METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUPERCHARGER COMPRESSOR HOUSING, AND SUPERCHARGER COMPRESSOR HOUSING
This invention provides: a method for manufacturing a supercharger compressor housing, in which a supercharger compressor housing is manufactured through at least a local heating step for locally heating an area to be heated, which is part of an abradable seal, and a mounting/fixing step for mounting and fixing the abradable seal to a mounting/fixing surface of a compressor housing main body, the locally heated area to be heated being inserted while being deformed into groove parts provided to the mounting/fixing surface in the mounting/fixing step; and a compressor housing created using this manufacturing method.
Tapping assembly and connecting device; container and method for beverage dispensing
Tapping assembly for a beverage, including container including a first and second container, wherein the first container has a neck portion and the second container is suspended in the first container, from the neck portion thereof. A neck region of the container is provided with at least one opening in a side wall thereof, preferably in a neck region of the first container, opening into a space between the first and second containers. The assembly further includes a connecting device, connected or connectable to the neck portion, wherein the connecting device includes at least one connecting element for connecting to the at least one opening, wherein the connecting element is connected to a source of pressurised gas.
Surface geometry for adhesive bonding of polymer components
A method of joining polymer components includes additively manufacturing first and second mating features on first and second polymer components such that a mechanical lock is created through undercut geometric features of an adhesive material when the polymer components are joined. Adhesive is added between the mating components to strengthen the joint.
MULTI-MATERIAL ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF MAKING THERE OF
A multi-material assembly is provided, as well as methods of making a multi-material assembly. The multi-material assembly includes a first coated structural component and a second structural component. The first coated structural component includes a first uncoated portion, and an adhesive is positioned between the second structural component and the first uncoated portion that secures the first coated structural component to the second structural component.
Ultrasonic weld joint with integral flash trap
An enclosure for an electronic device includes a housing having wall defining a cavity that is configured to receive an electronic assembly therein. The wall includes a plurality of housing steps formed in an interior surface. A cap includes a side surface extending around a perimeter of the cap with a plurality of cap steps formed in the side surface. The cap is positioned at an entrance to the cavity such that the plurality of housing steps align with the plurality of cap steps and welded in place. Flash from the weld is captured in a flash trap so that no weld flash is visible on the exterior surface of the enclosure.
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF AN INSULATING PROFILE
A method for producing insulating profiles comprises manufacturing a profile body and a first functional element separately, and the profile body and the first functional element are supplied to an ultrasonic welding device, wherein the profile body and the functional element are connected to one another by a material bond by formation of a welded joint. The profile body and the functional element are brought together into a predetermined first cross-sectional geometry during formation of the welded joint and are thereafter guided in this cross-sectional geometry until the plastics material of the welded joint solidifies to such an extent that the profile body and the first functional element are fixed in the predetermined cross-sectional geometry.
Sandwich panel joints and methods for joining sandwich panels
Joints for joining panels together, such as for joining honeycomb sandwich panels used in aerospace applications, and methods of joining said panels are disclosed. In some examples of disclosed joints, a first panel and a second panel can be joined together to form a joint. The first panel can be a flat panel that includes a rabbet formed along a first longitudinal edge, and the second panel can be a curved panel that includes a notch formed along a second longitudinal edge. In forming the joint, a portion of the rabbet can be positioned within the notch, and the flat panel and curved panel can be oriented at a non-parallel and non-perpendicular angle to one another. Adhesive can be applied along the rabbet and/or the notch in order to secure the joint.
Machine for sealing plastic profiled elements
The machine (1) for sealing plastic profiled elements comprises: a base frame (6); retention means (7, 8) of at least a profiled element (P) of plastic material having a first main face (2), a second main face (3), a first lateral face (4), a second lateral face (5) and respective areas to seal (Z), the retention means (7, 8) being associated with the base frame (6) and comprising a first support element (7) movable along a first direction of sliding (A) and a second support element (8) mounted on the first support element (7) and movable relative thereto along a second direction of sliding (B); a heat-sealing element with heated plate (11), having two mutually opposite surfaces on which the areas to seal (Z) to be heated are placeable in contact; sliding means (9, 10) of the retention means (7, 8) adapted to shift the profiled elements (P) between a position of reciprocal moving away and a position of mutual approach wherein the heated areas to seal (Z) are joined together; wherein the machine (1) comprises positioning means (13, 14) associated with the support elements (7, 8) and adapted to receive a portion of one of the lateral faces (4, 5); locking means (15, 28) movably associated with the retention means (7, 8) and adapted to keep the profiled elements (P) in a locking configuration wherein one of the main faces (2, 3) is kept into contact with one of the support elements (7, 8) and one of the lateral faces (4, 5) is arranged into contact with the positioning means (13, 14), and wherein the locking means (15, 28) prevent the profiled elements (P) from rotating around the longitudinal axis of the profiled elements themselves.
