Outer Skin Component for a Motor Vehicle and Method for Producing an Outer Skin Component
An outer skin component for a motor vehicle is designed as a shell component with an outer shell and an inner shell, which are in each case designed as fiber-reinforced plastics shells with a fiber reinforcement embedded into a thermosetting plastic matrix. The fiber reinforcement of the outer shell consists of one or more layers of nonwoven material.
OPTICAL UNIT, SMARTPHONE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF OPTICAL UNIT
An optical unit has an optical element reflecting light between intersecting first and second directions, and a holder. The holder includes a holder body extending in a third direction intersecting the first and second directions, and a pair of surface portions extending from the holder body in an intersection direction intersecting the third direction. The optical element is arranged between the surface portions. At least one surface portion has an inner surface facing the optical element, an end surface connected to an edge of the inner surface in an intersection direction, and a concave portion arranged astride the inner and end surfaces and recessed in the intersection direction from the end surface. The concave portion accommodates an adhesive member bonding the optical element with the holder. The length of the concave portion along the end surface is greater than the depth of the concave portion in the intersection direction.
Automotive lighting and/or signaling device and assembly method thereof
A lighting and signaling device for automotive vehicles, comprising a container body delimiting a containment housing closed by a lenticular body, which accommodates at least one first light source and is closed by a lenticular body, a first light guide configured to receive as input at least partially the light beam produced by the first light source, transmits the light beam by total internal reflection along a first prevailing propagation direction and sends it as output from the lenticular body. A fixing and/or screen element, opaque to the light beam is associated with the first light guide at a first interface wall, and is fixed either directly or indirectly onto the container body to mechanically block the first light guide onto the container body. The first light guide is mechanically fixed to the fixing and/or screen element by at least one first welding portion which projects from the first interface wall.
NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY APPARATUS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for controlling a pump system for use in negative pressure wound therapy are described herein. In some embodiments, a method for controlling a pump system includes applying a drive signal to a pump assembly of the pump system, the drive signal alternating between a positive amplitude and a negative amplitude and the drive signal having an offset, and sampling a pressure within a fluid flow path configured to connect the pump system to a wound dressing configured to be placed over a wound during one or more time intervals. Each of the one or more time intervals can occur when the drive signal is approximately at an amplitude equal to one or more sampling amplitudes.
METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A FIRST METAL PART WITH A SECOND PART MADE OF AN ORGANIC MATRIX COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND PIECE MADE FROM SUCH AN ASSEMBLY
The invention relates to a method for assembling a first metal part with a second part made of an organic matrix composite material, the first part having a first connecting portion and the second part having a second connecting portion, the method comprising the steps of: causing the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion to overlap, a through-hole of the second connecting portion opening onto the first connecting portion, forming a protective layer on the side wall of the through-hole, forming a seal between the protective layer and the first connecting portion, and forming, by additive manufacturing using cold gas spray deposition of metal powder, a fastening element which extends into the through-hole, is fastened to the first connecting portion and encloses the second connecting portion.
METHOD OF MAKING A CENTRIFUGAL PUMP IMPELLER
A method for producing a centrifugal pump impeller having a base plate, which is a single piece with pump blades and a cover plate, which consists of a thermoplastic material, wherein contact areas are available, which are heated and melted by means of ultrasonic excitation and form a close bonded connection after cool-down. The objective of the invention is to ensure inherent stability with the individual parts and a simple and reliable pre-assembly as well as a fixed mechanical connection, wherein only a small amount of excitation energy is required, with a centrifugal pump impeller comprising a base plate and cover plate.
RESIN MOLDING METHOD
A resin molding method includes a first molding step, a sliding step, a second molding step and a mold opening step. In the first molding step, first molded part supported in a fixed mold and a second molded part supported in a die slide mold are molded in different positions in a second direction. In the sliding step, the movable mold is removed in a first direction and the first molded part and the second molded part are aligned by the die slide mold is moved in the second direction. In the second molding step, the movable mold is clamped again with the fixed mold and resin is injected into engaged portions. Each of the first molded part and the second molded part includes at least one wall extending in the first direction, and in the second molding step, the first molded part and the second molded part are engaged with each other at sides of the walls extending in the first direction.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR JOINING PLASTIC COMPONENTS
An automotive vehicle includes a body with a front portion and a rear portion. The vehicle additionally includes a spoiler coupled to the rear portion. The spoiler includes a first portion, a second portion, and a cap. The first portion includes a first plastic material, the second portion includes a second plastic material, and the cap includes a third plastic material. The second plastic material is distinct from the first plastic material. The second portion is disposed between the first portion and the cap. The second portion has a through hole extending therethrough. The cap has a diameter exceeding that of the through hole. The first portion and the cap are welded together via the through hole to mechanically secure the second portion to the first portion.
Watertight welding methods and components
A method for watertight welding, and components formed using that welding method, wherein the welding method includes providing a first component half with a groove and a protruding ridge located therein, providing a second component half with a tenon shaped to match the profile of the groove, disposing the tenon inside the groove such that the tenon contacts the protruding ridge, applying an ultrasonic power source near the groove to melt the protruding ridge, and applying opposing vertical force to the first component half relative to the second component half, such that the protruding ridge wedges in a bonding seam between an outside surface of the tenon and an inside surface of the groove.
SNAP-ACTION NON-SEPARABLE CONNECTION BETWEEN A LID AND CONTAINER, THE LATTER INTENDED PARTICULARLY FOR BEVERAGES
