METHODS AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POLYMER-METAL HYBRID COMPONENTS BONDED BY C-O-M BONDS
Methods of producing polymer-metal hybrid components that are bonded by C—O-M bonds at the interface using at least one of the hot pressing, rolling, and injection molding methods to create chemical bond formation conditions at the polymer and metal interface. When the thermal cycle and compressive pressure specified herein is combinationally created at the polymer and metal interfaced, strong C—O-M bonds forms at the interface and strongly bonds the metal and polymer together through the reaction carbonyl groups (C═O) in polymer and the metal surface. For polymers lacking enough carbonyl groups, new functional groups can be in-situ generation through introducing distributed air pockets at the polymer-metal interface for forming 3-dimensional distributed C—O-M bonds at the interface.
Method for producing a substrate adapter and substrate adapter for connecting to an electronic component
One aspect relates to a method for producing a substrate adapter for the connecting to an electronic component, including arranging at least one contacting material layer between at least one side of a carrier and a surface of a substrate such that the contacting material layer has at least one predetermined breaking point, and joining the carrier and the substrate to the contacting material layer. One aspect also relates to a substrate adapter for connecting to an electronic component.
Inherently secured aerogel composites
Embodiments of the present invention describe secured fiber-reinforced aerogels and laminate structures formed therefrom. In one embodiment a laminate comprises at least one fiber-reinforced aerogel layer adjacent to at least one layer of fiber containing material wherein fibers from said at least one fiber-reinforced aerogel layer are interlaced with fibers of said at least one fiber-containing material. In another embodiment a laminate comprises at least two adjacent fiber-reinforced aerogel layers wherein fibers from at least one fiber-reinforced aerogel layer are interlaced with fibers of an adjacent fiber-reinforced aerogel layer.
Connection of elements in motor vehicles
A system of connected elements for a motor vehicle includes: a first element which has at least one depression on a surface; a second element which is arranged on the first element in such a manner that a surface of the second element and the depression of the first element form a cavity; a filling opening which forms an access to the cavity; and an adhesive which at least partially fills the cavity and thereby adhesively bonds the first element to the second element.
Method for wrapping edge of composite board
Disclosed is an edge wrapping method for a composite board, the top board of the composite board surrounds the bottom board of the composite board, a part or all of the side of the top board is disposed with a connecting portion extending beyond the bottom board and extending outwardly; the adjacent portion of the connecting portion and the bottom board are heated, and then the connecting portion is folded toward the inner side of the composite board and the connecting portion is welded to the side of the bottom board. The connecting portion and the bottom board are heated, and the root portion of the connecting portion near one end of the bottom board and the position of the bottom board close to the connecting portion are heated to a molten state, and then, the connecting portion is folded, and the connecting portion and the bottom board are welded together, the production efficiency of the present invention is high, the automatic production is realized, and the product qualification rate is effectively improved.

SYSTEMS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THREE-DIMENSIONAL ARTICLES FROM FLEXIBLE COMPOSITE MATERIALS
The present disclosure encompasses three-dimensional articles comprising flexible-composite materials and methods of manufacturing said three-dimensional articles. More particularly, the present system relates to methods for manufacturing seamless three-dimensional-shaped articles usable for such finished products as airbags/inflatable structures, bags, shoes, and similar three-dimensional products. A preferred manufacturing process combines composite molding methods with specific precursor materials to form fiber-reinforced continuous shaped articles that are flexible and collapsible.
High temperature composite seal
A method of sealing a first component to a second component comprising the steps of locating at least one fiber reinforced polyimide resin layer against a first sealing surface on a first component and against a second sealing surface on a second component. At least one fiber reinforced polyimide resin layer is compressed against the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface prior to curing at least one fiber reinforced polyimide resin layer. At least one fiber reinforced polyimide resin layer is heated to promote flow and conformation to the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface. At least one fiber reinforced polyimide resin layer is cured to provide a fluid tight seal between the first component and the second component.
