The present invention relates to a livestock management system. The system includes a stockyard. A suspended herder is provided for herding livestock in the stockyard. The body hair dryer once manufactured will reduce the amount of time normally taken to dry large areas, and amounts of hair, wool or fur, after an individual or animal has become wet by bathing, showering, sweating, swimming or being emersed into water by any means. Until now, after being exposed to, or emersed into water or moisture and being removed from said water or moisture the typical process included the use of a large cloth towel, and in some cases hand-held heated hair dryers to dispel or aid in the dissipation process of most of the water or moisture that is present on the body. These methods typically leave the outer or external body hair in certain areas not completely dry and in some case with excess moisture.

A teat sprayer for use in dairy applications is described that uses an articulated arm and system to deliver a spray to a teat and move between multiple dairy animals.

In one aspect the dairy animal teat treatment apparatus, comprises a spray inlet, a spray nozzle, a flow path extending between the spray inlet and the spray nozzle, and an articulated arm conveying the spray nozzle, movement of the articulated arm driven by an actuator. Articulated arm movement may be between a retracted position in which the spray nozzle and articulated arm are retracted and an extended position in which at least part of the articulated arm and spray nozzle thereon is extended, moving the spray nozzle to a position configured to be about an animal's udder.

In a further aspect, the apparatus, comprises an animal sensor positioned generally above and behind an animal bail and directed generally downwards configured to sense the presence of an animal in the animal bail; and a controller configured to actuate spraying of the animal's teats from spray nozzle extension and retraction in response to a signal received from the sensor.

The apparatus may act to reduce cost through reduced numbers of treatment apparatus and/or lower labour costs and expenses; increase accuracy/efficiency through automation and speed of treatment; address issues associated with the inconvenience/space constraints in dairy platform configurations; and minimise the number of sensors required and position these sensors away from the animal bail.

The disclosed system and method includes a pet enclosure to facilitate easy pet washing and care. The enclosure includes circular openings to comfortably secure pets' heads, openings for hand access to pet, and grated, non-slip flooring for pet comfort. The enclosure includes tools for ease of washing including water and shampoo spraying hoses, hose holders, openings for blow dryers, valves to control water on/off and temperature control, an inline shampoo compartment, and a door for pet entry/exit. The system also includes restraints of pet movement inside the enclosure for an added measure of pet comfort. The enclosure also includes two attachments, the shampoo compartment and a shampoo hose connector. Handles on top of the enclosure make it easy to transport.

A pet cleaning glove includes a glove body, a scrubbing arrangement, a water supply arrangement and a cleaning supply arrangement. The glove body, which is made of waterproof material, has at least a finger pocket, a thumb pocket, and a palm pocket, and defines a palmar side and a dorsal side. The scrubbing arrangement is provided at the palmar side of the finger pocket and the palmar side of the thumb pocket only. The water supply arrangement includes an inlet port adapted for connecting to a water source and at least an outlet port formed at the palmar side of the finger pocket for dispensing water from the water source. The cleaning supply arrangement is provided at the palmar side of the palm pocket for receiving a cleaning agent, wherein the glove body is folded at the palm pocket thereof for squeezing out the cleaning agent.

A portable pet drying apparatus is disclosed. Embodiments of the portable pet drying apparatus include a connectable frame. The connectable frame including a plurality of detachably connected members. The portable pet drying apparatus also including a detachable water-resistant cover. The detachable water-resistant cover detachably connected to the connectable frame to form a top surface, bottom surface, front surface, back surface, first side surface and second side surface defining an interior chamber. The front surface having an opening extending therethrough for a pet to enter and exit the interior chamber of the portable pet drying apparatus. In some embodiments, the connectable frame is movable between a stowed position where the interior chamber is at least partially collapsed and a deployed position where the connectable frame is extended so that the detachable water resistant cover defines the interior chamber of the portable pet drying apparatus.
