An example method of joining a first structure and a second structure is described that includes placing an adhesive within a bond cavity for bonding a first structure to a second structure, securing a vacuum bag to the first structure and the second structure so as to surround a portion of the first structure and the second structure, evacuating the bond cavity via a vacuum port to deaerate the adhesive within the bond cavity, after deaerating the adhesive, moving the first structure and the second structure relative to one another such that deaerated adhesive is disposed between the first structure and the second structure, and curing, via one or more heaters, the deaerated adhesive disposed between the first structure and the second structure to bond the first structure to the second structure.

Method of Integral Hot-Melt Adhesion of a Bicycle Saddle
20220168966 · 2022-06-02 ·

A method of integral hot-melt adhesion of a bicycle saddle contains steps of: a) providing material; b) putting the material into at least one mold; c) inserting a heating plate; d) melting; e) removing the heating plate; f) hot-melting adhesion; and g) taking out. Thereby, the body includes the rubber shell, the flexible layer, and the covering layer. The rubber shell is connected with the support shell by a hot-melting manner so that a peripheral side of the covering layer is bent to and is connected on the bottom of the rubber shell, thus obtaining a security, a smooth appearance, a moisture-proof purpose, a waterproof purpose, a shock absorption, a heat dissipation, an easy cleaning, and a low fabrication cost.

End effectors and methods for adhesively attaching a first part to a second part

An end effector, for adhesively attaching a first part to a second part, comprises a support and a first nozzle, coupled to the support and movable relative to the support, and a second nozzle, coupled to the support and movable relative to the support. The first nozzle comprises a first-nozzle body, comprising a first-nozzle-body outlet port and a first-nozzle separator plate, extending from the first-nozzle body. The second nozzle comprises a second-nozzle body, comprising a second-nozzle-body inlet port and a second-nozzle separator plate, extending from the second-nozzle body. The end effector further comprises a roller, coupled to the support, rotatable relative to the support about a roller axis, and located between the first nozzle and the second nozzle.

Provided is a method for fixing particles on a two-dimensional filter medium with open pores. The particles are to be fixed on the upper side of the filter medium. The method involves contacting the particles with an adhesive solution from the lower side of the filter medium through the pores. The method makes it possible to fix particles in a simple and inexpensive manner to the filter medium, such that subsequent microscopic or SEM/EDX investigation is impaired as little as possible.

Adhesive injection method and structure

An adhesive injection method is for injecting an adhesive that bonds an outer plate and a reinforcing member. The reinforcing member has through holes bored through the reinforcing member in a direction intersecting a bonding surface facing the outer plate. The method includes positioning the outer plate and the reinforcing member; disposing a sealing material covering a gap between the outer plate and the reinforcing member; and injecting the adhesive into the through holes in order from one end to the other end of the bonding surface. At the injecting, while the adhesive is injected into the through hole, when the adhesive is recognized through another through hole formed adjacent to the through hole into which the adhesive is being injected, a through hole into which the adhesive is to be injected is shifted from the through hole into which the adhesive is being injected to the other through hole.
