An automatic welding machine for thermally joining sheets of material, in particular for edge side joining of an overlapping upper material sheet to a lower of material sheet, to be connected to one another in a materially bonded manner under the application of heat and subsequent application of pressure, is provided comprising: a heating device for at least partially heating the material sheets to be joined in a connection region; a support frame with a housing; a pressure roller; at least two traveling rollers; wherein the pressure roller and the traveling rollers are arranged on the support frame and together with the support frame form a chassis, wherein the chassis comprises a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis perpendicular thereto, which span a chassis plane; wherein at least a first travelling roller of the two travelling rollers and/or the heating device is arranged to be movable by a telescopic pull-out relative to the support frame in directions parallel to the transverse axis; wherein the first travelling roller and the heating device are with respect to a longitudinal center of the chassis arranged on opposite sides of the chassis. Further a corresponding method is provided.
Foam-in-bag systems and components thereof
A system for opening and closing a mixing manifold includes a drive motor, a cam plate, and a valving rod connector. The drive motor imparts movement in first and second directions. Movement imparted in the first direction causes the cam plate to move linearly in a third direction and movement imparted in the second direction causes the cam plate to move linearly in a fourth direction. Movement of the cam plate in the third direction causes the valving rod connector to move linearly in a fifth direction and movement of the cam plate in the fourth direction causes the valving rod connector to move linearly in a sixth direction. Movement of the valving rod connector in the fifth direction causes retraction of a valving rod of the mixing manifold and movement of the valving rod connector in the sixth direction causes extension of the valving rod.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR WELDING A ROOFING MEMBRANE
A machine for welding an overlapped region of two adjacent strips of material and a method of using the same. The machine includes a housing with front and rear ends, a wheel train engaged with the housing for moving the housing across the material; a nozzle on the housing having a welding head at a free end; the nozzle being positionable at least partially beneath the housing's bottom wall for welding the overlapped region; front and rear pressure rollers engaged with the housing, where the front roller is positioned forwardly of the welding head and the rear roller is positioned rearwardly of the welding head; wherein the rear pressure roller applies pressure to the overlapped region when the wheel train moves the housing in a forward direction; and the front pressure roller applies pressure to the overlapped region when the wheel train moves the housing in a reverse direction.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HEAT SEALING FOOD PACKAGING
The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for heat sealing plastic packaging. In various embodiments, the disclosure provides a sealing system including a heater block with one or more coupling mechanisms for removable attachment to a silicone shoe. The silicone shoe includes a metal plate coated with or otherwise attached to a mineral-loaded silicone layer, which provides thermal conductivity. The sealing system can be attached to a conventional sealing assembly such that the silicone layer faces a direction toward lids over plastic packages. The silicone layer has a sealing surface which provides heat and pressure to the lids over the plastic packages thereby sealing the lids to the plastic packages. Due to the coupling mechanism, a degraded silicone shoe can be easily detached and replaced with a new silicone shoe.
Method of recoupling components during reprocessing
A method of recoupling components of a medical device in a desired orientation during reprocessing of the medical device. The method uses a binder to return the components to an adhered condition from a separated condition. The method comprises receiving the components of the medical device in the separated condition with the component spaced from the desired orientation. The components of the medical device are cleaned and arranged in the desired orientation. The binder is applied to recouple the components in the desired orientation to return the components to the adhered condition.
PACKAGING MACHINE WITH TILTING TOOL DRAWER
A packaging machine comprising a machine frame and at least one workstation with a lifting gear for supporting and moving a lower tool part between an open and a closed position. The workstation may include an upper tool part to act in cooperation with the lower tool part during a working operation. The lower tool part may be engaged with or near in proximity to an upper tool part in the closed position, and will be spaced apart from the upper tool part in the open position. A tilting mechanism is provided for a tool changing operation to tilt the lower tool part into a tilted position when the lower tool part is in the open position. In one embodiment, the lower tool part is removed from the packaging machine on a rail system in the direction corresponding to the tilted position.
MACHINE FOR WELDING PROFILED ELEMENTS MADE OF PLASTIC MATERIAL
The machine (1) comprises at least one main welding device (3) of a first profiled element (4) and a second profiled element (5) which extend along their respective longitudinal directions and are each provided with at least one extremal area to be welded (6), the main welding device (3) comprising: main retaining means (18, 19) of the profiled elements (4, 5); main heating means (20) adapted to heat the extremal areas to be welded (6); main displacement means (21) of the main retaining means (18, 19) adapted to displace the profiled elements (4, 5) between a mutual spacing away position and a mutual approaching position;
wherein the main heating means (20) comprise two heating plates (27), each of which can be placed in contact with a respective extremal area to be welded (6) and arranged substantially parallel to each other at a predefined distance to define a free volume (V) positioned between them.
Split Bus Assembly for Heat-Seal Tool
A split bus assembly is provided for a heat-sealing machine. The split bus assembly includes a clamp with first and second clamp segments that abut each other in face-to-face engagement. The engaging surfaces or inner walls of the clamp segments may be coated with a nonconductive material so that the clamp segments are electrically insulated with respect to each other. A tab terminal may be defined at each inner wall, constituting a zone of exposed conductive material which is configured to engage a conductive tab of a heat-seal band during use. Biasing members such as a silicone spring may be arranged in the tool to facilitate ejection of the heat-seal band during a removal procedure. The tool may be cooled by way of cooling fluid that flows through passages in the bus bars.
