CARTRIDGE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CARTRIDGE

Exposure of a leftover material at a cartridge that forms a vapor product is prevented. There is provided a cartridge that is assembled in a part of a vapor product that includes a heating element for heating an aerosol source. The cartridge includes a first component and a second component, at least one of which being formed of resin, and a connection section whose one end is connected to the first component and whose another end is joined or welded to the second component. The second component includes a facing surface that faces the first component, and an outermost edge of the facing surface. The other end of the connection section is joined or welded to the facing surface of the second component, at a position away from the outermost edge.

CARTRIDGE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CARTRIDGE

A leftover material is prevented from being generated from a part, of a cartridge that forms a vapor product, where positioning is performed. There is provided a cartridge that is assembled in a part of a vapor product that includes a heating element for heating an aerosol source. The cartridge includes a first component and a second component, at least one of which being formed of resin, a connection section that extends between the first component and the second component, with one end connected to the first component and another end connected to the second component, and a guide section that extends from the first component, and that is not joined or welded to the second component. The second component includes a receiving section where the guide section fits.

Conduit coupling apparatus and method

A coupling may be configured to receive and secure an insertion end of a conduit. An outer surface of the insertion end of the conduit may be smooth and free of grooves, flanges and beads. A first member of the coupling may define a first passageway. A second member of the coupling may define a second passageway. The first member may be in engagement with the second member. A gripping ring having an inner edge defining a series of teeth may be disposed within the second member. A support ring and O-ring may also be disposed within the second member.

Structural block assembly

A block assembly for connecting a first section and a second section of a load bearing assembly includes a male fitting and a female fitting. The male fitting includes a male fitting body and a projection extending from the male fitting body. The female fitting includes a female fitting body and defines a fitting cavity extending within an interior of the female fitting body. The male fitting couples with the female fitting by inserting the male fitting body within the fitting cavity and moving the male fitting body toward a base of the female fitting. The projection on the male fitting interacts with an interlocking joint on the female fitting to resist detachment of the male fitting with respect to the female fitting.

Connection arrangement and method for welding a first plastic component to a second plastic component

A connection arrangement includes a first plastic component, a second plastic component, and a closed induction ring. The first plastic component has a first joining region designed as a receptacle, and at one end, the second plastic component has a second joining region introduced into the first joining region. At the joining regions, the induction ring is at least partially fused into the two plastic components such that at one contact region between a first plastic melt of the first plastic component and a second plastic melt of the second plastic melt, a material-conclusive connection is generated. In this case, the induction ring is melted into the first plastic component while forming at least one first undercut, and is melted into the second plastic component while forming at least one second undercut such that between the plastic components and the induction ring, one each form-fitting connection is created.

IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO WIND TURBINE BLADE MANUFACTURE

A method of making and testing a wind turbine blade comprises providing a structural member having a web portion and a flange portion, where the flange portion extends away from the web portion and a curvilinear heel is defined between the web and flange portions. 5 A flange extender is integrated with the flange portion, where a first section of the flange extender overlies the flange portion, and a second section of the flange extender extends past the heel and away from the web portion. The flange extender is bonded to the inner surface of a wind turbine blade shell. Non-destructive test (NDT) equipment is used to assess the integrity of the bond by identifying first and second target surfaces of the 10 structural member. The target surfaces are spaced apart by an intermediate region, corresponding to the location of the heel, where it is not possible to positively identify any surface using NDT techniques. Identification of the two target surfaces indicates a good integrity bond in the intermediate region, whereas identification of only one, or neither, of the target surfaces indicates a poor integrity bond. 15

IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO WIND TURBINE BLADE MANUFACTURE

A method of forming a structural web for a wind turbine blade comprises providing a web member having a web portion and a flange portion extending away from each other, where 5 a heel of substantially curvilinear form is located between the web portion and the flange portion. A planar flange extender comprising a cured composite material is arranged together with the web member with the flange extender positioned adjacent to the flange portion so that a portion of the flange extender projects past the heel and away from the web portion. The flange extender is integrated with the web member in a resin matrix, or 10 with an adhesive, to form the structural web. A structural web and a wind turbine blade comprising the web is disclosed.

PIPING SYSTEM FOR AIR CONDITIONER
