Method and a system for producing a component or semifinished product with a fibre-reinforced foam core
A method for producing a component with a fibre-reinforced foam core has the steps of supplying a foam core having a first main surface and an opposite, second main surface, positioning at least one needle at the first main surface of the foam core, piercing the foam core with the needle, with the result that a needle tip penetrates through the first main surface into the foam core and then through the second main surface, hooking a reinforcing fibre into the needle tip, pulling the needle back, with the result that the reinforcing fibre is pulled through the foam core, and coating the reinforcing fibre with a resin while the needle is being pulled back.
COSMETICALLY ALTERED FIBERGLASS PIECE
A cosmetically altered fiberglass piece having an outer layer of curable gel-coat, an intermediate layer of textile fabric having a graphical element depicted thereon, and an inner layer of composite. A resin or epoxy is used to bond the layers to form the cosmetically altered fiberglass piece. Introduction of resin or epoxy is performed through one of a manual application, a vacuum infusion, or light RTM.
Article comprising a fiber reinforced polypropylene composition
The present invention is directed to an article comprising a fiber reinforced composition (C), said composition comprising a propylene polymer (PP), an elastomeric ethylene copolymer (E) and fibers (F).
Process of making a fiber preform of commingled fiber bundle for overmolding
A process of forming the fiber preform includes providing a substrate, applying a first layer of a fiber bundle to the substrate in a predetermined pattern having a principal orientation, stitching the first layer of the fiber bundle to the substrate using a thread, building up subsequent layers of the fiber bundle from the first layer, and stitching each of the subsequent layers to a preceding layer using the thread. A process of forming a unitary reinforced composite material includes the fiber preform. The process of forming a unitary reinforced composite component includes placing the fiber preform a mold platen, heating the perform to promote fusion of the thermoplastic fibers therein, cooling the perform until solidified with contours of the component, and removing the vehicle component from the mold platen.
REPULPABLE CONTAINER
A repulpable insulated container assembly having a container formed of paper such as corrugated cardboard or varying paper materials and defining an interior; and a repulpable insert placed within the interior of the container and formed of a first paper layer; and a paper fiber pad coupled to the first paper layer.

METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL IN SANDWICH FORM
The object of the invention can be a method of manufacturing a product in the form of a sandwich comprising a core and outer layers. The outer layers may be composed of composite material comprising a fiber-reinforced polymeric matrix. The method uses an insert of heat-resistant material, for example silicone. The object of this invention can be to provide a method of manufacturing a sandwich that dissociates the choice of material of the core of the sandwich from the choice of the material of the outer layers.
Method Of Making An Insulation Material And An Insulated Mailer
A method for producing an insulation material is described herein. The method includes mixing cellulose reinforcement fibers with thermoplastic binder fibers to form a mixture. In addition, the method includes applying heat to the mixture to melt the thermoplastic binder fibers such that the thermoplastic binder fibers bind the cellulose reinforcement fibers together to form a batt. The thermoplastic binder fibers make up about 0.5% to about 25% by weight of the batt. Furthermore, the method includes slicing the batt along a horizontal plane to form a first pad having a first thickness and a second pad having a second thickness. Each of the first and second thicknesses is greater than or equal to about 1/16 of an inch.

Impregnated veils
Impregnated veil and compression molding process of reinforcing fiber pre-impregnated continuous and discontinuous thermoset and thermoplastic materials. Veils are incorporated within the process, filming or laminating stages of the pre-pregging, either hotmelt or solvent based processes, in a variety of chosen resins. The veils help to improve visual part quality, reduce fiber splitting, and provide an isolating material in applications where incompatible materials must exist.
