FILM SECURING APPARATUS AND METHOD
Systems, apparatuses, and methods to secure a film to a container are provided. An example sealing device utilizes film from a supply of film to seal a lid onto a container. Various sizes of containers are usable with some example sealing devices. Additional features, such as printing on the film and piercing the film for ventilation and/or insertion of a straw are contemplated. One or more markings along the film may be utilized for confirming that an approved film has been loaded into the sealing device. In response, various components or features of the sealing device may be appropriately enabled or disabled. The one or more markings may also be utilized to convey data to the sealing device regarding the installed film, such as for improved operation thereof.

There is described a unit (1, 1, 1) for forming/advancing at least one pack (3) or at least one portion of a pack (3), comprising a frame (11, 12a, 12b), a selectively activatable/deactivatable source of power (42) and at least one carriage (14a, 14b) operationally coupled with source of power (42), movable along a path (13a, 13b) comprising at least one vertical portion (18a, 18b, 19a, 19b), and adapted to convey said at least one pack (3) or said at least one portion of a pack (3); unit (1, 1, 1) comprises stopping means (45) fitted to frame (12a, 12b) and which can be operated: to leave carriage (14a, 14b) free to advance along vertical portion (18a, 18b; 19a, 19b), when source of power (42) is activated, and to stop carriage (14a, 14b) along vertical portion (18a, 18b; 19a, 19b), when source of power is, in use, deactivated.
Reciprocating sealer for web converters
Various device embodiments perform a sealing operation on a moving web, and comprise, among other things a plate assembly with an air cylinder assembly. The air cylinder assembly comprises a mount, a back plate, at least one air cylinder positioned between the mount and the back plate. The first plate assembly further includes a linear servo motor for linearly moving the air cylinder assembly with respect to the first base, and a first tooling plate with a sealing surface area. The first tooling plate coupled to the back plate.
AUTOMATED ULTRASONIC PRESS SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WELDING PHYSICALLY VARIANT COMPONENTS
The present disclosure can provide for an ultrasonic welding method for a pair of workpieces. The method can include first pressing an ultrasonic welding stack against a first workpiece in the pair so that the first workpiece comes into contact with a second workpiece in the pair. The method can then provide for initiating a weld phase by outputting energy from the ultrasonic welding stack to the first workpiece. The method can provide for monitoring, with at least one sensor, a sensed parameter. The sensed parameter can be, for example, weld force and/or weld force rate of change. The method can provide for determining whether the sensed parameter has reached a predetermined level. Based on determining that the sensed parameter has reached the predetermined level, the method can provide for ending the weld phase.
QUASI-SIMULTANEOUS LASER WELDING PROCESS
A method for the quasi-simultaneous welding of at least two types of welding by means of a laser beam, wherein the laser beam originates from a laser optic which is associated with a platform of a delta robot and is guided by a movement of this platform.
HIGH-SPEED SOFT CAPSULE FORMING MACHINE
Disclosed is a high-speed soft capsule forming machine comprising: a sheet forming part for forming two gelatin sheets; a pair of die rolls for heat sealing the gelatin sheets and simultaneously forming the same into a capsule shape; a wedge positioned at the upper sides of the pair of die rolls, heating the gelatin sheets at a predetermined temperature, and having a plurality of nozzles, which are formed to be aligned therein, for receiving liquid medicine from a liquid medicine feeding part and respectively injecting the same between the gelatin sheets inserted into cavities of the pair of die rolls; and a controller for controlling the rotational speed of the die rolls, the temperature of the wedge, the rotational speed and temperature of a cooling drum, and the intervals of nozzle operations for injecting the liquid medicine according to the angle of the nozzles formed in the wedge with respect to the center of the die roll and a set number value of lines in which the nozzles are aligned.
AIR CUSHION INFLATION MACHINE
A methods of executing start, run, and stop sequences on a machine for converting a web of preformed pouches into inflated dunnage units. The pouches are defined by transverse seals extending from a remote edge to within a predetermined distance from an inflation edge.
Heat-sealing device and filling-packing machine provided therewith
A heat-sealing device is capable of properly changing a pushing force applied from the heat-sealing roll to the packing film in accordance with the feeding rate of the packing film. A heat-sealing device for holding an elongated packing film with a pair of heat sealing rolls arranged in parallel to each other to form a heat sealed portion includes a pushing means made of a first cylinder and a second cylinder for holding the packing film with the heat-sealing rolls by pushing through an action of fluid pressure, a fluid pressure controlling means capable of adjusting the fluid pressure of the pushing means, and a superior controlling means for rendering a total value of pushing forces of the first cylinder and second cylinder into a proper pushing force and operating one or both of the first cylinder and the second cylinder in accordance with the feeding rate of the packing film.
PACKAGING MACHINE
A packaging machine including a hot plate assembly adapted to fuse a length of heat-sensitive film wrapped around a package. A controller is adapted to calculate a time period the heating element is energized to fuse the length of heat-sensitive film wrapped around the package based on an initial temperature of the heating element. A hot plate status indicator is adapted to indicate at least to different statuses of operation of the packaging machine.
Method of Controlling Air Temperature for Making Seals
A method and apparatus for making bags from a film that follows a film path through a bag machine includes an input section located on the film path, a sealing section located on the film path down stream of the input section, an output section located on the film path downstream of the sealing section, and a controller, connected to control the sealing section.
