Digital Origin Tag and System of Use
20220132800 · 2022-05-05 ·

A system for recording and tracking the processing of an object, such as a killed game animal, or other kind of object. An origin tag has a unique identifier and is attached to the object to be documented and recorded. A database maintains a central registry of the unique identifiers that have been issued on origin tags. The identifiers are disbursed to separate mobile devices, typically smart phones, allowing the user to update information to specific origin tags, without having an Internet connection to the central registry. The data stored on the separate mobile devices are integrated into the central registry, so as to create a complete registry of the unique identifiers, along with the updated information recorded for each of those identifiers

ELECTRONIC ANIMAL TAG READER

A reader comprising: a panel; two antennae each associated with a respective race to transmit and/or receive information to/from an electronic animal tag in that respective race; and an electromagnetic shield to impede an antenna from transmitting and/or receiving information to/from an electronic animal tag not located in the respective race of that antenna; a system for reading electronic animal tags comprising: a plurality of readers each located at or near a wall of a respective plurality of races, wherein each reader is at least partially shielded by an electromagnetic shield; each reader being longitudinally offset with respect to at least one other reader in the plurality of readers; and methods of constructing and using a reader.

The present disclosure provides tracking systems and methods. One such method comprises generating a continuous wave signal over a frequency range; applying the continuous wave signal to a reading coil element that is electromagnetically coupled to a sensor array, wherein the sensor array comprises a plurality of sensing resonators tuned at different resonance frequencies, where an output frequency response of the sensor array varies as a function of a location of a target object or a shape of the target object within a coverage area of the sensor array; acquiring frequency spectrum data showing changes in the output frequency response of the sensor array from the reading coil element; and predicting, by a control unit device using machine learning, a location of the target object within the coverage area or a behavior of the target object based on the acquired frequency spectrum data. Other methods and systems are also provided.

ELECTRONIC ANIMAL IDENTIFICATION TAG READER SYNCHRONISATION

Approaches for synchronising electronic animal identification tag readers for reading electronic animal identification tags attached to animals Embodiments include using a pulse from a GNSS receiver, adjusting for an error between a reference cadence signal and a local cadence signal, and using a synchronisation signal.

A System And Method For Efficient Animal Monitoring Device Power Consumption Management
20230244291 · 2023-08-03 ·

A system, comprising: a sensing mechanism comprising one or more sensors having a plurality of Operation Modes (OMs), each having respective power consumption ranges; a power source; and a processing circuitry configured to: cause activation of the sensing mechanism at a first OM of the OMs to obtain a plurality of first readings from the sensors over a first period of time; analyze the first readings to determine a Behavioral State (BS) of the subject; based on the BS, cause activation of the sensing mechanism at a second OM of the OMs to obtain a plurality of second readings from the sensors over a second period of time, the second OM having a higher power consumption range than the first OM; and analyze the second readings to determine a first sub-behavioral state of the subject being a sub-behavioral state of a group of predetermined sub-behavioral states associated with the BS.

A Device Assignment System And Method

A tag assignment system, comprising a processing circuitry and being communicatively connected to a data repository comprising records, each of which (i) being associated with a respective distinct animal of a plurality of animals, and (ii) including a Unique Animal Identifier (UAI) associated with the respective distinct animal; the processing circuitry is configured to: substantially simultaneously: (i) obtain an ID reading of an animal identification tag attached to a given animal of the animals from a first tag reading device, wherein the ID reading including the UAI uniquely identifying the given animal, and (ii) obtain a tag reading of a second tag attached to the given animal from a second tag reading device, the tag reading including tag identification information uniquely identifying the second tag; and cause update of the data repository to assign the tag identification information to a given record of the records associated with the UAI.

DETERMINING THE LOCATION OF AN ANIMAL

Approaches for determining a location of an animal based on RSSI. An embodiment includes a method, comprising: receiving a first reading of an electronic animal identification tag attached to an animal from a first electronic tag reader; calculating a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) for the first reading; and determining a location of the animal based on the RSSI.
