Method for Manufacturing a Brush
A method for manufacturing a toothbrush having a bristle carrier made of a thermoplastic material with a front side and a rear side is provided. At least one recess formed as a blind hole in the bristle carrier extends from the front side in the bristle carrier, and holds at least one bristle. The at least one bristle is received in a receiving opening of a tool melted to form a thickening at its attachment-side end and inserted with its attachment-side end into the recess. The thermoplastic material is heated and, by pressing the tool against the front side of the bristle carrier, is deformed such that the thermoplastic material is displaced radially inwards into the recess, at least in the region of an edge surrounding the recess, for the form-fitting sealing of the thickening, in that a projection provided radially adjacent to the recess is pressed into the thermoplastic material.

A brush product, in particular a toothbrush, having a base body with a head part with a front and a rear side, which includes a bristle carrier with a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis and a bristle field protruding therefrom, wherein the bristle field is formed by at least one group of cleaning elements; a handle part; and a neck part connecting the head part and the handle part; wherein the bristle carrier is provided with bristles which are mounted without being anchored and wherein the bristle carrier includes substantially a central support area, an upper support area, a lower support area, a right support area and a left support area, in which the groups of cleaning elements are arranged. Also, a corresponding method and tool.
Tensile capacity electrofusion pipeline systems and methods
Techniques for implementing a pipeline system that includes a pipe segment and a pipe fitting. The pipe segment includes tubing, which includes an inner barrier layer that defines a pipe bore, a reinforcement layer implemented around the inner barrier layer to define a fluid conduit, and an outer barrier layer implemented around the reinforcement layer, and a tensile clip secured to the tubing such that clip legs of the tensile clip are secured around the reinforcement layer. The pipe fitting includes electrofusion material implemented to define a fitting bore and a tubing cavity in which the tubing is to be secured and a tensile hook partially embedded within the electrofusion material such that a hook bend extends into the tubing cavity, in which the hook bend matingly interlock with a loop end of the tensile clip to facilitate transferring tensile force between the reinforcement layer and the pipe fitting.
Ledge forming system for producing a conjunct nozzle
A novel ledge forming system used to attach a polymer retention hub to a thin wall nozzle core to provide an efficient way to produce a conjunct nozzle. The inventive apparatus provides a means for assembly of components by a method involving use of a press with a heating element to elevate temperature of a thermoplastic polymer to permit formation of a ledge that overhangs the flange of a nozzle core, mechanically locking components together. Execution of the process is rapid, low cost and eliminates damage to the thin wall of the core that would occur if the polymer retention hub were molded around the nozzle core.
Method for connecting two components, and component arrangement
A method for the connection of a first component to a second component includes providing a first component which has a projection with an undercut, and providing a second component which has a cavity. The method also includes introducing a sealing and/or connecting material into the cavity of the second component, and joining the first component and the second component together to form a component arrangement. The projection of the first component projects, in the joined state, into the cavity of the second component.
Welding device and welding method
The welding chip heats and melts the first welded part and the second welded part, and includes a projected part, a first extension part, and a second extension part. The projected part has a tubular shape with a bottom. One end of the tubular shape extending in a predetermined direction opens and the other end of the tubular shape is closed. The projected part is pushed into the first welded part and the second welded part in the predetermined direction from the opening one end of the tubular shape. The first extension part has a shape extending from a tube outer surface of the projected part and extending annularly around the predetermined direction. The second extension part has a shape extending from the first extension part to the opening one end of the projected part in the predetermined direction and extending annularly around the predetermined direction.
Device for coupling a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe, and production method therefor
A fluid-transfer coupling device designed to couple a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe and to the production method therefor. The device includes a sleeve for gripping around the pipe and locking the endpiece, the sleeve having a radially inner part surrounding an annular sealing lining mounted in abutment on the endpiece; and a metal socket having a tubular portion gripped by the pipe and ending in a collar formed by a radial step which extends in an axial end and has a radial height, the axial end being mounted inside and in contact with the radially inner part and forming the base of a groove receiving the lining, the device comprising means for fitting the sleeve to the collar and comprising a continuous peripheral projection formed in one piece with the sleeve. According to the invention the projection projects radially in abutment against the step aver most of the radial height.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
Methods of bonding a first object to a second object, including the steps of: providing the second object having a protrusion; providing the first object having a thermoplastic material; positioning the first object relative to the second object such that an assembly of the first and the second object is formed; applying a relative force between the second and first objects and applying mechanical vibration to the assembly of the first and the second object until at least a flow portion of the thermoplastic material becomes flowable and flows around the protrusion; and causing the thermoplastic material to re-solidify. The first object may be a connecting element including a feedthrough, wherein the second object has a corresponding opening. The protrusion may be deformed such that the protrusion has an undercut relative to an axis along which the first and second objects are pressed against each other.
Bonding objects together
A profile body of a not liquefiable material is used as a connecting element between a first object and a second object. The profile body may especially be metallic and/or may be bendable. The profile body, in contrast to a conventional wire, however, has a shape defining a first and a second undercut. The method includes embedding the profile body in the second object so that the second undercut is within material of the second object, and embedding the profile body within material of the first object so that the first undercut is within the first object, and wherein at least embedding of the profile body in the first object is caused by mechanical energy impinging on the first object and/or on the second object while the first object and the second object are pressed against each other.
Joining device
A joining device includes: a holding portion that holds a shaft portion of a metal member, and that pushes the metal member toward one side in an axial direction of the shaft portion; a supporting portion that supports a thermoplastic resin member; a heating portion that heats a surface at the one side in the axial direction of a distal end portion, which is provided at the one side in the axial direction of the shaft portion, to a melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin member; a sleeve portion that is provided at an outer peripheral side of the holding portion, that is disposed so as to overlap with the distal end portion; and an outer tube portion that is provided at an outer peripheral side of the sleeve portion, an end portion of the outer tube portion abutting a surface of the thermoplastic resin member.
