System and method for sealing a plastic enclosure
A method and apparatus for sealing a plastic enclosure is provided. The apparatus includes a handle including elements pivotally coupled together at a first end. The apparatus also includes a pair of spaced apart heating elements positioned along an inner surface of an element and connected to a power source where a longitudinal axis of the heating elements is oriented parallel with a longitudinal axis of the element. Plastic material including first and second plastic layers is positioned at an interface between the second elements. Upon pivoting the first elements from an open position to a closed position the heating elements increase a temperature at the interface to melt the plastic material and form a pair of spaced apart seals between the first and second plastic layers.
EXCLUSION DEVICE APPLICATION INSTRUMENTS AND RELATED METHODS
Exclusion devices for anatomical structures, and related instruments and related methods, are disclosed. An application instrument for an exclusion device may include an end effector including a head configured to be disposed distally on a shaft, a stationary jaw fixedly disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a first clamping portion of an exclusion device, the exclusion device being biased in a closing direction, and a movable jaw movably disposed on the head and configured to releasably couple to a second clamping portion of the exclusion device. The movable jaw may be movable relative to the stationary jaw to reconfigure the exclusion device from a closed configuration to an open configuration. The movable jaw may be oriented generally parallel to the stationary jaw when the exclusion device is in the open configuration and the closed configuration.
EXCLUSION DEVICE COVERS AND RELATED METHODS
Exclusion devices for anatomical structures, and related instruments and related methods, are disclosed. An exclusion device may include a first clamping portion, a second clamping portion opposing the first clamping portion, and/or a biocompatible fabric cover at least partially sheathing the first clamping portion and/or the second clamping portion. The cover may be generally tubular and/or may define a relaxed circumference when the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion are in a closed configuration. At least a portion of the cover may be configured to stretch to a stretched circumference of about 2× to about 3× the relaxed circumference when the first clamping portion and the second clamping portion are reconfigured from the closed configuration to an open configuration.
EXCLUSION DEVICE BEAMS AND RELATED METHODS
Exclusion devices for anatomical structures, and related instruments and related methods, are disclosed. An exclusion device for an anatomical structure may include a first beam, a second beam, and/or at least one spring operatively coupled to the first beam and the second beam to exert a closing force on the first beam and the second beam and bias the first beam and the second beam in a closing direction. The spring may be operatively coupled to the first beam by a crimp connection.
CONTINUOUS MOTION IMPULSE HEAT SEALING OF FILM MATERIAL
A sealing system for heat sealing superimposed walls of heat-sealable film material, e.g. in the production of pouches. The sealing section comprises two or more sealing stations arranged in series along a linear path for the superimposed walls dispensed from an infeed section. Each sealing station comprises a sealing device with first and second jaws and an actuator device to move the jaws between an opened position and a clamped position. Each sealing device comprises a motion device that is configured to move the first and second jaws in synchronicity with the superimposed walls when clamped between the first and second jaws. Each sealing station has a cooling device that is configured to continuously cool at least one of the jaws. At least each first jaw comprises at the respective front surface thereof at least one impulse heatable member embodied as a susceptor element that extends along the respective front surface. Each sealing station is configured to perform an integrated impulse sealing and cooling cycle.
CONTINUOUS SEALING MACHINE FOR TWO PLASTIC FILMS
The Continuous Sealing Machine for two plastic films performs continuous sealing of two films, a tubular with gussets and a plastic film, folds the gussets of the new compartment and as a result two compartment rolls are obtained, both compartments with gussets. This high performance machine provides the means for a modernization of the plastics industry. It is a machine on a main structure consisting of: Unwinders Outriggers Edge aligners Pulling roller systems Antistatic bars Antistatic bars Special device Motors with gearbox coupled to gearbox Automatic brakes Electromagnetic clutches continuous sealers Bellows former Camshaft sealers Front puller roll pitch motor Winding rods, foil positioning systems. It is part of the plastic industry machines together with extruders, printers, sealers, trimmers, raw material mixers and stencil assembly machines.
PRODUCTION OF COLLAPSIBLE POUCHES HAVING A FITMENT
A production machine for the production of collapsible pouches having a fitment. The machine has a fitment sealing station with an impulse sealing device comprising a first jaw and a second jaw and with an actuator device configured to move the first and second jaws relative to one another between an opened position and a clamped position, as well as a cooling device configured to cool each of the first and second jaws. The fitment sealing station is configured to perform an impulse sealing cycle.
MATERIAL WELDER
A material welder for welding at least two portions of a weldable material together, including: a top bar assembly and a bottom bar assembly, a portion of the top bar assembly directly above a portion of the bottom bar assembly, the top bar assembly including a first and second heating element substantially in the same plane and the bottom bar assembly including a first and second heating element substantially in the same plane, at least one heating device adapted to selectively heat the first heating elements and/or second heating elements, an actuator device adapted to move the top bar assembly towards the bottom bar assembly and/or the bottom bar assembly towards the top bar assembly, such that the first heating element of the top bar assembly aligns with the first heating element of the bottom bar assembly and the second heating element of the top bar assembly aligns with the second heating element of the bottom bar assembly; a contact surface of the top bar assembly and a contact surface of the bottom bar assembly adapted to contact the material during a welding process.
Impulse welding bar with non-stick coating
An impulse welding bar (10) for welding plastics films is provided with a detachable non-stick coating (20) which is held on lateral flanks (24) of the impulse welding bar (10). In order to facilitate the replacement of a worn non-stick coating (20), retaining elements (22) are provided which are made of two or more parts and which act in a form-fitting manner in order to detachably fasten the non-stick coating (20) to both flanks (24) of the impulse welding bar (10), wherein first parts (26) of the retaining elements (22) are arranged on the flanks (24) of the impulse welding bar (10) and second parts (36) of the retaining elements (22) are arranged on the non-stick coating (20).
