A heat-curable tape, a kit, and a method for connecting ends of an elongate belt to form an intermediate transfer members suitable for use with indirect printing systems. The kit includes an elongate belt and the heat-curable tape. The kit can include a crimping pin. The method includes using the heat curable tape to join ends of the elongate belt at a seam. A heater is used, in a printing system, for heat-curing the heat-curable tape onto the free ends of the elongate belt so as to form the intermediate transfer member.

A method and apparatus for reworking a structure. A compaction blanket comprising a number of magnets is placed on the structure. A heat source is applied on the compaction blanket, wherein the compaction blanket is between the heat source and a rework of the structure and heat is conducted from the heat source through the compaction blanket to heat the rework.

A method of composite part manufacturing includes inserting a tooling pin of a magnet into a ply charge. The method also includes coupling the ply charge to a tool using the magnet and a second magnet of the tool. The magnet positions the ply charge on the tool. The tooling pin provides a retaining force to resist movement of the ply charge. The method further includes applying resin to the ply charge and curing the resin to form a cured composite material.

In an embodiment a transfer tool includes an adhesive stamp having an adhesive surface configured to pick up a semiconductor chip and a device configured to adjust a surface area of the adhesive surface, wherein the adhesive stamp is deformable, wherein the adhesive surface is formed by a part of an outer surface of the adhesive stamp, wherein the surface area of the adhesive surface is adjustable by deformation of the adhesive stamp, and wherein the adhesive surface is free of interruptions.
