The valve and product delivery device have respective annular welds or other seals joining the valve and product delivery to the outer container. The welds, or other seals may be concentric, with one circumscribing the other, in the same plane or different planes. Suitable product delivery devices include bags and dip tubes.
INFRARED WELDING DEVICE
An infrared welding device successively joins component members of a liner to one another. The infrared welding device is equipped with collet chucks that hold domes and a pipe slidably and coaxially with gaps created therebetween respectively, infrared radiation lamps that melt end portions of the domes and end portions of the pipe through heating respectively, vertical operation mechanisms that move the infrared radiation lamps between insertion positions and retreat positions respectively, and a pressing mechanism and a pressure-receiving mechanism that press the end portions of the domes against the end portions of the pipe respectively.
HIGH SPEED WELDER
A welder for constructing and welding plastic fenestration structures, including parts storage bins structured to store and support parts to be assembled to create the plastic fenestration structures; wheels that receive the parts from the parts storage bins; aligners that position the parts relative to one another; heating plates that apply heat to ends of the parts thereby rendering at least a portion of the ends of the parts molten; parts shifters operably shiftable between a first position adjacent the wheels and a second position remotely located from the wheels that shift the parts to a fusing position in which adjacent parts are abutted together at a fusing station to produce the plastic fenestration structure; and at least one cooling station at which the plastic fenestration structure is held.
HEAT-CAULKING DEVICE
This heat-caulking device is inserted into one or more holes penetrating a main plate having a substantially conical hollow portion, whereby one or more bosses of a blade protruding from an inner peripheral surface of the main plate toward the hollow portion are melted so as to join the main plate and the blade. A heat chip of the heat-caulking device has a substantially conical hollow main body portion, an outer peripheral surface of which conforms to the inner peripheral surface of the main plate. On the outer peripheral surface of the main body portion, a convex portion protruding toward the vicinity of the holes of the inner peripheral surface of the main plate is provided.
SONOTRODE
A sonotrode includes multiple layers of a material melted to one another to form a structure. The structure provides a base that has an attachment feature that is configured to operatively secure to an ultrasonic converter. The structure includes a shaft that extends from the base to a terminal end that provides a working surface that is configured to selectively engage a workpiece.
Packaging apparatus and method
A packaging apparatus, in particular for packaging smoking articles, includes a wrapping device for wrapping a barrier film around an item to be packaged, such as a pack of smoking articles; and at least one sealing head having a contact surface for contacting the barrier film wrapped around the item and sealing the barrier film along a seam to form a protective enclosure around the item. The contact surface of the sealing head is at least partially discontinuous to provide a non-sealing region in the sealing head. In this way, the non-sealing region can be positioned to at least partially, and preferably wholly, overlie a frangible part or strip provided in the barrier film.
Process and system for the manufacture of windows/doors
The process for the manufacture of windows/doors (1), characterized by the fact that it comprises the following steps: providing at least one inner panel (2) for windows/doors; providing a plurality of plastic profiled elements (3) for windows/doors, each of the profiled elements (3) comprising at least two areas to seal (5), coupleable to the areas to seal (5) of the other profiled elements (3), and at least one longitudinal slot (6), in which a respective perimeter side (4) of the inner panel (2) is insertable; performing a step of mechanical machining by chip removal on at least one of the areas to seal (5); heating the areas to seal (5); coupling the heated areas to seal (5) to one another by pressing the profiled elements (3) one against the other to maintain the areas to seal (5) in mutual contact and define the frame for windows/doors, the coupling taking place with the inner panel (2) inserted in the longitudinal slots (6) to define a window/door (1) which is composed by the frame and by the inner panel (2) contained in the frame.
Assembly for protecting acoustic device
An assembly (1) for protecting an acoustic device comprises an expanded polytetrafluorethylene (ePTFE) membrane (3) and first and second polymeric substrates (2, 4) disposed on opposing sides (5, 6) of the membrane (3). The first substrate (2) is transmissive for laser light of a predetermined wavelength, and the membrane (3) is joined to the first and second substrates (2, 4) by first and second laser weld joints (9, 10) on the first side (5) of the membrane (3) and the second side (6) of the membrane (3), respectively, that are created in a single laser transmission welding step through the first polymeric substrate (2) towards the second polymeric substrate (4). The first side (5) of the membrane (3) may be at least partially absorbent for the laser light and the second side (6) may be at least partially transmissive for the laser light. This may be achieved by a color gradient from black to white from the first side (5) to the second side (6).
Thermal caulking method, thermal caulking device, and caulked material
Provided is a thermal caulking method of melting, at one time, a plurality of bosses 33 of a second member 30 protruding toward an inner circumferential surface of a conical hollow portion 11 of a first member 10 while being fitted to a plurality of holes 132 provided in the inner circumferential surface of the hollow portion 11 of the first member 10 having the substantially conical hollow portion 11 so that the plurality of bosses are joined to the first member 10, in which the plurality of bosses 33 are melted at one time by using a heat chip 51 having a continuous shape in the circumferential direction of the hollow portion 11 along the inner circumferential surface and are joined to the first member 10 while the adjacent melted bosses 33 are connected to each other.
PILE WEATHERSTRIPPING AND OTHER PILE AND BRUSH ARTICLES HAVING PILES OR BRUSHES EXCLUSIVELY OF POLYAMIDE (NYLON) REACTIVELY BONDED TO AN UNLIKE PLASTIC MATERIAL ESPECIALLY POLYPROPYLENE
Pile articles (20,22), especially pile weather stripping, and a method and apparatus (10) for making such articles where the backing (24) and the pile (26) are of unlike material, especially nylon yarn for the pile (26) and polypropylene containing material for the backing (24), wherein prior to the welding of the pile (26) to the backing (24) the pile is first pre- heated using ultrasonic energy to melt the pile in a region (65) thereof where the pile is ultrasonically welded to the backing and before the weld is made. The ultrasonic melting occurs upstream of the location where the pile (26) is welded to the backing (24) so that the ultrasonically pre-heated melted region (65) of the pile (26) can cool and become at least partially solidified. Then pile (26) at the pre-heated melted region (65) is welded to the backing (24) and causes a reactive or chemical weld to occur, thereby attaching the pile (26) to the backing (24).
