Agricultural work machine

An agricultural work machine, in particular a harvester, has a header for performing agricultural work and having a control device which has at least one sensor unit for detecting a crop stream in and/or around the header and an image processing unit for processing images which are generated by the sensor unit based on the crop stream detected via sensor. The control device is configured to detect regions of like characteristics, components of the header and properties of the crop stream and is configured to use that which has been detected for open loop control and/or closed loop control of process sequences in the agricultural work machine.

Draper header with flexible crop cutting knife

A crop harvesting header having a frame mounted on a propulsion vehicle has a cutter bar carrying a sickle knife and a draper transport. The draper is guided at its front edge by a longitudinally extending rail mounted on the frame for movement therewith. The cutter bar is mounted on the frame at spaced positions by spring blades attached to a fixed beam at the rear which allow up and down flexing movement of the cutter bar relative to the draper engagement member. At the center discharge the cutter bar is carried on shorter blades which are carried on a beam in front of the front draper roller. The small amount of flexing of the cutter bar combines with a balanced three piece header frame to provide effective ground following.

Dual sickle knife drive with variable phase angle

A sickle cutting system is mounted on a header for forward travel over ground having a standing crop thereon and includes a cutter bar with a plurality of knife guards and two sickle bars driven at a phase angle difference where the drive system has a phase difference control component operable to drive the first and second sickle bars at a first phase angle difference typically at or around 180 degrees difference to minimize vibration when no cutting action is occurring and at a second phase angle difference which can be at or around 90 degrees to minimize variations in loading applied to the drive system when the cutting action is taking place.

Agricultural harvesting machine

An agricultural harvesting machine has a cutting apparatus formed as a header for cutting and picking up crop of a crop stand, an inclined conveyor downstream of the cutting apparatus and in which a temporal layer height flow is adjusted, and a driver assistance system for controlling the cutting apparatus. The driver assistance system has a computing device and a sensor arrangement with a crop sensor system for generating crop parameters of the crop stand and a layer height sensor for generating the temporal layer height flow. The computing device simultaneously generates the cutting apparatus parameters of the cutting table length, horizontal reel position and vertical reel position so as to be adapted to one another and conveys them to the cutting apparatus to implement a harvesting process strategy in ongoing harvesting operation.

Methods and imaging systems for harvesting

Described herein are methods and harvesters for adjusting settings of a harvester. In one embodiment, a computer Implemented method includes capturing, with at least one image capture device that is located on the harvester, images of a field view of an unharvested region to be harvested, analyzing the captured images to determine crop information for a crop of a harvested region that is adjacent to the unharvested region, and adjusting settings or operating parameters of the harvester for the unharvested region based on the crop information for the crop of the harvested region.

Piston lock system for agricultural equipment

A piston lock system having first and second cylinders, first and second pistons telescopically connected to the cylinders, and first and second piston locks. The piston locks are movable in a transverse direction within a planar region between the cylinders, between unlocked positions in which the piston locks are not located between the free ends of the cylinders and the free ends of the piston, and locked positions in which the piston locks are located between the free cylinder ends and the free piston ends. A control link is operatively connected to the piston locks, and configured to simultaneously move the piston locks between the locked and unlocked positions.

AGRICULTURAL TOOLS FOR ASSISTING IN THE HARVESTING OF CROPS

Embodiments of snout extension agricultural tools for combine heads are disclosed. Said tools assist in harvesting of crops in order to maximize yield of crops and downed crops.

FEEDER HOUSING WITH INDEPENDENTLY DRIVEN ROCK BEATER

A feeder housing for an agricultural harvester includes: a housing; a conveyor system disposed in the housing, the conveyor system including a drive shaft, at least one drive loop coupled to the drive shaft such that rotation of the drive shaft causes rotation of the at least one drive loop, and a plurality of crop grabbers coupled to the at least one drive loop; a rock beater disposed in the housing and including a rotatable beater roll and at least one fin carried by the beater roll; and a motor coupled to the beater roll and configured to rotate the beater roll. The motor is an electrically powered motor or a hydraulically powered motor. The motor is coupled to the beater roll such that the motor is configured to rotate the beater roll without rotating the drive shaft.
