The connection port assembly has a ball joint connection with the mask assembly and includes a quick release button for easily disconnecting the gases source conduit from the mask assembly. The mask assembly may include a bias flow vent that is formed separately and attached to the mask assembly. The headgear assembly encircles the rear region of the user's head and may include at least some portions that are substantially non-stretchable.
VIBRATION WELDING DEVICE AND VIBRATION WELDING METHOD
A vibration welding device has a first tool being with a vibration welding head arranged at a first support, wherein the vibration welding head vibrates in use in a first plane, and the first tool receives a first component, a second tool arranged at a second support, wherein the second tool receives a second component or a stack of welded components. The first and the second support are movable with respect to each other at least along a second axis perpendicular to the first plane from an initial position to a vibration welding position. A clamping arrangement having at least two oppositely arranged clamping devices, each having a clamping surface which is moveable along the first axis between a clamping position and open position, wherein in the clamping position, movement of the second component or the stack of welded components at least along the first axis is hindered during vibration welding.
System and method for improving thermoset-thermoplastic interface adhesion
Illustrative examples of forming and using suitably adapted materials for improving interface strength between thermoset-thermoplastic joined parts includes exposure of a thermoplastic substrate to a plasma to form an amine-functionalized substrate having amine chemical moieties disposed on a first surface. The first surface of the thermoplastic substrate is positioned adjacent to and contacts a second surface of a thermoset substrate to form a workpiece. The thermoset substrate includes epoxide chemical moieties on and within material forming the thermoset substrate. The workpiece is subsequently heated to form a structure, where heating of the workpiece causes covalent chemical bonds to form between the plasma-treated first surface of the thermoplastic substrate and the second surface of the thermoset substrate. Thereafter, additional thermoplastic components can be fusion bonded to a surface of the thermoplastic substrate opposite the first surface—thereby providing improved attachment of additional thermoplastic components to the thermoset substrate.
METHOD FOR THE INSPECTION OF BONDING PATTERNS OF PACKAGES FOR PRODUCTS
A non-destructive, non-invasive method for inspection of bonding patterns of packages for products, such as patches or medicated patches, involves thermally probing the packages and the bonding patterns and retrieving a thermal response thereof. The inspection is based in the analysis of the thermal response.
Battery Cell and Manufacturing Device for the Same
A device for manufacturing a battery cell according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a sealing tool that forms a sealing part on the outer peripheral surface of a battery case to which an electrode assembly is mounted, wherein the sealing tool comprises a sealing surface that is brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the battery case, and wherein the sealing surface comprises a central surface and an inclined surface formed on at least one side of the central surface.
Assembly for producing sealed packaging units
An assembly for producing sealed packaging units (14) from a sheet packaging material, comprises: an advancement device (21) for advancing the sheet packaging material along an advancement direction (F), a longitudinal sealing device for sealing opposite borders of the sheet packaging material along a longitudinal sealing band arranged parallelly to the advancement direction (F), thereby forming a continuous tube (15), a transverse sealing device (29) for sealing the continuous tube (15) transversely to the advancement direction (F), so as to define a sealed packaging unit (14). The transverse sealing device (29) comprises a sealing element (30) and an abutment element (31) that are intended to mutually cooperate during sealing while being located on opposite sides of the continuous tube (15). The sealing element (30) is so configured as to act on a side (27) of the continuous tube (15) on which the longitudinal sealing band is provided.
Method and apparatus for assembling absorbent articles
The present disclosure relates to assembling elastic laminates that may be used to make absorbent article components. Methods herein may include an anvil adapted to rotate about an axis of rotation, wherein first and second spreader mechanisms adjacent the anvil roll are axially and angularly displaced from each other with respect to the axis of rotation. During the assembly process, a substrate may be advanced in a machine direction onto the rotating anvil. The first spreader mechanism stretches a first elastic material in the cross direction, and the second spreader mechanism stretches a second elastic material in the cross direction. The stretched first and second elastic materials advance from the spreader mechanisms and onto the substrate on the anvil roll. The combined and elastic materials may then be ultrasonically bonded together on the anvil to form at least one elastic laminate.
Manufacturing method of resin frame
A manufacturing method of a resin frame includes preparing a plurality of frame members, installing a pair of the frame members in the corner portion in a pair of molds, melting end surfaces of the pair of the frame members as welding margins, and welding the welding margins. The molds respectively includes a reference surface holding the frame members and a blade portion protruding to an inner side with respect to the reference surface. In the welding, in the corner portion, the pair of the frame members are pressed by the blade portions, so that the welding margin protrudes from between the blade portions, the outer peripheral surfaces of the pair of the frame members are bent inward, and the corner portion is made concave with respect to the portions adjacent to the corner portion.

Method for connecting two components made of a thermoplastic material
A method for connecting two components. In this method, a first component and a second component, which are each formed from a thermoplastic material, are first provided. The first component has a first peel-off ply on a first surface of the first component. The first peel-off ply is removed from the first component. Once the first peel-off ply has been removed, the first surface of the first component is brought into contact with a second surface of the second component. The first component and the second component are then welded to one another at the first and second surface by ultrasonic welding.
