An apparatus for manufacturing a container that includes a side wall (5) in the form of a tube and a base (7) at one end of the tube. The apparatus includes a tube forming unit (15) for progressively folding a length of a sheet (19) of a side wall material into an elongate tube shape (21) having a forward end (23) for receiving a base (7) of the container and welding together lengthwise extending sides of the sheet to form the tube. The apparatus also includes a base attachment unit (17) for positioning a base of the container on the forward end of the tube.

Method for manufacturing a casing of an aircraft turbomachine, the casing including an annular shell extending about an axis A and made of a composite material including fibres that are woven and immersed in a resin, the annular layer including an abradable material arranged inside the shell, and covering a first inner annular surface of an intermediate section of the shell, the method including a step of gluing the layer on the first surface, during which the casing is heated and compressed by a system that is present at least partially inside the casing, wherein, prior to the heating and compression of the casing, a forming tool is mounted inside the casing and is made of two rings.
Apparatus and method for joining molecularly oriented pipe
A pipe joining system and pipe joint are shown m which two sections of molecularly oriented pipe are joined using heat shrinking techniques. A first section of pipe is provided having a straight, pre-formed socket with an internal diameter and with an end opening having enough clearance to allow a mating spigot section having a given external diameter to be inserted into the socket end opening. After the spigot end is inserted to a given depth, the socket is heated sufficiently so that the internal diameter of the socket end comes into contact with the external diameter of the spigot end, the molecularly oriented pipe being in a rubbery state and exhibiting a low elastic modulus which allows the socket end to conform tightly to the spigot end external diameter without deforming the spigot end.
Conduit coupling apparatus and method
A coupling may be configured to receive and secure an insertion end of a conduit. An outer surface of the insertion end of the conduit may be smooth and free of grooves, flanges and beads. A first member of the coupling may define a first passageway. A second member of the coupling may define a second passageway. The first member may be in engagement with the second member. A gripping ring having an inner edge defining a series of teeth may be disposed within the second member. A support ring and O-ring may also be disposed within the second member.
Multi-Layer Injection Molded Container
A coinjection molded multi-layer container includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and a barrier layer. The inner layer includes a first polymeric material and forms an inside surface of the container. The outer layer includes the first polymeric material and forms an outside surface of the container. The barrier layer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer and includes a second polymeric material less permeable to gas than the first polymeric material. The barrier layer is biased toward the inside surface or the outside surface such that the inner layer and the outer layer have different thicknesses.
Flexible pipe and coupling therefor
Construction of a sealed connection between an elastomeric or synthetic polymer flexible pipe or hose and a metallic coupling member. The coupling member surrounds an armor layer at a free end of the flexible pipe or hose. A sealing area is defined by a recessed portion of the pipe coupling into which a sealing material is introduced. An inner liner layer of the flexible pipe or hose may extend into the sealing area where it is bonded to the sealing material. The sealing material and the inner liner layer may each be comprised of a semi-crystalline thermoplastic material. Furthermore, a reinforcement material may be provided in the inner liner layer.

The application relates to a method for producing a double-walled pipe (1) and a pipe (1) of this type, having an outer pipe (3) which is press-fitted with an inner pipe (2) consisting of a corrosion-resistant alloy, wherein an adhesive (4) is inserted at least in regions between the outer pipe (3) and the inner pipe (2), wherein, after adhering the inner pipe (2) with the outer pipe (3), the inner pipe (2) and the adhesive layer (4) are removed at the pipe ends, and the inner side of the outer pipe (3) is plated via an integral connection with the inner pipe (2).

A coinjection molded multi-layer container includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and a barrier layer. The inner layer includes a first polymeric material and forms an inside surface of the container. The outer layer includes the first polymeric material and forms an outside surface of the container. The barrier layer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer and includes a second polymeric material less permeable to gas than the first polymeric material. The barrier layer is biased toward the inside surface or the outside surface such that the inner layer and the outer layer have different thicknesses.
Welding method
A method for welding a first hose end at a joint with a second hose end in a seam that extends on a circumference of the first hose end, the method comprising the steps: applying a protective layer at the joint to an inside of the first hose end; pushing the second hose end beyond the joint over the first hose end; pressing the first hose end and the second hose end together flat at the joint between two first damping jaws that are moved towards each other; welding the first hose end and the second hose end together by two first partial seams while pressed together, wherein the protective layer prevents a welding of the inside of the first hose end; releasing the first hose end and the second hose end from the two first clamping jaws after welding the two first partial seams.
