating system for threshing the cut crop to produce grain and residue, a residue chopper for chopping the residue, and a controller. The controller is configured to estimate risk factors that correlate to a risk of fire in the engine due to airborne particles created by at least one of the cut crop, the separating system or the residue chopper, estimate a fire risk based on the risk factors, and implement corrective action based on the estimated fire risk.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING THE FLOW ORIENTATION OF AN AIR FLOW EXHAUSTED FROM AN AGRICULTURAL HARVESTER
A system for adjusting the flow orientation of an air flow exhausted at a flow exit location defined along an exterior of an agricultural harvester. The harvester includes an engine upstream of the flow exit location. The system includes a harvester body extending around at least a portion of the exterior of the harvester and defining an opening at the flow exit location; a louvered panel positioned within the opening, the louvered panel including a plurality of louvers each pivotable about a respective pivot axis; and an actuator coupled to the louvers and configured to actuate the louvers such that each louver pivots to adjust a tilt angle of the louver. The air flow is directed through the louvered panel after flowing past the engine and is exhausted from the harvester at a flow angle corresponding to the tilt angle of each of the plurality of louvers.

An articulated harvesting combine includes of a forward power processing unit (PPU, 12) and a rear grain cart (14), wherein the PPU carries dual axially mounted engines (36 and 38) with oppositely opposed crankshafts (100 and 102) with one toward the rear grain cart and the other engine away from the rear grain cart, wherein the dual engines share a common radiator, single air conditioning condenser, single alternator, common batteries, common fuel tank and exhaust fluid tank; but have separate hot exhaust treatment system, separate hot exhaust manifolds, and separate side-mounted charge air coolers.
