METHOD OF CONNECTING A FIRST CABLE TO A SECOND CABLE, CABLE ARRANGEMENT, AND CABLE CONNECTION DEVICE FOR CONNECTING A FIRST CABLE TO A SECOND CABLE
A method for connecting a first cable to a second cable with an adhesive tape to form a cable chain includes: arranging a free end region of the first cable parallel to and spaced from a first end region of the second cable; providing the adhesive tape folded in its longitudinal direction to form opening tabs at its first and opposite second ends with an adhesively coated side of the adhesive tape partially adhering to itself; and enclosing a part of the first cable free end region and a part of the second cable first end region with the adhesive tape such that the first cable free end region has a greater distance from the first adhesive tape end and the second adhesive tape end than the second cable first end region and is detachably connected to the second cable first end region.
TAPE APPLICATOR ASSEMBLY AND TAPE ASSEMBLY
A tape applicator assembly for securing tape to a surface includes a body and may include a centering and locking assembly configured to automatically center and lock a tape assembly within the body for dispensing. The tape applicator assembly may further be configured for securing tape to at least one cable and a surface, wherein the body includes a tape-receiving cavity defined for receiving a tape assembly having tape with a tape center longitudinal axis. A tape applying assembly may be defined within the body that is configured to adhere the tape to both the at least one cable and the surface. A cable alignment assembly may also be defined within the body that is configured to receive at least one cable positioned against the surface and substantially align the at least one cable with the tape center longitudinal axis.

METHOD OF REPAIRING A COMPOSITE MATERIAL
A method of repairing damage to a composite material having a composite substrate and at least one layer of shielding material includes: a) removing damage to the at least one layer of shielding material by creating a hole in the at least one layer of shielding material; b) applying a patch of shielding material in the region of the hole via a resin, wherein a ratio of a resin weight to a weight of the patch of shielding material lies in a range between about 0.45-0.55; and c) curing the resin, wherein an absorptive, consumable material is positioned in contact with the resin during at least a portion of the curing.
ROLLED CONNECTING SYSTEMS FOR ADJACENT ENDS OF INSULATION TUBING
A rolled connection system for adjacent ends of insulated tubing sections having a substrate roll of continuous release liner. Pressure sensitive transfer adhesive material members configured to conform with the ends of insulated tubing sections to be joined are spaced at selected distances from each other along the length of the continuous release liner. A second release liner covers each pressure sensitive adhesive material member and includes a tab to facilitate removal of the second release liner from the adhesive material members to facilitate joining juxtaposed face portion of the ends of the insulated tubing to be connected.
Method of producing motor vehicles and tool suitable therefor
A method of producing vehicles includes coating a vehicle body with paint, drying the paint, mounting attachment parts on load-bearing components of the vehicle body that has been coated with the paint that has been dried, and applying an adhesive film including an adhesive layer to a surface of the vehicle body that has been coated with the paint that has been dried or at least one attachment part mounted thereon, wherein, to apply the adhesive film, the adhesive film is positioned between the surface and an elastic membrane with an automated system, and the elastic membrane is transformed in selected regions into a curved state with a convex and a concave side and is brought into contact with the surface with the convex side in front such that the adhesive layer of the adhesive film is pressed onto the surface by the membrane over the entire surface area.
Ergonomic Adhesive Noodle Applicator
Apparatus and methods for manually applying flexible noodles (e.g., noodles made of adhesive material) to a workpiece (e.g., a composite part) during production or construction. The noodle is fed out over a series of upright rolls and rollers to the target area. Those rolls and rollers are rotatably coupled to a platform that is designed to be worn on the forearm of the operator. In accordance with one example, the noodle applicator comprising an ergonomic handle and an ergonomic forearm brace that are positioned and attached to the platform to allow the weight of the platform to be centered higher up the forearm, protecting the wrist. The direction of application is in-line with the forearm of the operator, decreasing the strain involved.
ADHESIVE DISPENSER AND A SHEATH-CONNECTION DEVICE INCLUDING SUCH A DISPENSER
The invention relates to an adhesive dispenser comprising: a platform; an unwinder reel pivotally mounted on the platform and designed to carry a roll of adhesive; a separator member (9) for separating adhesive from the roll of adhesive, the separator member being arranged on the platform; the adhesive dispenser comprising at least one embossing roller (18) arranged on the platform between the unwinder reel and the separator member so that, in operation, it embosses the adhesive tape (3) being unwound from the roll of adhesive before it reaches the separator member.
The invention also relates to a device for connecting together two flattened tubular sheaths including such an adhesive dispenser.
INDUCTION HEATING SEALING DEVICE
An induction heating sealing device (30) for sealing a packaging material comprises an electrically conductive layer and advancing, in use, along a first direction (A), said induction heating sealing device (30) comprising an inductive element (100), said inductive element (100) comprising a first leg (31) and a second leg (32) extending along said first direction (A) and within which, in use, an alternate current flows, said first leg (31) having a first body (33) facing a second body (34) of said second leg (32) and at least one projection (35) laterally projecting from said first body (33) and facing, in use, an area (53) of said packaging material to be sealed and being configured to induce, in use, an eddy current within said area (53).
Tape dispenser with improved wetting system
Tape dispensers with an improved wetting system are disclosed. The tape dispensers include a holder for a roll of liquid-activatable tape, a wetting system that has a reservoir of liquid and a roller having an absorbable outer surface to absorb and dispense liquid, and a manually operated feeding mechanism. The roller is at least partially immersed in the reservoir of liquid and the wetting system includes a roller adjustment mechanism to simultaneously adjust an upward force applied by the roller to the liquid activated tape and an immersion depth of the roller into the reservoir of liquid. The wetting system may also include a pressure mechanism to adjust a downward force applied to the liquid activated tape as it passes over the roller.
