A method of making a wind turbine blade (10) having a shear web (20, 22) bonded between first and second half shells (16, 18) is described. The method involves providing a web locator (40) on an inner surface of a half shell. The web locator has a fixed portion (42) and a spring portion (44) extending from the fixed portion. The spring portion is moveable relative to the fixed portion between compressed and relaxed states.

INDUCTION CONNECTION SLEEVE

An induction connection sleeve for fusion joining of plastic pipes includes a sleeve body having a first and a second receiving portion for receiving first and second connection portions of the plastic pipes to be connected, a first induction heating element and a second induction heating element. The sleeve body includes an inner part, which inner part forms the two receiving portions and on which the induction heating elements are accommodated in such a way that the recesses of the induction heating elements are penetrated by the inner part and are flush at their outer lateral surfaces with the inner part in the area of the induction heating elements. The sleeve body further includes an outer part which is connected to the inner part in a bonded manner and surrounds the outer lateral surfaces of the induction heating elements.

METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR JOINING A COVER LAYER TO AN OBJECT
20210162675 · 2021-06-03 ·

A cover layer is joined to an object by a pressing force and mechanical vibration. The cover layer has a cover layer contact surface, and the object has an object contact surface, and the cover layer contact surface and the object contact surface face each other. At least one of the cover layer and the object include a joining material. The cover layer contact surface is brought into contact with the object contact surface, and a sonotrode presses the cover layer against the object and applies mechanical vibration to an outer surface of the cover layer for a time sufficient for activating the joining material. Cover layer and object are conveyed relative to the sonotrode in a continuous manner in a conveying direction throughout the steps of arranging, of bringing into contact, of pressing and of applying vibration.

Modular blade structure and method of assembly

The present disclosure is directed to a method of assembly of a rotor blade for a wind turbine. The method includes placing a first rotor blade section onto a first set location of an assembly fixture, wherein the first rotor blade includes a first locating datum such that the assembly fixture at the first set location constrains movement of the first rotor blade section at the first locating datum along a first direction; placing the first rotor blade section onto a second set location of the assembly fixture, wherein the first rotor blade includes a second locating datum such that the assembly fixture at the second set location constrains movement of the first rotor blade section at the second locating datum along a second direction; and positioning a second rotor blade section onto the first rotor blade section within the assembly fixture.

Systems and methods of calibrating operating parameters of negative pressure wound therapy apparatuses

Systems and methods for controlling and/or calibrating a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes calculating an amplitude and an offset for a drive signal based at least in part on previously calculated parameters and a negative pressure setting, generating the drive signal, and applying the drive signal to a pump system. The pump system can be fludicially connected to a wound dressing positioned over a wound.

Method that forms pattern on fabric member and fixes pattern on trim

A method can be used to attach a fabric member to a trim while forming a pattern in the fabric member. A trim has trim grooves formed in one side of the trim and a fabric member has a foam formed in one side of a skin material of the fabric member. A bonding member is coated to an outer surface of the foam and the fabric member is heated where the bonding member is coated. The heated fabric member is placed on the side of the trim where the trim grooves are formed. The fabric member is fixed to the trim by inserting edges of the fabric member into the trim grooves using insertion blades while pattern protrusions formed in a compression jig form a pattern by pressing the skin material of the fabric member.

STATUS INDICATION FOR NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY

Systems and methods for controlling a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes causing provision of negative pressure, via a flow path, to a wound dressing configured to be positioned over a wound, the flow path configured to fluidically connect the pump system to the wound dressing, measuring a first pressure value in the flow path at a first time, measuring a second pressure value in the flow path at a second time, calculating a first rate of pressure change using the first and second pressure values, and in response to determining that the calculated first rate of pressure change satisfies a threshold rate of change, providing an indication that the wound dressing is full, wherein the method is performed under control of a controller of the pump system.

MOLDED RESIN PRODUCT

A molded resin product includes a design layer including a decorative layer having a first color, a shielding layer having a second color different from the first color, and a resin base layer. A cover layer formed of a polymer film is disposed close to one end of the design layer. Part of the decorative layer exposed from the shielding layer serves as an exposed region. The exposed region and part of the shielding layer constitute a pattern portion presenting a predetermined figure or character when viewed in plan through the cover layer. The rest of the shielding layer constitutes a base portion. The layer thickness of the base portion is set smaller than the layer thickness of the pattern portion in a region thereof where the shielding layer is formed.
