Package with peelable closure
A package includes a closure and a container. The closure is adapted to mate with a brim of the container to close a top opening arranged to open into an interior product-storage region formed in the container.
MULTI PLY THERMOPLASTIC CONVEYOR BELT
Methods include providing a plurality fabric material layers, applying a plastisol layer between each fabric material layer forming plurality fabric material layers thereby creating a belt carcass, pressing the fabric material layers together with the plastisol layer(s) at a pressure of at least 5 psi to produce a preformed fabric carcass while heating the preformed fabric carcass while heating the preformed fabric carcass to a temperature which is within the range of about 360° F. to about 450° F. for a period of at least 6 minutes, disposing a thermoplastic elastomer polyvinyl chloride alloy composition onto the upper and lower surfaces of the fabric carcass, pressing the thermoplastic elastomer polyvinyl chloride alloy composition onto the upper and lower surfaces of the fabric carcass, and splicing opposing distal ends of the belt in a stepped splice configuration. The layers may be devoid of covering strips of lattice fabric disposed adjacent an abutment of any proximally positioned fabric layer.
Multilayer films and sealed packages made from these films
Multilayer Films have a first skin layer that is prepared from a high density polyethylene and a second skin layer (also referred to as the sealant layer) that is prepared from a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density of from 0.90 to 0.92 g/cc and a Dilution Index, Yd, of greater than 0°. Seals can be prepared by placing two pieces of this film against each other such that the sealant layers are in contact with each other, then applying heat to at least one high density skin layer such that heat is transmitted/conducted through the multilayer film in a sufficient amount to melt the sealant layer and form a seal. The use of LLDPE having a Dilution Index of greater than 0° has been found to improve the sealing performance of multilayer films in comparison to multilayer films where the sealant layer is a conventional LLDPE having a Dilution Index of less than 0°.
Welding device for producing tubular bodies
The invention relates to a welding device (1) for producing tubular bodies by the edge-side welding of two substrate edges (2, 3), in particular two laminate edges, said welding device having a continuous, circulating first contact belt (5) for coming into contact with the substrate (4), and an energy source (12, 13) for providing welding energy. According to the invention, the first contact belt (5) has a seamless polyimide contact surface (35) for coming into contact with the substrate (4).
APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR PACKAGING A PRODUCT
A process for packaging a product arranged on a support comprising unrolling a film, moving the film to a packaging assembly defining at its inside a packaging chamber, progressively moving a number of supports inside the packaging chamber of the packaging assembly, closing the packaging chamber with the film sheets held above the respective support, optionally causing one or both of: a gas withdrawal from the hermetically closed packaging chamber and gas injection of a gas mixture of controlled composition, heat sealing the film to said support, wherein the heat sealing uses one or more heaters having heating surfaces which are heated for discrete and short time periods only. An apparatus for performing the above process is also disclosed.

PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE MADE OF COOLING PLATE AND STRUCTURAL COMPONENT
A process for producing a composite. The process may include providing a cooling plate through which a temperature-control fluid is flowable, providing a structural component that is coolable via the cooling plate, and fixing and thermal coupling the cooling plate and the structural component to one another via full-surface adhesive bonding the cooling plate and the structural component to one another. Full-surface adhesive bonding the cooling plate and the structural component to one another may include arranging an adhesive in a joint disposed between the cooling plate and the structural component.
Article having fluororesin joint, and method for producing such article
Provided are an article including a joint portion of a fluororesin having sufficient strength, and a method of producing the same. The article includes a joint portion including: a porous first layer of a first fluororesin; a second layer of a second fluororesin having a melting point lower than a melting point of the first fluororesin; and a non-porous third layer formed between the first layer and the second layer, the non-porous third layer including the first fluororesin.
Apparatus and method for making inflated articles
A sealing device generally includes a rotatable support cylinder having an outer, circumferential surface and a heating element disposed about such surface and secured thereto such that the heating element rotates therewith. The heating element is coiled about the outer surface of the cylinder in the form of an overlapping helical pattern. Juxtaposed film plies may be sealed together by bringing the sealing device into rotational contact with the juxtaposed film plies and heating the heating element to a temperature sufficient to cause the film plies to seal together.
Female loop portion having film and filaments anchored by heat-shrinking
A female loop portion for a hook and loop self-adhesive, comprising a film (1) made of at least one thermoplastic and a plurality of filaments (2) which are separate from one another and attached to one of the surfaces of the film, each filament comprising a series of fastening sections (15) and a series of loop sections (4) alternating with the fastening sections, the filaments being attached to the film along the fastening sections while the loop sections are at a distance from the film so as to form loops, and characterized in that a cross-sectional area of one loop section of a filament is less than a cross-sectional area of one fastening section of said one filament.
