The axes of the rollers of the conveyor are substantially parallel to the axes of the cutting rotors, the machine further comprising a collecting shield fastened to the belt conveyor and extending at least partially under the latter and towards the cutter bar while being adjacent to the latter, and a space forming a transverse conveying channel is provided above the collecting shield between the conveying surface of the belt and the cutter bar. The agricultural machine furthermore comprises an upper deflector extending above the cutter bar and above the conveying surface of the belt.

A fan is located in the fan housing to move the sugarcane mat through the fan housing and includes a motor, blades rotatably coupled to the motor, and a blade angle of incidence mechanism operatively connected to the blades, wherein the blade angle of incidence mechanism adjusts the angle of incidence of the blades with respect to the motor. Sensors identify an air flow through the fan housing or a load placed on the motor during movement of the sugarcane mat through the fan housing. The angle of incidence of the blades is adjusted based on one or both of the air flow through the fan housing or the load placed on the motor.

The fan is arranged on the same side as the first motor, and the fan is mounted on the protective shield through a second rotation shaft. Wherein, a rotation speed ratio between the second rotation shaft and the first rotation shaft ranges from 0.5 to 4. With the string trimmer of the disclosure, the rotation speed of the blade and the fan are different.
