Fluid connecting system and cryoprobe with same
The fluid connecting system comprises a connecting piece (16) that consists of a single injection-molded part of plastic material, said part accommodating a coaxial first fluid conveying arrangement (15), as well as an also coaxial second fluid conveying arrangement (17) and providing several adhesive reservoirs that allow a pressure-resistant gluing of the two fluid conveying arrangements (15, 17) to each other by a reliable safe process.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A method of bonding a first object to a second object, including the steps of: providing a profile body having a first profile body portion; providing the first object, wherein the first object has thermoplastic material; providing the second object, wherein the profile body is separate from and attachable to the second object or wherein the second object includes the profile body; embedding the profile body in the first object such that the first profile body portion is within the thermoplastic material of the first object. Embedding the profile body in the first object is caused by mechanical energy impinging on the first object and/or on the second object while the first object and the second object are pressed against each other.
Joint structure and method of manufacturing joint structure
A joint structure comprising a light-absorbable member having at least one opening portion and a light-permeable member superposed on the light-absorbable member so as to cover the opening portion, wherein an annular weld part is formed so as to enclose the opening portion and join the light-absorbable member and the light-permeable member, and an area ratio of a portion at the side of the light-absorbable member to a portion at the side of the light-permeable member side is in a range of 12-35 viewing a section perpendicular to the extending direction of the annular weld part.
Bonding process and system
A system and process for bonding involves a pocket made into one article is used to secure that article to another using a flowable, curable material (e.g., resin) which during saturation enters through a passageway and at least partially fills the void. When the article is cured, the article is bonded to another article to which resin has also been applied since the void (now containing cured material) is larger than the passageway.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A method of bonding a second object to a first object includes: providing the first object having a thermoplastic liquefiable material in a solid state; providing the second object having a surface portion that has a coupling structure with an undercut, so that the second object is capable of making a positive-fit connection with the first object; pressing the second object against the first object with a tool that is in physical contact with a coupling-in structure of the second object while mechanical vibrations are coupled into the tool; continuing to press and couple vibrations into the tool until a flow portion of the thermoplastic material of the first object is liquefied and flows into the coupling structures of the second object; and letting the thermoplastic material re-solidify to yield a positive-fit connection between the first and second objects by the re-solidified flow portion interpenetrating the coupling structures.
LIQUID STORAGE BOTTLE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A liquid storage bottle includes a bottle body having a resin-made first cylindrical part at one end, the first cylindrical part having an opening at its front end, and a tubular nozzle for pouring out the liquid contained in the inside of the bottle body by way of the opening, the tubular nozzle having a resin-made second cylindrical part bonded to the bottle body. The inner peripheral surface of the second cylindrical part is welded to the outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical part. The outer peripheral surface of the first cylindrical part is provided with an annular groove extending in the circumferential direction and the annular groove is made to contain a part of the resin that is molten during the bonding operation.
Double shear bonded joint and method for making same
Channel joints (1) can permit bonding a tube or tubular member (30) to an end fitting (20) in double shear. The channel joint may include a receiving channel (25) in the end fitting (20) that is complementary in shape to the tube, tubular member, or other hollow member (30) that is to be fitted and bonded with the end fitting. The use of a channel joint allows for simplified assembly because the receiving channel acts as a reservoir for the bonding agent or adhesive (50). Upon insertion of the tube, tubular member, or other hollow member into the adhesive-loaded receiving channel, the adhesive will backflow to fill the voids in the joint and expel the excess adhesive.
Joint structure and method of manufacturing joint structure
A joint structure comprises a light-absorbable member having at least one opening portion and a light-permeable member superposed on the light-absorbable member so as to cover the opening portion, wherein an annular weld part is formed so as to enclose the opening portion and join the light-absorbable member and the light-permeable member, and the light-permeable member is formed into a thin sheet adhering to the light-absorbable member by deforming at a depressurized state of an interior of the opening portion before the formation of the annular weld part.
JOINING THERMOPLASTIC WORKPIECES WITH INDUCTION HEATING
A method of joining workpieces includes the steps of bringing a first workpiece and a second workpiece together, induction heating a susceptor material, and pressing the workpieces together. Each workpiece may include a thermoplastic material, and the workpieces are brought together at a joint interface so that a protrusion of the first workpiece is aligned with a receptacle of the second workpiece. The susceptor material is in contact with the thermoplastic material of the first workpiece during heating such that the thermoplastic material of the first workpiece softens. The step of pressing is performed while the thermoplastic material of the first workpiece is softened, thereby reshaping the first workpiece where the susceptor material is in contact with the thermoplastic material of the first workpiece. The protrusion is deformed to form an interlock with the receptacle at the joint interface.
Method for manufacturing composite airfoils
The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus and method for manufacturing a composite component. The apparatus includes a mold onto which the composite component is formed. The mold is disposed within a grid defined by a first axis and a second axis. The apparatus further includes a first frame assembly disposed above the mold and a plurality of machine heads coupled to the first frame assembly within the grid in an adjacent arrangement along the first axis. At least one of the mold or the plurality of machine heads is moveable along the first axis, the second axis, or both. At least one of the machine heads of the plurality of machine heads is moveable independently of one another along a third axis. A second frame assembly is moveable above the mold along the first axis, the second axis, or both. The second frame assembly includes a holding device. The holding device affixes to and releases from an outer skin to place and displace the outer skin at the mold.
